Queen Kong
"You fucking bitch!" Kidanna roared as she whipped around and swung her club directly into her attacker's head. "I'll shatter you into a million pieces!"
BOOM!
Kidanna had made sure to infused her [Astra] with as much aether as she could before swinging it, in order to make her swing not only faster, but to inflict as much damage as she could at her elusive copy.
Evidently, this paid out in strides as she rendered her clone's head into dust.
The clone's body quickly followed suit as well, with it beginning to show various cracks before disappearing entirely.
"Fuck yeah!"
Evidently, Kidanna was so caught up in her own good mood, that she failed to notice that the black glass mirror that this copy came out of was now glowing in the background.
Now only that, but the mirror was now showing an ethereal body floating inside it.
___Meanwhile, at the exact same time_____
Gallery of Cloaked Mirrors
"Oh wow, that's a lot of clones," Zhen Liu commented as soon as he and his cousins entered the hallway that Porcelain Doll and Corpse Doll directed him towards.
"Yeah, no, they fucked up real hard," Zhen Xing added.
"I think it might've been our fault, actually," Zhen Tai noted as he smelled the scent of burning cloth in the air.
Shortly after Zhen Liu had defeated his copy, Zhen Tai and Zhen Xing managed to finally get the upperhand and overpower their own clones as well.
While they hadn't managed to breakthrough to Aether Grandmaster during this battle, Zhen Liu could sense that they just needed a nap and a quiet moment to cultivate in one of the aether arrays back home.
In other words, the power hierarchy at home was about to get more and more distorted.
Regardless of future issues, the Zhen Clan scions were now standing at a crossroads of sorts.
Zhen Liu had informed his cousins that allies of the Silver Jungle Dragon Shipping Company had arrived to try and swoop in at whatever prize lay dormant in this gallery of horrors. However, those aforementioned would-be vultures had failed at avoiding the danger and were now in the middle of fighting for their lives.
Which meant that an opportunity had presented itself.
"Should we try to help?" Zhen Xing asked. "I mean, they're technically our enemies right now but if we help them they might just leave us alone."
"Or they'll try to lure us into a trap and then stab us in the back," Zhen Tai pointed out. "Case and point, I think I've seen two of these guys on wanted posters."
"One," Zhen Liu said without missing a beat."You've seen one being on a wanted poster."
"What? There's clearly three peo-"
Schink!
"Oh!"
"Oh that's what he meant."
^Lupao, no!^
While the Zhen Clan scions were watching from the sidelines, one of the clones finally got the better of their original and dealt a devastating blow in the form of a glass hand piercing through the bottom of a man's jaw and out the top of his head.
Zhen Liu recognized the man as being Lupao, the only anima wielder in the group.
'Well, that's disgusting...wait a minute, why am I feeling a weird surge of energy in the area now?"
...
'Did you guys feel that too?'
[We did, milord,] Nepeherage answered for the other kaijin. [It happened right when that Anima Wielder died.]
'Thought that was the case...I hate doing this while I'm still disconnected like this but—'
[Say no more, Producer,] Screamira answered. [We'll go and investigate.]
'Thanks. Hopefully this isn't a sign of what's to come...oh, who am I kidding?'
_______Now back to Queen Kong__________
"Finally!"
Now that she had a proper victory under her belt, Kidanna confidence in destroying her other two clones skyrocketed to the top.
As such, she turned her focus on the red mirror clone of herself, as she felt that they were the weaker one between itself and the blue mirror version.
Especially after she had slammed her head into its chin and sent it packing earlier.
In fact, she could literally see that the red mirror version of herself was in the process of picking itself back up, with noticeable cracks up and down its jaw line.
In other words, there was a weak point.
[Jungle Hammerfist!]
Using aether to propel herself forward and empower her fists in the process, Kidanna dismissed her [Astra] in order to swing her joined hands downwards and smash it into the top of the red mirror version's head. The sound of cracking glass filled the air as the cracks from the initial jaw strike joined the ones that had just formed.
And in the background, the red mirror began to glow as well.
Although, it looked a bit dimmer in comparison to the mirror made of black glass.
__Meanwhile, Garden of Reflective Orchids_
[Gear Glamour: Grand Drill]
[Dream Glamour: Nightmare Ram]
WHIRRRR
MAAAAH!
After several exchanges with their respective opponents, Bellona and Alicia had finally reached the point where they believed that they could end this fight in a single blow.
As such, the two young warriors women began to pump as much [Chaos] as they could in their respective [Taboo] before unleashing their most powerful moves.
Alicia's attack caused her [Lantern of Progress] to transform into a drilling lance which she used to pierce a bloody hole through the Burning Peony Brother and annihilate the man's chest.
At the same time, Bellona's golden chakrams transformed into a pair of portals that summoned a pair of monstrous arms that crushed the Freezing Peony Brother into a bloody pulp.
With their opponents defeated, Bellona and Alicia both let out massive sighs of relief.
"Holy shit, that was tiring," Alicia complained while leaning against her [Taboo]. "Why the fuck was that guy so fucking hard to kill?"
"I heard somewhere that when someone gets close to death, they get this resurgence of energy. Maybe that's what happened?"
"Maybe...hey, do you sense that?"
"The weird surge of energy? Yes."
"Where is it coming from?"
_______Back to Queen Kong again________
"One more!"
Kidanna only had one opponent left and that was the blue mirror version of herself, the one that made her feel the uneasiest of the lot.
She had managed to exchange multiple blows in her favor while fighting them before, but she had this distinct feeling that this version of herself was holding back the whole time.
An observation that turned out to be quite true.
The moment she turned her attention towards the blue mirror version, this more war-like version had already moved in to attack.
THWACK!
"BAH!"
Fast enough to land a hit.
"You bitch!"
But enough to make it hurt.
"Game on!"
__Meanwhile, in the Hall of Glass Warriors__
Clang!
"Fuck!"
"Well aren't you a tricky motherfucker?!"
When Lythero finally got the drop on Obara, he figured he could end this fight with a quick decapitation strike.
Unfortunately, that didn't happen.
Just Lythero was about to decapitate the relative of his lifelong nemesis, his [Trickster's Pack Kukri] got blocked by Obara's [Astra].
To be more precise, as Lythero swung his kukri down at Obara's neck, Obara's [Astra] suddenly began to bend in a weird, almost organic manner that allowed it to wrap around his neck and protect it from Lythero's attack.
The resulting recoil, unfortunately, left Lythero opened to attack.
"My turn!"
[Furious—!]
Swish!
At least, that's what Obara thought.
"What?!"

The moment he swung his [Astra] around in an attempt of cracking open Lythero's Skull, Lythero suddenly disappeared like a mirage.
"Where the hell did he-?!"
Schklivk!
"Hurk!"
"Now you die."
The moment Obara returned his attention towards the illusionary shadows of Lythero, realizing that he had somehow switched places with the hem, it was too late.
Lythero had opted to transform his [Astra] so it was like Master Boar's charging blade and had jammed it firmly into Obara's abdomen.
Normally, such an attack would be deflected by the [Regalia].
But because Obara's heart was so thoroughly rattled by all that had occurred in the last few moments of conflict that there were now small, barely noticeable chinks in his defenses.
Not enough that a normal punch could damage, but just enough that a Gold tiered aether treasure would be more than able to pierce right through and start impaling important organs and bones.
"Hack!"
Needless to say the force of the blow did wonders in making Obara cough up great mouthfuls of blood.
Surprisingly though, he didn't die.
