Chapter 1797: Chapter 1797: One-Way Teleportation?

A fearless general often empowers his troops to be invincible and charge forward relentlessly. However, such an opponent is not necessarily the most challenging.

The most daunting adversary strikes with the swiftness of a thunderbolt when advancing and retreats without any mess when necessary.

Though the Evil Sect is defeated at this moment, they are not entirely without fighting power. If faced with an average general, they would likely feel unwilling to concede and attempt to turn the tide.

Such individuals often appear in dramas, and more often than not, thanks to the protagonist’s aura, they successfully become heroes of their entire sect.

But that only happens in dramas; in a situation of absolute disadvantage, reversing the situation is incredibly difficult. Perhaps only one or two out of a hundred such attempts would succeed.

For this one percent chance, carrying the remaining forces into danger is an impulsive act. If caught by the opponent, it would lead to utter devastation.

As a foe, naturally, Ye Hao hopes the enemy would act impulsively. This way, he has the opportunity to wipe out the enemy’s main force, making it much easier to attack the Realm Gate when the enemy is severely weakened.

Unfortunately, the Evil Sect Master is not one to act on impulse, decisively retreating into the White Court Origin Realm while the Evil Sect still maintains most of its fighting power.

With such forces, directly confronting the Xuanmen is unrealistic, but guarding the Realm Gate is all too easy.

Ye Hao, dissatisfied, dispatched several squads to tentatively attack the Realm Gate. But without exception, these were annihilated. This caused his heart to sink thoroughly.

The war has reached this point and is indeed considered a major victory. However, as long as the Evil Sect is not thoroughly eradicated, he cannot feel at ease. Who knows if the Evil Sect will strike again suddenly, once they’ve healed their wounds, leaving them at a disadvantage?

"Haochuan, you’re full of cunning plans, do you have any good ideas?" Ye Hao, out of ideas, turned his gaze towards Ye Haochuan.

Oh come on, what do you mean by full of cunning plans? This young master is resourceful, alright?

Ye Haochuan smiled bitterly in his heart.

He indeed thought himself somewhat intelligent, but faced with such circumstances, he could only helplessly shake his head and say, "For such a tight defense, no strategy is of any use!"

"Even you have no way?" Ye Hao suddenly shook his head, smiling bitterly, "Well, you’re smart, but not a god; how could you solve everything?"

In this fight against the Evil Sect, the greatest and most standout contributor was undoubtedly Ye Haochuan. This victory was largely due to his efforts.

That’s why, despite knowing it was unrealistic, he still pinned his hopes on Ye Haochuan. Thinking back, he realized he had indeed expected too much perfection from him.

Seeing Ye Hao’s disappointed expression, Ye Haochuan suddenly felt a sense of regret.

Yet at this moment, a thought suddenly flashed across his mind.

Right, how could I have forgotten about that place?

Ye Haochuan instantly beamed with excitement, saying to Ye Hao, "Grandfather, there’s a place that might help us enter the White Court Origin Realm."

"Oh? Where is it? Take me there quickly!" Upon suddenly hearing this news, Ye Hao was so excited he became a little incoherent.

Ye Haochuan didn’t keep it a secret, immediately leading Yang Sen, Ye Hao, and a few others including the seven Geniuses, to the original underground chapel.

He didn’t bring too many people, firstly because the place couldn’t accommodate many and secondly to avoid infiltrators from the Evil Sect, which would alert the enemy.

"You’re saying you got out of the White Court Origin Realm from here back then?" Ye Hao and Yang Sen looked at him with eyes full of disbelief.

Ye Haochuan nodded solemnly, noting that this underground chapel was the place teleported from the cave beneath Mount Obis.

"However, I’m still not sure exactly how it transported me. After I came out, I searched but didn’t find any mechanism to teleport back. So, I’m not sure if it’s a one-way Teleportation Array." Ye Haochuan spread his hands.

Then he suddenly thought of something and said, "I imagine that there must be a connection between two one-way teleportation arrays, right? Maybe a skilled Array Master could rebuild that connection?"

"It’s not as simple as you think. Teleportation Arrays are classified as spatial formations, and such formations have long been lost!" Ye Hao shook his head, sighing.

"Lost? So, the Teleportation Arrays of other dimension worlds are also..." Ye Haochuan wasn’t particularly adept with formations and truly wasn’t aware of this.

"Yes, all Teleportation Arrays are relics from ancient times. Over thousands of years, many talented individuals have studied these arrays, but the space law is too complex and remains a mystery."

"So, there’s no chance?" Ye Haochuan said, somewhat unwillingly.

He had finally recalled a possible entrance, and now all hope seemed to be dashed, something he found hard to accept.

"If we can’t find the Formation Foundation here, then it may very well be as you said, a one-way teleportation!"

Ye Hao shook his head, saying, "The ancient Great Powers might have been able to convert one-way transportation into two-way through special means, but now, it’s impossible!"

"Not necessarily!" said Zi Mengqi, who had been silently listening, suddenly.

Ye Haochuan’s eyes lit up instantly at this voice. Excitedly, he said, "Mengqi, do you understand Teleportation Arrays?"

Zi Mengqi was a rare formation grandmaster among Demon Beasts, inheriting formation techniques in ways different from humans; a lost human formation might not be lost to Demon Beasts.

Ye Haochuan looked at Zi Mengqi with hope, but what met him was Zi Mengqi shaking her small head side to side.

"Why are you causing a commotion when you don’t understand!" The sudden shift in emotions frustrated Ye Haochuan, making him feel like he was being teased.

With a pout, Zi Mengqi said, "Although I don’t particularly understand Teleportation Arrays, I could guess the principle behind this formation."

"In order for two different locations to interconnect, there must be something between the two places that resonates, causing time and space to overlap, and then breaking through that overlapping space-time to allow people and objects to traverse."

Ye Haochuan pondered, "Are you saying that as long as we find this resonating factor, we can break open this Teleportation Array?"

"That’s impossible!" Before Zi Mengqi could answer, Ye Hao denied it, "If it’s that simple, those studying dimension world Teleportation Arrays wouldn’t have gotten nowhere."

Upon hearing this, Ye Haochuan frowned immediately. The Teleportation Array at the dimension world’s entry was bidirectional and just based on things resonating at both ends.

Moreover, these Teleportation Arrays were set at locations where two spaces naturally intersect, and simply tearing open the space could realize teleportation. This should be the simplest according to space law.

The fact that this simplest space rule has remained unexplained by researchers makes the one-way Teleportation Array much more complex.

"This..." Zi Mengqi was rendered speechless, pouting and saying, "Who knows if they are too dumb to understand?"
