Journey to the West: Starting by taking Sun Wukong as my disciple!-Chapter 433 It’s not easy to come out, I still have to go to the underworld
"I always talk like this," Nezha shrugged, hardening his tone a bit, but said nothing else.
"Did you call me over for the sake of these two, mother and daughter?"
"Yeah, because of them," Chen Nuo nodded. "I want you to take me to the underworld; I have some business to attend to there."
"Ah? Where to go?" Nezha seemed somewhat reluctant, but since it was Chen Nuo who suggested it, he didn’t want to refuse either. After some thought, he stretched out two fingers towards Chen Nuo, "Two skirts."
Ever since giving Nezha a skirt last time, he really started to push his luck, asking for skirts whenever there was a favor to ask. If only I had known, I wouldn’t have given him any.
"Hold on a second."
This time Chen Nuo just happened to think of asking Nezha for help, without considering whether he had any skirts to spare. So, he rummaged through his space pouch and eventually pulled out two pictures, which surprisingly turned out to be promotional images for bubble tea.
"What’s up?" Nezha looked at the two promotional images in Chen Nuo’s hands. "Ah, you’re not just giving me bubble tea, are you? I could just wait in line and buy it myself; I don’t want any bubble tea."
"I just happened to come across the bubble tea pictures and took them out on a whim. Look at you," Chen Nuo mockingly scolded, "making so many conditions for helping out. Next time you come for a meal, I’ll ask for three quarters of your mana."
"What?!" Nezha was utterly shocked. "Shopkeeper Chen, you can’t do this; it’s not the same thing!"
"Just kidding." Chen Nuo smiled, actually stalling for time because he really might not have any more sample skirts in his pouch.
Nezha breathed a sigh of relief, "That’s what I thought; Shopkeeper Chen, you can’t be so heartless."
Although he had no sample pieces, Chen Nuo knew that modern fashion was abundant, and with a little imagination, he could easily sketch a design.
Chen Nuo wasn’t very anxious about this. If it really came down to it, he still had his skills; he was sure he could satisfy Nezha.
"I don’t know how to get to the underworld; just lead me there and introduce me," Chen Nuo said.
"That’s easy enough. Just follow me, and I’ll take you there right now," Nezha said, getting up to go.
Chen Nuo hesitated as he looked at the young child. The kid was still so young, and it didn’t seem right to take him to the netherworld. Yet, if left in the house, should that evil ghost come searching and harm the child...
After some thought, Chen Nuo decided to first take the child to the new house he had just purchased.
Using a magic artifact, Chen Nuo created a protective barrier around the young child and, considerately, made sure he had enough food and water.
His space pouch was quite large, bigger even than the storeroom at Chaos Residence. He usually kept anything that wasn’t too large in the pouch for convenience.
After settling the young child, Chen Nuo and Nezha proceeded to the underworld with the woman’s soul.
The underworld was indeed as its name suggested, grim and somber everywhere, but it was this very atmosphere that kept evil ghosts in check.
Chen Nuo was no stranger to grand spectacles and remained unfazed, but the woman was terrified and couldn’t even walk. Chen Nuo, left with no choice, found a silken pouch to store souls and placed the woman’s soul inside.
Upon reaching the gates of the underworld, Chen Nuo and Nezha found their path barred.
"Who goes there, daring to intrude upon the gates of the underworld?"
Nezha crossed his arms and huffed, "Is Third Prince Nezha someone you can stop?"
The gatekeeping ghosts, sensing that Nezha’s aura was not false, paused. In their memories, Nezha was male, but this individual looked every bit a female. Could it be some immortals were impersonating Nezha?
As they pondered, they couldn’t help but ask, "Isn’t Prince Nezha a man?"
"What, I don’t look like it?" Nezha stood hands on hips in front of the two gatekeeping ghosts.
The two ghosts looked at each other and then said, "But you really don’t look like a man."
Chen Nuo almost couldn’t help but laugh out loud, but fortunately, he had high self-control and immediately covered up his urge to laugh with a cough when he couldn’t hold it back any longer.
Nezha turned his head to glance at Chen Nuo, a bit angry, and then made his three heads and six arms and Wind Fire Wheels appear, upon which the gatekeeping ghost allowed them to pass.
After they entered, as the ghost was about to close the door, Nezha turned back and glared fiercely at the ghost, "Such a snob."
"Well, you’re wearing a woman’s dress; how can you be mad at others for mistaking you for a woman?" Chen Nuo said.
"I am so beautiful that it transcends gender," Nezha retorted, reverting to his previous haughty demeanor.
Fine, beautiful beyond gender...
Chen Nuo didn’t bother to argue over such matters, as getting their business done was far more important at this moment.
Upon entering the gate, they found purgatories punishing the evil ghosts on both sides, with only a narrow path in the middle leading forward.
This live scene was somewhat unbearable for Chen Nuo to witness, as he had been staying at Chaos Residence since arriving in this world and had never encountered such a sight.
Though it was difficult to watch, he reminded himself that these ghosts were being punished for the evil deeds they had committed in life and were now repaying the wickedness they had done.
Passing through the lengthy path, they came to another grand hall, the domain of the Judge, where the goodness or wickedness of a soul was determined. Chen Nuo and Nezha entered the grand hall directly.
With Nezha’s status, no ghost stopped them, and the two went straight to the Judge.
"Busy, are we?" Nezha asked the Judge who was currently busy reviewing documents with a pen.
This place was, after all, the Judge’s domain, and even Nezha’s arrival had been announced by a ghost.
The Judge looked carefully at Nezha and indeed, it was him; then the Judge rose to greet him, "Oh, Prince Nezha, what brings you to my humble abode?"
"Nothing much, just that my friend here seeks your assistance in a small matter," Nezha replied.
Actually, the Judge had noticed Chen Nuo the moment they arrived; Chen Nuo certainly carried himself with an air of distinction.
The Judge realized this person wasn’t under his jurisdiction, but since he had never seen him before, he wondered if this might be an Immortal Official who had newly attained immortality.
"What matter is it that even Prince Nezha himself has come in person to address?" the Judge inquired.
"Hello, I am Chen Nuo, Shopkeeper of Chaos Residence." Since they were there to ask for a favor, naturally, Chen Nuo needed to display a courteous attitude, and after introducing himself, he gave the Judge a bow.
"Chaos Residence?" The Judge was momentarily stunned; nowadays there was hardly anyone in heaven or on earth who did not know of Chaos Residence.
This young man with extraordinary bearing was the Shopkeeper of Chaos Residence? 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
It was well-known that the Shopkeeper of Chaos Residence had never left his establishment, except for those who visited his shop, no one had ever seen the Shopkeeper outside of Chaos Residence.
He never expected that while he was dutifully at work, the Shopkeeper of Chaos Residence would come to him.
"Ah, I’ve long heard of the famed Chaos Residence, but I have been too occupied with my duties to visit. To think I would meet the Shopkeeper of Chaos Residence here, a legend in his own right. Shopkeeper Chen truly lives up to the tales: distinguished and of an ethereal quality," the Judge exclaimed.
Chen Nuo smiled at the Judge and then stated the reason for his visit.
"I encountered the soul of a woman in the Human World. She said she made a deal with an evil ghost, offering her own soul in exchange for avoiding the pursuit of Black and White Impermanence, as she wished to watch her daughter grow up."
