Invisible Security Guard-Chapter 1996 - 2015: Old Friends
It’s quite normal for a flock of startled birds to take to the sky in the forest, so none of the people, including Yusuf Zuck, paid much attention.
However, among this flock of startled birds, one bird’s eyes seemed to possess infinite wisdom.
It broke away from the flock, changed direction, and then skimmed low. Moments later, it darted into a crevice on the west side of the canyon, traversed the crevice for a while, and then emerged from the other side, continuing to fly.
After about a cup of tea’s time, the bird flew into another canyon and along the canyon into a natural crevice of the sky-lined cliff!
"Phew~" As it entered the cave, the scenery instantly changed – lush mountains and clear waters, birds singing and flowers blooming, along with rows of rooftops.
The bird flew directly into a remote thatched hut, where a man sat, his face covered with black cloth, dressed in black, with only his eyes exposed.
The bird landed in the man’s hand, and the man began to stare into the bird’s eyes.
As they gazed at each other, the bird’s eyes suddenly turned into abyssal depths, as if the black-robed man was seeing into the very soul of the bird!
"Wow~" Scene after scene appeared in the black-robed man’s mind like images, complete with sounds, revealing what everyone was doing at that moment, all perceived by the man.
Moments later, the man fixed his gaze on the scholar sipping black tea, his eyebrows twitching all over, then tossed the bird aside and quickly began divining!
He used bamboo sticks and a pack of yellow paper. He bit his finger and rapidly drew on the yellow paper!
Moments later, a lifelike figure appeared on the yellow paper—the very scholar he had seen!
He pinned a bamboo stick onto the yellow paper and immediately performed a hand sign, continuously casting spells on the paper.
Soon after, the yellow paper itself started to lift off, transforming into the shape of that scholar; then he pulled out an item, a stone covered with moss, and tossed it atop the figure’s head!
"Rumble rumble~" The figure quaked continuously and started to distort and change!
"Phew~" In just two breaths, the figure transformed into someone else, morphing into the figure’s original form!
Seeing this form, the black-robed man stood up at once and leapt from the wooden hut, taking out a flute to blow it!
"Woo woo woo~ woo woo woo~" As the sound of the flute resonated, everyone in the entire space gathered swiftly towards the thatched hut. Moments later, an entire team of eight hundred people were kneeling at the feet of the black-robed man!
"He is coming!" the black-robed man said, taking a deep breath.
Nobody knew who this "he" referred to, which made them look curiously at their Gabriel Freeman!
Indeed, this person was Gabriel Freeman, famed for his vast knowledge of the heaven and earth, feared and revered for his mysterious and powerful presence that surpassed even the deities!
"The Changsheng King Yusuf Zuck!" the black-robed man said, taking a deep breath.
"What? The Changsheng King is coming?"
"He’s coming to our place?"
"What should we do?"
Everyone was shocked; the name’s fame precedes him, for the Changsheng King wields vast divine skills, and many have suffered greatly at his hands and met their end. In today’s world, few dare to challenge the Changsheng King, at least not head-on!
"Heh heh heh, heh heh heh..." the black-robed man suddenly started laughing: "Well, well, Yusuf Zuck, oh Yusuf, it’s been so many years, you’re like a restless soul, but today, I am not the same person as before; even if I can’t kill you, I’ll still take a layer of your skin!"
"Everyone listen! Set up mountain mists, create spatial traps; he doesn’t fear poison, nor Five Elements attacks, but his cultivation level foundation is exceedingly weak. In a direct confrontation, we may not be his rivals. As long as we trap him in the Soul Illusion Realm, he is sure to lose. Hurry and prepare!"

In that cellar was a huge jar, covered, exuding a sinister, cold aura.
He gently opened the cover of the jar, revealing a gigantic rat head inside!

However, it appeared blind because it had no eyeballs!
Gabriel Freeman gently stroked the big rat’s head, and its fierce nature gradually subsided as it sluggishly crawled out and knelt at Gabriel Freeman’s feet.
"Little slave greets the master!" While speaking, the big rat transformed into a stout little man, just over a meter tall, like a child, and yes, it was blind!
"He is coming, I want you to devour him!" Gabriel Freeman said, smiling faintly!
"Yes..." The blind rat nodded and then disappeared into the ground!
Gabriel Freeman laughed again!
Indeed, this person was no other than Yusuf Zuck’s old friend Landyn Torres!
He also came to the Transit Realm and had been working quietly for countless years, experiencing major fortune and transformation; possibly due to past grievances, he had also started practicing sorcery.
He and Yusuf Zuck were arch-enemies; initially, he only considered Yusuf Zuck a pawn, but later realized Yusuf far surpassed him, fueling his resentment. He couldn’t bear a little person overshadowing him, so the more he thought about it, the angrier and more malevolent he became!
As a result, he was no longer Landyn Torres, but Gabriel Freeman.

The blind rat was nobody else but the old Zhang the Blind. However, Zhang the Blind had long since died, now just a soulless shell refined into a Magic Treasure, one capable of restraining Yusuf Zuck, even driving him to madness!
Today, whether successful or not, his only goal was to incite madness in Yusuf Zuck, paving the way for the next step!
