The knock on our door came not that long after Hecate settled down, the purple haired Noblewoman finally returning to her usually stoic self as she accepted a sip of Anwen’s wine and changed into something far more comfortable...

That being a very loose, very large robe that made her look like a child who had snuck into her Mother’s wardrobe to play dress up, which honestly made her look quite cute as she just curled up on the chair and sipped her wine.

She looked rather comfortable too, but most of us were incapable of really basking in her adorableness since we were too busy thinking, though when that knock came we all shared a look before I got up and answered the door.

A maid was standing outside with a somewhat concerned look on her face, and the moment she saw me she said "The Headmistress requests all of the Academy’s presence within ten minutes at the main courtyard. It isn’t mandatory, but... I would recommend you go."

I nodded and watched as she quickly made her way to the next door, and after a moment she began to repeat that to the student who answered, making it rather clear that they were in a hurry to get everyone there to listen.

Glancing back at everyone else, I was soon joined by them as we began to head to the main courtyard, where we found practically all of the Academy waiting around, staring at the currently empty podium curiously.

Some were stone faced and seemed to know what was going on, others were just milling about thinking this might be some stupid announcement; when more and more students came in, that sentiment only grew, though the moment the Professors came by with heavy expressions things began to shift ever so slightly.

We kept quiet as we waited, and before we knew it the Headmistress was coming onto the stage, her ornate robes and giant staff really sealing the whole Academy Headmistress vibe she wanted to go for.

Long grey hair pulled into a thick braid, golden and purple robes that screamed wealth, striking purple eyes that actually crackled every few moments, and a black wood staff that was taller than me made the Headmistress rather imposing even from afar, though when she tapped a finger to her throat and spoke that was further reinforced.

"Silence, everyone."

Her voice echoed throughout the courtyard, and I - as well as most of the students - were a bit shocked at how ’loud’ yet stable her voice was, like she was speaking normally instead of casting her voice across a large area.

"From this moment forwards everyone inside of Mythia is to remain within Mythia. No one can leave, no one can come in. A nefarious Cult has occupied various locations within the Fingers of Novara De Leone, and they have already kidnapped a fellow student.

We are working hard to not only locate that student but also to save them from their plight, but so as to not make things more difficult I am ordering you all to remain within the city no matter what. For the time being all Gates are to be sealed, and any attempt to leave this city will be met with immediate expulsion if you remain determined to break rules.

This Cult has managed to summon a Demon into the world, and anyone idiotic enough to attempt to leave from this point forwards is responsible for themselves. You are all grown enough and smart enough to understand that you are not anywhere near capable enough to handle a Cult, let alone a Demon. If you decide to test your luck anyways, we will not help you.

It is a harsh and difficult decision I have made, but it is one I shall stand by. Remain within the walls. Trust in the Sinner and the guards, trust in your Professors, and trust in one another. If we all remain diligent, if we all act accordingly, then this Cult cannot enter Mythia, and they certainly cannot enter our Academy."

Sweeping those purple eyes over everyone, the Headmistress let her cold voice echo a few times before she continued, gesturing towards the gathered Professors with her staff and saying "Tomorrow morn your Professors shall relay further instruction to you. We are here to help you, to nurture you, but we cannot control you. This is ultimately still your decision, and we can only give you the tools to make the smartest one. I hope you all make the smart decision."

With that she looked over everyone one more time before turning and departing, leaving her speech to be rather short and sweet and sending a wave of confusion, fear and uncertainty through everyone, though after a moment the overwhelming consensus was to turn towards the lingering Professors.

Most of them were already becoming the centers of attention of the nearby students, so more just began to approach in hopes of learning more or asking more questions; for me, I just beckoned for my friends to follow as we removed ourselves from the noisy crowd, stepping back into the now quiet halls.

"Well, with no access to the Gates and the city being on lockdown, I suppose there isn’t much ’fun’ for us to have..."

Anwen grinned at me because of that while the others just nodded, though Lu’Shaki said "We can still train, still improve. It won’t be as good as real experience, but it’s certainly better than just hiding away." and had us all in agreement on that.

"Besides, now we have more reason to start talking to more of our classmates~! Like there’s this hunk in our Theory class, Natalie, who apparently has a fat~ fucking cock and shoots some of the thickest~ loads~!"

I rolled my eyes but felt somewhat better since Anwen seemed to be so ’unbothered’ by this development, though considering it was Anwen it only made sense that she was so... ’her’, especially when there was little we could actually do in the here and now.

We would just need to... wait; there was nothing we could do to help besides remain in the Academy and stay out of the way, and honestly... that was more than alright with me, especially since this was a Cult.

They were always crazy and unpredictable enemies to fight even in the game, and now that it was real life I cannot even begin to imagine the weird things they would try to do... so I didn’t even bother, instead just wondering what I should try to do to improve my archery and how viable that was going to be.
