Journey to the West: Starting by taking Sun Wukong as my disciple!-Chapter 780 - 779 Baihua Xiu
Upon hearing Chen Nuo say this, Xuanzang seemed to have found resonance as he nodded along and said, "Yes, yes, yes, I feel the same way. This demon is truly cunning, coming up with such a method to tempt us."
As they were conversing, a person suddenly entered from outside. Chen Nuo fixed his gaze and saw that it was a fox spirit, which had transformed into the figure of a woman and was lunging toward him, "Elder Tang, come with me. I will take you away from here now. As long as you promise to be with me after we escape, I’ll take you away right this moment."
The fox spirit was thinking about eating Tang Monk’s flesh while caressing Chen Nuo’s face, unaware that the Tang Monk was supposed to be this handsome. Once she got him out, she planned to live with him for a while, then get bored of him and eat his flesh afterward.
The fox spirit had her plans, but Chen Nuo felt goosebumps all over from her gentle touch. What was wrong with everyone? Didn’t they know monks were bald? His hair was long, and yet these people still mistook him for a demon, as if they were blind or something.
"Sorry, you have the wrong person," Chen Nuo said. "I’m not a monk, nor am I the ’Elder Tang’ you speak of. The Elder Tang is over there."
The fox spirit followed Chen Nuo’s direction and looked behind him, first seeing a shiny bald head, and then the face of Xuanzang, disappointment showing on her face, "Are you that monk?"
"Indeed, this humble monk is he," Xuanzang said.
It could be said that Xuanzang’s face was quite handsome and delicate, too, but with Chen Nuo eclipsing him, Xuanzang’s allure diminished instantly, which was quite understandable given the fox spirit’s disappointment.
"So, are you two willing to come with me? If you do, I will let you leave?" asked the fox spirit, eyeing both Xuanzang and Chen Nuo. One was food and the other a handsome man; she didn’t want to give up either. Adults don’t make choices, she wanted both.
"Ah?" Xuanzang was startled and blushed instantly, waving his hands in refusal, "No, no, no, I must wait for my disciples to come rescue me. I will not go with you!"
Chen Nuo didn’t even glance at the fox spirit; he was still waiting for Baihua Xiu. Why hadn’t she arrived yet? If she didn’t show up soon, the Six-Eared Macaque would come attacking.
"Disciples?" the fox spirit chuckled lowly, "The disciple you’re talking about, isn’t that the monkey fighting the demon king outside? He won’t be able to defeat the demon king."
These words weren’t wrong; outside there weren’t only the Kuimu Wolf, but many other lesser demons. The Six-Eared Macaque, alone against so many, unless he was far more powerful than the Kuimu Wolf, wouldn’t stand a chance with the wolf there, plus all those lesser demons.
Hearing this, Xuanzang’s face paled a bit, but he was absolutely unwilling to leave with this demon and shook his head, "Even so, I will not go with you!"
"How boring," the fox spirit rolled her eyes at Xuanzang, then turned her smiling gaze to Chen Nuo, "Then how about you, young master? Are you willing to leave with me? I promise to treat you well, hmm?"
Fox spirits exude a distinct scent that Chen Nuo found utterly unbearable. Growing impatient waiting for Baihua Xiu to appear, he gave the fox spirit no pleasant looks. "Scram, stay away from me."
The fox spirit whined, "You are so fierce, young master, but I like it. Give in to me; I shall take you away right now and ensure no harm comes to you."
"Let go of the young master," a voice called from behind the fox spirit. "The king is outside fighting, yet here you are trying to seduce someone else, what are you planning?"
Finally, Chen Nuo turned towards the voice and saw a woman of roughly thirty years old. Despite her stern expression, it did not overshadow her regal and graceful demeanor, clearly someone sent by the royalty, adorned with a variety of golden and jade hairpins. As she slowly approached, Chen Nuo recognized the person he had been waiting for, the Third Princess of Treasure Elephant Kingdom, Baihua Xiu. Baihua Xiu, looking at the fox spirit, said, "Though I have not reported your many deeds to the king before, it was because I couldn’t be bothered to quibble with you. This Tang Monk is of special importance to the king. Stop harboring any delusions about causing further trouble or, once the king returns, I shall surely report this to him." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
The fox spirit, finding no amusement, rolled her eyes at Baihua Xiu and threw a seductive glance at Chen Nuo before slowly departing.
Once the fox spirit had left, the stern expression on Baihua Xiu’s face gradually softened, and with a smile, she addressed Chen Nuo and Xuanzang, "Elder, young master, do not fear, I am not a demon."
Xuanzang was skeptical, could there really be someone who was not a demon inside this cave abode?
"I truly am not a demon," Baihua Xiu, seeing the disbelief in Xuanzang’s eyes, explained further: "If you go a hundred miles forward from here, there lies Treasure Elephant Kingdom. I am its Third Princess. One day while out hunting, I was suddenly kidnapped by this demon, and it has been thirteen years since then."
Indeed, Baihua Xiu’s demeanor did not seem very demon-like; demons generally exude a manipulative air filled with intent, which she did not possess. Thus, Xuanzang was inclined to believe her words, although he remained unsure of her true intentions.
"Here is the situation, if I can help you both escape, could you deliver a letter to my emperor father? He has not seen me for thirteen years, and I am sure he misses me terribly," Baihua Xiu said.
Xuanzang hesitated, "Princess, after all this time, it’s possible that the reign has changed over there. Moreover, after so many years, they might have forgotten about you. Even if I carry your letter, the people there may not believe me."
Baihua Xiu took a hairpin out of her purse and said, "This hairpin was with me when I was captured. As long as you give this to my emperor father and empress mother, they will surely recognize it."
Xuanzang was still reluctant to accept it; thirteen years was a very long time. Even a child would be thirteen years old by now, approaching the age of maturity. How could he dare to believe that the king and queen of Treasure Elephant Kingdom would surely trust him?
"I understand your concerns, Elder. Rest assured, my father has no sons, only three daughters. Since I disappeared, they have been deeply concerned. If you just hand this hairpin to my emperor father, he will definitely believe it. I beg you, Elder," Baihua Xiu pleaded, about to kneel before Xuanzang.
