Interstellar Number One Farmer: I Only Want To Farm!-Chapter 226 - 75: Local Specialty
The Barbie doll was put in a box, and as for the little dresses, Daddy Su thought she got them too dirty every day and didn’t let her wear them, but these were all precious memories, and Su Xiaocai couldn’t bear to throw them away.
As night fell, a bonfire was lit outside the house, and Su Xiaocai texted Daddy Su to come home for dinner.
It wasn’t until the third call that Daddy Su finally came out of the greenhouse.
As soon as Daddy Su appeared, Su Xiaocai had the makeshift band start playing music.
A birthday song unique to Su’s Planet was dedicated to Daddy Su, with Wu Qingqing presenting a hand-woven flower crown, and Feng Wansha and Li Leilei each holding a bouquet of flowers.
"Dad, happy birthday."
"Uncle, happy birthday."
Daddy Su was surprised and delighted, checked the date, and it was indeed his birthday. He couldn’t suppress his smile, "You all are so thoughtful."
Looking at the vibrant young faces who had prepared this birthday ceremony just for him, Daddy Su felt deeply moved.
This was the first time he had so many people celebrating his birthday.
Surrounded by young folks eager to please, Daddy Su’s smile was bright but he gradually sensed something was off. They were too enthusiastic.
Being straightforward, Daddy Su warned, "You all don’t want to pursue my daughter, do you?"
Su Xiaocai wanted to say, "Your daughter isn’t that much of a heartthrob; they’re looking to have a mother and be your grandchildren instead."
Ji Li, smiling, handed Daddy Su a freshly grilled rabbit skewer, "Don’t worry, they just want to learn Caicai’s skills, no thoughts in that direction for now."
Liu Xun: "Exactly, our enthusiasm for you is just a roundabout way to win her favor."
"We’re sisters, and nothing more," Hu Ping automatically emphasized, knowing he needed Su Xiaocai’s guidance in the future and couldn’t afford to let Daddy Su misunderstand.
Otherwise, he couldn’t explain if they were seen as a couple and got into trouble.
Only Wu Feiyang was embarrassed; everyone else distanced themselves so quickly, leaving him awkwardly stranded.
But he didn’t dare to show it in front of Daddy Su, always feeling there was more to the seven-colored belt around Daddy Su’s waist, especially as Daddy Su’s hand hovered over it when the topic came up.
Trusting his instinct, Wu Feiyang kept silent, and the others were even less likely to voice any dissent, being Su Xiaocai’s eager students who clearly understood the importance of respecting their master.
Daddy Su also thought his daughter wasn’t yet of an age to be married off.
"True, she’s too young now. Maybe in a couple of years."
That single line effectively blocked Wu Feiyang’s pursuit, leaving him suppressing frustration and sadness.
Wu Qingqing covered her mouth to suppress her laughter, knowing her cousin’s love journey was destined to be long and arduous. No, it was better described as his plans failing before they even began.
In two years, their master might have already soared to new heights. Meanwhile, Wu Feiyang would still be a new recruit just entering the program, with slim chances.
In the lively atmosphere, besides Wu Qingqing paying some attention to Wu Feiyang, no one noticed his downcast, aggrieved expression.
Roast chicken, various rabbits, and fresh fruits and vegetables—such a lavish dinner captivated everyone’s attention.
The bonfire burned on until past ten at night before it was put out.
...
Happy times are always fleeting.
In the blink of an eye, three days passed, and the group played their hearts out on Su’s Planet before heading back to Capital Star.
Everything they needed to carry had been properly arranged.
Before leaving, Daddy Su pulled Su Xiaocai aside and gifted her a cage, inside which was a chubby calico cat that looked like a ball.
"Didn’t you want a pet? Here you go."
Looking at the fat cat in the cage, Su Xiaocai knew Daddy Su was not one for an emotional farewell, "Take good care of it. A friend found it as a kitten on Insect Man Planet. It’s had a full check-up and is very healthy, so don’t let it become frail."
Su Xiaocai accepted it with a grin, "Giving me a cat? Will its poop stink?"
Daddy Su glared, "Does your poop smell like flowers? Do you want it or not? I was originally going to give you a turtle. Turtle brat and old turtle are a perfect match."
Su Xiaocai: "Dad, you can’t scold yourself like that. I’m your daughter, and if your daughter is a turtle brat, then you’re the old turtle."
With that, Su Xiaocai quickly ran off at lightning speed to avoid giving Daddy Su’s seven-colored whip a chance to function.
Daddy Su fumed, "You little rascal, if you have the guts, don’t come back. Come back, and we’ll see if I don’t hit you."
Su Xiaocai stuck her tongue out at Daddy Su, running even faster.
Daddy Su’s gift, the calico cat, was a bit special, with a tuft of white fur on its ear and round yellow-brown eyes, likely a hybrid with some sort of wild beast.
Su Xiaocai fed it through the cage with frozen meat snacks, and it obediently came over to eat, curling up to sleep in the cage after finishing.
It seemed well-behaved.
Su Xiaocai didn’t let it out until the spaceship had returned to Capital Star. Once she reached her dorm, she finally let the cat, whom she named Huahua, explore and adjust to its new environment in the room.
