Invincible Snake Emperor-Chapter 37: Biological Fusion Evolution Function
Wiping out over thirty bees was less than a drop in the bucket. The sheer number of bees here was terrifying.
In the next moment, another squadron of bees caught the scent and swarmed over—a good sixty or seventy of them.
This time, Tu Xiao’an couldn’t even be bothered to move. The dense BUZZZZZ of the surrounding bees was maddening.
One bee landed effortlessly on the Silver White Snake’s crystalline Snake Skin. It was attacking, trying to jab the snake with its stinger.
Tu Xiao’an watched with cold indifference as bee after bee landed on him, crawling over his serpentine form. Suddenly, he felt a faint itch.
A bee tried to sting him, but it was instantly dumbfounded. It discovered it couldn’t penetrate his skin at all.
The first bee failed, and so did the second. If their stingers—their strongest weapon—couldn’t inflict any damage, then the bees were utterly useless against him.
’Haha... Just as I thought.’
Tu Xiao’an’s body was constantly being enhanced. It looked crystalline, but its defense was astonishing. He had wanted to see if the bees’ stingers could actually hurt him.
If they couldn’t, he could act with even more impunity.
What did it matter how many bees filled the sky? If they couldn’t hurt him, they were no real threat.
’Come on, my Energy Value.’
Tu Xiao’an’s eyes narrowed. ’Consciousness Power, envelop them! Collect!’
Space rippled, and the bees crawling on the Silver White Snake’s body began to vanish one by one, as if Devoured by a wormhole.
’No matter how many bees there are, they’ll all end up as my underlings.’
Tu Xiao’an easily collected that entire group of bees into his system. But before he could even celebrate, he looked up and—good heavens—a massive, dense swarm of bees was sweeping toward him.
The sheer scale of it was truly frightening, like a small, dark cloud descending upon him.
With a quick glance, Tu Xiao’an grew serious. There were at least three hundred of them.
’Looks like this Silver White Snake has attracted some attention. Now I’m getting the special treatment.’
Suddenly, an idea flashed in Tu Xiao’an’s mind. ’Fighting my way through as a single snake is too slow.’ He glanced at his system’s Pet Box. He’d already collected over a hundred bees. What were they for? To help him fight his enemies, of course.
All he had to do was summon them and have them turn on their own kind.
There was another benefit to the creatures he subdued: when they killed other creatures, the Energy Value would be credited to Tu Xiao’an. He would gain Energy all the same.
It was a cheat-like ability, and its power was staggering.
’Come on out, my little bee underlings!’
Suddenly, a dense swarm of bees appeared above the Silver White Snake’s head, forming a hovering, luminous sphere.
The three hundred-plus bees were upon him in an instant, their buzzing endless.
Tu Xiao’an’s expression remained calm. With a narrowing of his eyes, the sphere of bees above his head launched like a missile into the attacking swarm of over three hundred.
The wild bees were instantly dumbfounded. What was happening? Their own kind were attacking them! Many of the bees didn’t have time to react and were bitten to death.
’Haha, that’s it!’
With his plan succeeding, Tu Xiao’an didn’t remain idle. He enveloped the dazed wild bees with his Consciousness Power, continuously pulling them into his system.
He could subdue dozens of bees at once. These newly captured bees would spend mere seconds in the Pet Box before Tu Xiao’an immediately summoned them back out to fight their former brethren.
At Level 5, subduing mere Level 1 bees took practically no effort. All it took was a forced capture.
’Collect... Collect... Collect!’
Tu Xiao’an continuously enveloped the wild bees with his consciousness. Before the eyes of the swarm, the targeted bees would vanish, only to reappear moments later and immediately attack their own kind.
Many bees died inexplicably at the hands of their brethren, never understanding how it happened even in death!
Tu Xiao’an took a moment to check his status. His Energy Value was skyrocketing—no, it was absolutely exploding. It was rising far too quickly.
2000/5000.
2500/5000.
4000/5000.
In less than ten minutes, Tu Xiao’an’s Energy Value was about to break five thousand. Leveling up was just moments away.
This was far easier than dealing with a single High Rank creature, and the Energy Value came just as fast.
But even though Tu Xiao’an’s Energy was rising quickly, he was still stuck at the very edge of the swarm, unable to advance an inch. He was surrounded by a terrifyingly dense mass of bees, and even more were flying toward him in massive waves.
As his bee army was whittled down, he simply captured more to take their place. The light in Tu Xiao’an’s Snake Pupils grew even more intense. The number of bees he’d captured was already approaching five hundred.
’Let the wild bees come. The more, the better.’
Just then, his Energy Value broke the 5,000 mark. He could level up.
"System, level me up."
As his Level increased, his body’s Attributes were enhanced. His Consciousness Power also grew stronger, allowing him to subdue even more bees at once.
A pillar of white light shot up and enveloped him, disappearing moments later. Tu Xiao’an’s four main body Attributes were strengthened, and he allocated the extra enhancement points directly into his physical fortitude.
He needed to push deeper into the swarm, and the bees would only grow more frantic. They would likely pile onto his body, making his physical defense critically important.
If his defense was breached, his fate would be the same as the viper from before—to die without a trace.
The level up left Tu Xiao’an feeling invigorated, a comfortable warmth spreading through his entire body. His constantly draining Consciousness Power was also successfully "refueled."
The number of surrounding bees continued to grow, reaching an exaggerated total of several thousand.
A swarm of this size would make anyone piss their pants and run for their life.
Just then, a strange system notification sounded.
"Ding... Congratulations, Host, for reaching Level 6. For subduing a large number of wild bees, the Biological Fusion Evolution function has been unlocked."
Tu Xiao’an froze for a second. ’Biological Fusion Evolution ability?’
’What’s that?’ He wanted to check the description, but the number of bees around him had reached an overwhelming, chaotic level. Tu Xiao’an couldn’t even spare the focus to envelop them with his consciousness.
His vision was filled with nothing but bees, all flying and attacking him relentlessly. Fortunately, Tu Xiao’an had been smart enough to add his extra enhancement points to his physical fortitude.
His crystalline Snake Skin looked smooth, but if you were to try and cut it with a sharp knife now, you would probably only leave a shallow scratch at best.
The air was thick with a dense swarm of bees, filled with a BUZZZZZ so loud it was like a piercing sonic wave.
There were too many of them, just too many. Tu Xiao’an could only direct his own bees to fight, but even though he had a decent number, they were killed and overwhelmed by the wild swarm within moments.
The "rebellion" of his small faction of bees was of no consequence to the greater colony.
His army of bee underlings was constantly growing, yet also constantly shrinking. He would capture them, and they would die shortly after.
