Journey to the West: Starting by taking Sun Wukong as my disciple!-Chapter 409: The Lunatic, Jin Zha
Because of the ability to teleport, climbing the mountain wasn’t a troublesome matter, but searching for Maifan Stone really wasn’t an easy task; could it be necessary to dig up the entire mountain to find it?
Chen Nuo found himself in a dilemma.
"The physical strength of young people is truly admirable. Just now, I saw you at the foot of the mountain, and in the blink of an eye, you’ve made it to halfway up the mountain."
As Chen Nuo was about to speak with the system, a voice from behind made him pause. He turned around and saw a man in yellow clothes. His entire body was golden, even his hair was golden, standing amidst the lush greens of the mountainside was not only conspicuous but downright dazzling.
"Who are you?"
Chen Nuo had just begun to speak when the system answered for him, "This is Jin Zha, the eldest son of Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King Li and the brother of Nezha."
Jin Zha, true to his name, was resplendent in gold, as if afraid that others wouldn’t recognize him.
"Hello, I came here to look for a friend," Jin Zha said.
"I saw you at the base of the mountain just now, talking to yourself; I couldn’t tell whom you were speaking with. But in the blink of an eye, you made it halfway up the mountain. You young people are really fast."
Really fast...
Chen Nuo felt somewhat annoyed, even though the comment was supposed to be complimentary.
"Don’t worry, your abilities and cultivation level are sealed by the system. Even Tathagata will only think you’re an ordinary person," the system said.
Jin Zha looked at the man before him, dressed in a long shirt and pants, which were different from the outerwear he had seen before.
Despite its oddness, it didn’t look bad at all, quite the contrary, it looked quite nice, especially since the man had a good figure. It wasn’t that the clothes were nice, but the person wearing them made them look good.
Because Chen Nuo was in a hurry to find Maifan Stone, he had used rapid movement, not teleportation, so Jin Zha was able to see him move from the foot of the mountain to the mountainside.
He couldn’t discern anything unusual about this man, couldn’t see his cultivation or anything, just wondered how such an ordinary person could move so quickly. Could it be a natural talent?
"Your clothes look very unique. Did you make them yourself?"
Chen Nuo looked down at his own hoodie and trousers. When he left home, he thought since he was going out, he would not wear ancient clothes.
No hoodie and trousers could be more comfortable, and who would have thought to encounter Immortals on a desolate mountain?
"Ah, yes, I made them myself," Chen Nuo replied.
"The style of your clothes is really nice. Can you make one for me as well? I’ll pay you in gold," Jin Zha said while touching the fabric of the clothes. It seemed he genuinely liked the outfit.
True to form, Jin Zha leads with gold where others offer silver taels.
"Sorry, but I have other things to do, so I must be going."
Although Jin Zha and Nezha were brothers, Nezha had never introduced his older sibling to Chen Nuo before.
It was normal for Jin Zha not to recognize him, and Chen Nuo felt relieved that Jin Zha didn’t know him; if they had known each other, there would be no escaping a long chat.
"Don’t go," Jin Zha caught hold of Chen Nuo. "I’m offering you gold, yet you still want to leave? Don’t you need money?"
"I don’t need money, thank you. Please let me go," Chen Nuo pushed Jin Zha’s hand away from his clothes. "I really am quite busy with other matters."
"How can you, a mere mortal, act like this?" Jin Zha was displeased.
I’m a fake mortal and you’re a real annoyance, Chen Nuo complained internally; he truly wanted to leave.
"I’ll tell you a secret." Jin Zha said with a mysterious face, "Actually, I am an immortal."
"Oh, what of it?" I already knew that.
"How can you not be surprised at all?" Jin Zha exclaimed in surprise instead.
I wouldn’t kick someone who claims to be an immortal during a mountain climb as a lunatic even if I didn’t know who Jin Zha was.
"Really? You’re an immortal, huh? I’m so surprised," Chen Nuo said dryly, "Is this the reaction you wanted? Can I go now?"
"No way, that’s too perfunctory," Jin Zha gripped Chen Nuo’s clothes, "I’m not trying to annoy you on purpose, I really like your clothes. Even if you won’t make one for me, just give me the one you’re wearing. I’ll pay you in gold, lots and lots of gold, how about it?"
What’s with these two brothers and their obsession with clothes? One’s a cross-dressing boss and the other a maniac who’s actually into the smell of worn clothes.
"What am I supposed to do if you take my clothes?"
"I’ll exchange them for mine," said Jin Zha, taking off his outer garment.
"Feel the material of this garment. It’s only something immortals in heaven can wear, and this coat is quite large. You can take it home, alter it, and make it into the same style that you’re wearing right now."
I have the same material at home, and it’s specifically for cooking wear.
As the shopkeeper of Chaos Residence, these are the kinds of clothes I’d press to the bottom of a chest and never want to wear. Yet Jin Zha is acting like he’s doing me a favor offering it, which really irks Chen Nuo.
"Why are you so annoying?" Chen Nuo said impatiently.
"Am I really that annoying?" Jin Zha put on a hurt face.
That look might work on women, but I’m a man. Not only do I feel no sympathy for Jin Zha’s expression, but I also find it somewhat disgusting.
"Goodbye." Chen Nuo pushed Jin Zha away and prepared to leave.
After being pushed, Jin Zha reverted to his previous demeanor. He probably got treated like this all the time and wasn’t angry. Instead, once Chen Nuo walked away, he cheerfully followed.
"Young man, you must have come to this mountain for a reason. How come you’re leaving without doing anything?"
Obviously, it’s because of an annoying pest like this, Chen Nuo thought cruelly but still managed to save Jin Zha some face on the surface.
Ignoring him completely, I continued walking forward. Although I’d much rather sprint or teleport away, doing so might pique Jin Zha’s curiosity even more, so Chen Nuo opted to walk away.
"I saw how fast you were when you arrived. It must be something very urgent. Just tell me, tell me, and I might be able to help you out."
"No need, thank you," Chen Nuo kept walking and responding while furiously tapping the system in his mind.
"What’s going on? Don’t you have some way to shut this person up? Even if it costs a hundred thousand Merit Points, that’s fine by me."
"Sorry, there’s no way. I could have helped if he were a mortal, but he’s an immortal. That’s beyond me."
Chen Nuo sighed deeply. Thus, I have no choice but to shake off this person with my own two feet.
"Hey, don’t think of me as annoying. I can truly help you. Look."
As he spoke, Jin Zha used Teleportation to jump in front of Chen Nuo, "I wasn’t lying. I really am an immortal."
"You!" Chen Nuo was so angry he wanted to curse, but he didn’t want to lose his temper with someone he’d only just met, forcing himself to suppress his anger.
"Come on, just tell me," Jin Zha persisted. "I have friends here, and whatever you want from this mountain, my friends can make it happen." 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
"Your friend is that amazing? Could he perhaps be the Jade Emperor?" Chen Nuo said with an angry laugh.
"More or less," Jin Zha replied with a smile.
