Jujutsu Kaisen: Tragedy Life Simulator-Chapter 94 - What They Each Knew [bonus]
[Yaga drew in a breath, shoved his worry for you aside, and swept a hard gaze across the assembled sorcerers.]
["All Grade 2 and above, report to the briefing room immediately! Suguru Geto has declared war. We begin tactical planning for the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons now!"]
[The war room at Tokyo Jujutsu High felt suffocating. The air itself seemed too heavy to breathe.]
[Kiyotaka Ijichi stood by the whiteboard, face pale, giving a rushed intelligence summary from whatever scraps had been gathered so far.]
["Regarding Suguru Geto... he established a religious group and used his followers to gather cursed spirits."]
[Ijichi pushed his glasses up with fingers that weren’t entirely steady.]
["Combined with the cursed spirits he already possessed, his claim of more than two thousand may not be exaggerated."]
[From the side, Yaga added,]
["That said, most of them should be small fry. Grade 2 or lower, according to the intelligence we’ve got. And the number of sorcerers under his command shouldn’t exceed fifty."]
[Gojo leaned against the doorframe with his arms crossed. The white bandage over his face hid his expression, but not the mood in the room.]
["That makes it worse, not better. He wouldn’t start a war he knew he’d lose, especially not after Touma did that to him and he still chose to go through with it."]
[The room fell completely silent.]
[He was right. Suguru Geto, former Special Grade, wasn’t stupid. If he was willing to launch this after taking a loss like that, then the two thousand cursed spirits were only the surface of it. A distraction. Smoke hiding the real play.
And Gojo didn’t need Touma Hayase to spell out what that real play was.
It was Rika.
The Special Grade Vengeful Cursed Spirit bound to Yuta Okkotsu.]
["Damn it!"]
[Yaga slammed his fist onto the table hard enough to make the whole thing jump. He rose to his feet, sunglasses hiding his eyes but not the iron in his voice.]
["Contact every graduate. Reach out to the Big Three Sorcerer Families."]
[Each word landed hard.]
["This is total war. This time, we exorcise the curse called Suguru Geto, once and for all!"]
[At almost the exact same moment Yaga gave the order for full mobilization, Gojo’s gaze drifted past the room and down the corridor toward your office door.]
[He knew you too well.]
[You understood better than anyone that Geto’s real target was Yuta, here at the school. But the second those two thousand cursed spirits were released into Shinjuku and Kyoto, there was no way you would stay safely behind the school’s barriers and wait.
Because somewhere inside that brutal moral code of yours, failing to kill Geto today was your mistake.
And every civilian torn apart by those two thousand cursed spirits would become a sin you blamed on yourself.
You would hurl yourself straight at the bloodiest front line without hesitating. You’d turn into the nastiest meat grinder on the battlefield and carry every ounce of guilt on a body that hadn’t even started putting itself back together.]
---
[Far from the school, inside a hidden safehouse, the air felt tense enough to crack.]
[Under dim lights, Suguru Geto sat slumped on a sofa. His robes were soaked in blood. Several low-grade cursed spirits with healing abilities writhed over the stump of his left arm, trying to close the wound where it had been severed clean off at the shoulder.]
[The pain had drained all the color from his face. But behind his narrow eyes, something feverish and ugly still burned.]
[Nearby, the Hasaba twins clung to each other and cried in silence. Manami Suda, Toshihisa Negi, and the rest of his so-called family stared at the scene with gray, shaken faces.] 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
[Larue’s body had been brought back and laid out on the floor. Headless.]
[Seeing the man they had always treated like a pillar, something solid and unbreakable, cut down like that, and seeing Geto himself reduced to this, Manami Suda finally cracked.]
["Lord Geto..."]
[She couldn’t hide the fear in her voice. Or the despair.]
["Larue is dead, and your arm... that man, Touma Hayase, he’s a monster. I don’t even know how to make sense of him."]
[She drew in a shaky breath and forced herself to keep going.]
["We’ve already lost too much. Our strength is crippled. Maybe... maybe we should call off the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons for now. Pull back. Wait until you’ve recovered, and then..."]
["No."]
[Geto didn’t even look at her. His voice was calm in a way that made it worse, flat and obsessive and a little sick. It cut her off clean.]
[He rose slowly and brushed his remaining hand over Larue’s cold corpse. When he finally lifted his head, the bloodless face looking back at them wore a cruel smile fit for a curse user.]
["It’s because Larue died. Because I paid for this with an arm. That’s why I can finally see the opening clearly."]
[His gaze shifted toward the window, toward Tokyo Jujutsu High somewhere far in the distance. Something venomous flashed in his eyes.]
["Touma Hayase is a monster, yes. I’ll give him that. But to me, he’s also an idiot shackled to his own humanity. A man like that, after failing to kill me today? He’ll treat every civilian death caused by those two thousand cursed spirits as his own sin."]
[Geto’s breathing turned ragged. The smile on his face stretched wider and started tipping into madness.]
["He’ll leave Yuta Okkotsu behind. He’ll run straight to the front lines in Shinjuku or Kyoto and butcher cursed spirits to make up for his precious guilt. And the moment both he and Gojo are dragged away from the school... the barrier around that place turns into an empty shell. Mine for the taking."]
[His eyes lowered to the arm he’d lost. The hunger burning there was absolute.]
["Once I have the Queen and her endless cursed energy... who cares about one arm? I’ll grind every last monkey in this world into dust."]
