Interstellar Beast World: All My Husbands Are Powerful and Rich!-Chapter 24: Finally a good match
Dax: Buddy, no matter what happens, don’t breathe a word of this to the Female Master. When the gift arrives tomorrow, just say it was entirely your idea. If she finds out I helped you choose it, she’ll think it lacks sincerity—and that will only make her angrier.
Jasper: Understood! Got it! Thanks so much, brother!
Jasper truly believed Dax was a kind and righteous beast. In his heart, gratitude swelled. Once I get closer to the Female Master, he thought earnestly, I’ll repay this kindness properly. I won’t forget it.
After successfully reeling Jasper in, Dax glanced at the time. By now, Rory should have finished soothing Paros. Everything was unfolding exactly as he had planned. With practiced ease, he sent another message.
Dax: I’ve already spoken well of you in front of the Female Master. I managed to calm her mood a bit. She should be contacting you for a video call very soon.
The moment Jasper read that Rory would be calling him first, a surge of panic and excitement rushed through him at the same time. His serpent tail tightened instinctively around the nearby pillar—so forcefully that the black-gold ore embedded in it let out a sharp crack.
No, no, no! he panicked internally. She can’t see my tail! What if it frightens her? Retract—retract right now!
With incredible effort, Jasper forced his tail to withdraw back into concealment. His breathing steadied as he hurriedly inspected himself. His combat uniform was freshly cleaned, neatly pressed, and free of dust. His hair was in place. His posture straightened. Everything looked... acceptable.
Just as he finished checking his appearance, the incoming call notification lit up his light-brain.
Rory had just stepped out of Paros’s room when she noticed Jasper’s earlier messages in the group chat. She also saw his missed video call.
During the soothing session, her light-brain had been disabled—there was no way she could have responded at the time. After a brief moment of consideration, she returned to her own room, closed the door, and initiated a call back.
The holo-monitor shimmered to life.
A tall male appeared on the screen, standing inside what looked like a partially collapsed building. He wore a black-and-purple combat uniform that clung perfectly to his frame, outlining long legs and a lean, powerful waist. Even without effort, it was obvious he was well-built—Rory didn’t need much imagination to guess what lay beneath the fitted fabric.
Jasper stood at attention, rigid as a statue. His dark violet eyes—deep and intense—were locked onto her image, brimming with nervous tension. Both hands were pressed stiffly to his sides, as if he feared that even the slightest movement might offend her.
Rory’s brows knit together subtly at the sight. He looked far too tense.
"Jasper?" she asked gently, her voice soft and careful, as though she were afraid that raising it even a little might startle him.
"Yes—yes! It’s me, Female Master!" Jasper blurted out, his words tumbling over one another in nervous haste.
This was the first time he had ever spoken to her directly.
She’s even more beautiful than I imagined, he thought in awe. And her voice... it’s so gentle.
In that instant, he silently thanked the Beast God with all his heart for granting him such a kind and compassionate mate.
"Jasper, you don’t need to be so anxious," Rory said warmly. She truly didn’t understand why he looked as though he were bracing himself for punishment.
His gaze dropped instinctively, long lashes casting shadows over his striking eyes. His handsome features carried a brooding sharpness, the kind that warned others not to approach—yet beneath it was unmistakable sincerity.
"Was there something you wanted to talk about?" she asked.
Lately, Rory had conditioned herself to expect bad news whenever a match contacted her first—requests for dissolution, excuses, withdrawals. But as her calm voice flowed through the holo-monitor, Jasper felt the tension drain from his body bit by bit.
He raised his eyes and focused solely on her image.
"I’m sorry, Female Master," he said earnestly. "When the system matched us, I was in Duskora. There was no signal at all, so I couldn’t contact you immediately."
"I saw your explanation in the group chat," Rory replied with a nod. "I didn’t hold it against you." 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
And she truly hadn’t.
He didn’t expect to be matched so suddenly either, she thought. Yet the moment he regained signal, he turned back immediately.
Compared to the others, Jasper had already shown far more sincerity.
For the first time since arriving in the interstellar beast world, Rory felt as though she had finally encountered a normal, genuine match. The realization felt almost unreal.
Hearing her reassurance, Jasper released a long, shaky breath he hadn’t realized he was holding.
"Female Master," he continued, visibly relieved, "I was originally supposed to take at least a month to return. But on my way back, I encountered a high-tier Chitinid. Because of that... I was able to return to Madabra much sooner."
His face brightened as he spoke, carefully omitting the part where he had nearly died. Instead, he silently thanked the Beast God for allowing him to return safely—and quickly.
At the mention of a high-tier Chitinid, Rory’s heart tightened.
"A Chitinid?" she asked at once. "Were you hurt?"
A high-tier one was no joke. A single misstep could have meant death.
Jasper shook his head firmly. "No. That grotesque creature was no match for me. I took its core—and I’ll bring it back as a gift for you."
Inside, his emotions erupted into pure joy.
She cares about me, he thought, almost dizzy with happiness.
"The Beast God truly gave me the perfect mate."
"Female Master," he said with quiet determination, "I’ll arrive at Veridan in two days. Please wait for me a little longer. Once I arrive, we can bond."
Bonding meant surrendering everything—every asset, every resource—to his female. Jasper had already ordered his subordinates to begin liquidating his holdings. There was much to arrange, and it would take time, but he had already made up his mind.
As Rory listened, a quiet thought surfaced in her heart.
He’s the first match who’s been this honest... this sincere about wanting to bond with me.
