Kaijin Fighter: So I Have to Make Monsters, So What?-Chapter 1287: A Cathartic Beating
Soon after giving his warning, Zhen Xing continued flying forward as if he didn't have an idea on what to do, other than to panic like a headless chicken.
[Springer?]
[On it.]
Before Zhen Xing could fly too far away though, Springerdermain threw one of his hands in Zhen Xing's direction in order to grab him and pull him back.
Once he had done so, Zhen Xing's fire wheels had stopped spinning and became inactive once more.
"Okay, why were you zooming around like a hummingbird after drinking a Fire Blossom?" Zhen Tai asked once his cousin was on the ground.
"I'm still not used to these wheels man," Zhen Xing admitted. "They make me want to keep flying around, even when it's unproductive."
"Treasure jitters, I get it."
"Wait, why the hell are you guys so casual about this?" Antonio asked the Zhen Clan scions. "Didn't you hear him about that there was an enemy Kaijin coming—"
[Where are you little fox?! I just wanted to play with you for a bit!]
^WHAT IN THE FUCK IS THAT THING?!^
Shambling from the direction Zhen Xing had just flown in from, came another of those body horror mutant Kaijin that looked like the cross between a moose, an ostrich and a raccoon.
In other words, a living hot mess.
The presence of this enemy Kaijin caused Nepeherage, Springerdermain, Screamira and Razorstella to momentarily perk up from their bouts of sadness.
At the sight of this wretched mess of a Kaijin, they all mentally debated with one another whether or not they wanted to get off their asses and fight him. The alternative was to continue sulking and let the mortals take care of this.
They could sense that this guy wasn't that powerful, maybe an Aether Master equivalent, and that the others could handle it themselves.
Maybe.
[Well, well, well! Ain't this a fine and happy coincidence!,] the body horror Kaijin seemed to snicker. [Looks like Stomper found himself some tasty new cores to devour alongside some new sla—hey, wait a minute.]
Before Stomper could run his mouth any further, he suddenly paused and directed his gaze towards the gazelle Bloodliner girl. Noticing this unwanted attention, the Bloodliner girl proceeded to hide behind Antonio.
^What the—?^
While Antonio appreciated the idea of being relied upon, he didn't enjoy being used as a makeshift meat shield.
[I recognize you,] Stomper said as he took a step forward and stretched his weirdly long neck in Antonio's direction. [You're that sister of those idiot brothers who died in that failed slave revolt a few years back. What were their names again? The Gattom brother? Eh, whatever.]
The Kaijin seemed to perk up at the mention of a slave revolt that happened prior to their arrival to this region, but they didn't say anything to interrupt or do anything to interfere just yet. After all, one can learn a lot more from letting an overconfident moron run their mouth.
For example, the name of a mysterious Bloodliner former slave woman that showed up out of nowhere .
[Now then, Maggie,] Stomper called out while licking their multiple mouths. [I suggest you stop hiding behind these outsiders and come along like a good girl. I promise I'll do all I can to make sure you won't get punished too harshly for running away.]
^Fuck off you sorry excuse for a layered roast,^ Maggie shouted back from behind Antonio. ^I made a promise to them, and I intend to keep it...wait, why am I swearing? Why did I admit that?^
^Oh, this is the first time you've been exposed to their brand of [Chaos],^ Antonio answered while gesturing to the sulking Kaijin. ^You get used to it, but get ready for cursing more than the average sailor and wanting to do things like eating a whole watermelon by yourself.^
^What the fuck?^
[Well, if you're not going to come peacefully then I'll guess I'll have to do so violently,] Stomper snickered as he hoped Maggie would resist his threats.[Or maybe I can convince these fine warriors to just hand you over? You have no affiliation with them and they look like the type to sell their grandmothers for a copper nugget!]
The moment the Kaijin heard this comment, they all immediately stopped sulking as the most subtle expression of rage appeared on their faces for a brief moment. However, they were able to hide these feelings fast enough so that Stomper was unable to to detect it.
[So what you say folks? If you hand her over to me, I'll ask the boss to fairly compensate you lot. Hell, he might even hire you on the spot,] Stomper shouted with strange glee.
[...]
[Well?]
The Kaijin were silent for a few moments, unmoving and unresponsive to this query from an unsympathetic Kaijin. After that aformentioned stint of time though, they gave their collective answer.
[How about...no.]
Now, this would've been the part where Stomper was going to say something stupid and get his ass kicked in. But the Kaijin had decided to move way before Stomper could even respond back.
What followed was a combination move that would put most fighting games to shame.
[Banshee's Wail!]
First, Screamira had suddenly teleported behind Stomper and proceeded to release a scream filled with cursed aether and death aether directly into Stomper's backside, sending him forward.
Next, Blazejudicator released a burst of rainbow-colored flames that knock Stomper backwards to where he was originally sent flying.
Once he had reached that spot, Springerdermain manifested a spectral hand that was large enough to grip Stomper like he was a child's doll and proceeded to swing him over his head in order to smash them into the ground.
Springerdermain did this a couple of times before he actively tossed Stomper into the air.
Once he was airborne, Nepeherage appeared directly above him in order to double hammer fist them into the ground.
Stomper didn't even have time to fully land or scream, for he had bounced once he impacted the ground.
Shortly after bouncing, Razorstella came down like a guillotine and ran the kaijin through with her giant sword-legs.
But she wasn't done yet.
[Normally, the director would want us to spare fuckers like you so that we can extract information, but he's not here right now. Also, you made the massive mistake of taunting us!] Razorstella shouted into Stomper's face.
[W-what the—]
[And now you get to die!]
Razorstella coated one of her claws in a thick layer of [Chaos] before plunging it deep into Stomper's chest, eliciting a one-man chorus of pain.
Well, one Kaijin.
As Razorstella continue to tear into Stomper's torso, she eventually reached the point where her claws directly tapped the kaijin's golden [Core].
[Disgusting!]
The moment Razorstella touched Stomper's [Core], she could immediately sense the presence of the other kaijin that had been forced to fuse together with Stomper.
She could feel all of their rage, all of their hate and all of their desire to return to being in charge of the body.
[Tsk! Pull!]
Not wanting to touch this [Core] any longer then they had to, Razorstella proceeded to toss the golden [Core] into the air.
Shortly after, Nepeherage proceeded to smash it into a pile of fragments.
And all of this violence occurred at a speed that Maggie could barely comprehend.
^What the fuck...^
Oddly enough, the Zhen Clan scions and Antonio were weirdly proud of this moment of extreme violence.
[Guh...gah...grk...]
Without his [Core], Stomper began to transform into a fuzzy form of energy that reminded the kaijin of television static.
[Weird...he's not breaking down into Chaos,] Nepeherage observed.
Shortly after, Stomper's transformed into balls of light that floated away from Razorstella in different directions.
These orbs then transformed into the silhouettes of a moose-type aether beast, an ostrich-type aether beast and a raccoon-type aether beast.
These silhouettes then solidified into proper aether beasts...that were horribly injured.
[What the fuck...]
But that wasn't the unsettling part.
These beasts, despite their varying builds and size, all had the exact same wounds in the exact same places.
Every single last one of them had massive holes in their torsos, with their hearts left exposed to the outside air.
The beasts tried as they might though to use their power to restore the missing parts of them, but alas, it didn't amount to much.
All three beasts then fell to the ground, not quite dead, but close enough that one could hear the carrion eaters gathering above.
Disturbed by the sight, the mortals present couldn't help but feel just a bit queasy.
"Is...is this what would happen if Zhen Liu's Kaijin lose their [Cores]?" Zhen Tai asked aloud for others to answer.
"I'm not sure," Zhen Xing answered. "I think...I think this is just unique to whatever type of Kaijin these guys are."
As the scions continued to watch, a single question came to mind.
"Why is this guy's method so... different?"
