Wait a damn minute....I thought as I quickly looked behind at the calendar. It floated gently, stuck to one of the hooks on the wall. I checked the date today.

"That’s...toda--" Even before I could complete my words, the room suddenly glowed with a dim golden light but that only made it seem more elegant. Glitters showered the entire room in a wave of exotic celebration.
And then the system spoke.

This was unexpected...
My heart warmed with rising emotions as a smile filled my blank face, my happiness pouring out.
Atleast the system wished me...wait!!
"How are you speaking to me? You weren’t... previously you could only inform me when a stat had increased or so....so how now?"
[I am the updated system. Although even I have no idea of how I became sentient, I can now speak, think and be your companion. I serve two purposes - to not let the host feel alone and to act as the primary archive for the host.]
"What do you mean by being my archive?"
[It means exactly what it is. From now on, unless you ask me not to, I shall be able to store every single information you see around you in my storage space. That doesn’t include the minor details in your surroundings but rather information that could be classified as knowledge, which in turn can be later accessed by you in case you cannot remember it.]
"That’s quite an useful function..." I spoke finally, my voice taking on a hint of surprise.
So I got my own Moogle huh?
Shaking my head, I got to reading the rest of the functions.
Even before I could even ask anything, the system started speaking while I kept on reading.

It’s not your own element but rather a blessing from the Goddess. She made sure that whenever I got back my sentience, I would definitely inform you about this "blessing".]
"Wait aren’t these abilities Henry’s? Isn’t it so convenient that he and I have the same abilities?"
[The Goddess has held off all classified information from this storage. But the best I could access is that none of those are Henry’s. In fact Henry was never an assassin nor did he have a light element. They were borrowed... though I have no idea how.]

I pressed my palms to my forehead, easing the rising pressure in my mind. What complicated shit was this?
Ignoring my own predicaments, the system resumed speaking.
[The System now has the capability to detect the amount of progress your body had made. That said, your stats have now been made more standard. Attached to the rank of your stats is your current progress. And just beside it, within the brackets is the maximum number at which that specific stat gets capped.]
[For example, if your strength becomes E-80, you are the peak of E tier of strength. Any increase after that shall reset the stat to D-0 with a cap of D-2000.]
"So I am only 7 points away from crossing my F-tier agility."
But then a thought struck me. "Did the update not complete efficiently?"
[What do you mean, host?]
I asked, "Why doesn’t the capacity E tier show any quantity like my other stats?"
[Capacity is different from other stats in general. Unlike strength, agility and the others which are progressive in nature, that is, they can increase gradually in quantity. Your capacity however is a lot different. ]
[Imagine an elevator from your previous world...]
"Wait, you know even about my previous world?" My heart felt like it had halted, an unknown tension rising within me.

Even though I didn’t have anything that impactful or anything that needs to be secretive, it was still highly uncomfortable knowing someone knows my entire life...no, the System doesn’t just know my life.
It has experienced it itself....Damn!

The System became a bit hesitant....as if considering the answer itself. As if this was also the first time it thought of this weird phenomena.
