Chapter 49: Thoughts on Going Premium

I received a notification from my editor. The book will be going premium tomorrow.

I opened up Writer’s Assistant today and took a look. I created my first novel on April 12, 2014. If you do the math, that means my writing career has been going on for almost six years now.

But after writing for so many years, all I can say is that I’ve managed to make ends meet. Sometimes, I see those "toxic success stories" pushed by Writer’s Assistant—tales of how other authors became overnight sensations, achieved god-tier status with a single book, and soared to superstardom. It makes me question myself, ’Am I really cut out for this profession?’

But then I think about it. Geniuses are few and far between. As a struggling author, I should just keep my head down and write diligently.

Let’s talk about results. On the day it reached its ultimate Peak, *Invincible* squeezed into 17th place on the new book rankings.

For many established authors, a result like that is nothing special. But for me, it was a wonderful and immense surprise.

I am incredibly grateful to all the readers for your votes and donations, which pushed *Invincible* to that spot.

Also, I’ve read all the feedback you’ve given. Some plot points do indeed have issues, and I will make adjustments in the future.

Now, about going premium. Even though the results before this have been great for me, my heart is pounding with anxiety now that it’s about to happen.

Because whether a novel is truly good or not is ultimately decided by its subscription numbers. So, I sincerely ask everyone to please subscribe to the official release.

Subscribing to a Chapter costs about ten cents. For high-Level VIPs, it’s only six or seven cents per Chapter. For you, it’s a small gesture, but for me, it’s my livelihood.

Many people have also asked how many Chapters I’ll release when the book goes premium. I can only say that I will do my best to post a mass release on the first day, but I can’t guarantee a specific number. As for the update schedule after that, you really don’t need to worry.

COUGH! It’s not that my updates will be incredibly fast. It’s just that for every extra Chapter I write, I earn a little more money. You won’t need to urge me on; I’ll be writing at my fastest possible Speed.
