Chapter 218: Coral Sea

"Big sis, those two old men are really weird. I don’t like them. Let’s go already!"

Diapers? Paros thought the two old men looked like creeps.

This time, Ethan truly broke down in tears. "Rory... what’s wrong with our Dragon Lord?"

How could he not even recognize the people closest to him?

Rory glanced at Paros beside her, his lips pressed into a sullen line, clearly unhappy. Then she turned to the Second Elder and said,

"A few days ago, your Dragon Lord went to the Snowfields. He encountered a snow surge and was severely injured—his head was affected, and his mental barrier collapsed. When he woke up, he became like this."

"What?!" Ethan’s vision went black, and he collapsed on the spot.

Half an hour later, under the care of the dragon clan’s physicians, Ethan slowly regained consciousness.

"Second Elder, are you alright?"

Rory looked at the tearful Ethan, then at Paros in the distance—who was playing happily with Terry, the two of them radiating a warm, father-and-son-like affection—and gently tried to reassure him.

"Second Elder, please don’t worry. The doctor has already examined Paros. They said his current condition is due to the collapse of his mental barrier. Once it recovers, he’ll return to normal."

The moment Ethan heard this, he scrambled out of bed and dropped to his knees before Rory.

"Rory... please, I’m begging you—save our Dragon Lord."

Right now, the only one who could soothe their Dragon Lord’s mind... was Rory.

Through tears, he continued, "Rory, I’m willing to serve you like an ox or a horse. Anything in the Water Domain that catches your eye—take it. Every treasure of the dragon clan, we’ll give it all to you. Please... just save him."

The Water Domain could not exist without its Dragon Lord. And the Three Domains... needed him even more.

"Second Elder, please get up." Rory sighed softly. "I will help Paros repair his mental sea."

Terry was still perched on Paros’s head—there was no way she would let anything happen to him.

After waiting for quite a while, Paros finally walked over, clearly displeased.

"Big sis, can we go out and play now?"

"Mom, Dad said he’d take us to the Coral Sea. He said it’s really beautiful there."

At the mention of the Coral Sea, Ethan—who had just stopped crying—began to weep again.

"The Dragon Lord has forgotten everything... yet he still remembers the Coral Sea."

Rory blinked. "Is that place special?"

Through his tears, Ethan nodded. "When the old Dragon Lord was still alive, he used to take him there often. After his death... the Dragon Lord would go there alone."

He steadied himself before continuing, "Rory, the Coral Sea is indeed beautiful—and it’s safe. You may go. I’ll arrange for guards to protect you in secret."

If Paros were in his right mind, he wouldn’t need protection anywhere.

But now, with his mental power shattered, the Second Elder could only feel at ease if someone followed discreetly.

"Big sis, let’s go already!"

Paros was utterly fed up with these old men. They talked too much—slow and tedious, wasting his time.

He grabbed Rory’s hand and pulled her along. The moment they stepped out of the Dragon Palace, they ran into Wen, who had just arrived.

When Rory had gone to the Snowfields, she knew Wen couldn’t withstand the harsh climate and had sent him back to the Water Domain in advance.

After Yuel and Vincent learned she was at the Dragon Palace, they immediately asked the closest one—Wen—to come and accompany her.

"Master."

Seeing Rory walk out of the Dragon Palace safe and sound, the tension that had gripped Wen’s heart the entire journey finally eased.

"Wen, you’re here." Rory’s face lit up with genuine warmth. "Paros and Terry want to go to the Coral Sea. Come with us."

"Of course." Wen nodded without hesitation. "Master... I’m sorry. I wasn’t there to protect you when you went missing."

He had only learned of her disappearance after Yuel and the others had already found her.

Yuel had known Wen couldn’t survive in the Snowfields—telling him earlier would have only caused him anguish—so he hadn’t informed him right away.

"It’s not your fault." Rory shook her head gently. "It was an accident. I didn’t expect things to turn out like this either."

"Big sis, let’s go!" Paros tugged at Rory’s hand again, shooting Wen an annoyed glare.

"B-Big sis...?" Wen stared at him in shock.

Had Paros lost his mind? A man in his thirties... calling his master—a young woman in her twenties—big sister?

Before Rory could explain, Paros suddenly transformed into a massive black dragon.

With a powerful sweep of his tail, he wrapped Rory up and lifted her effortlessly onto the top of his head.

In the next instant, he shot forward, leaving the Dragon Palace behind in a blur.

Wen immediately followed.

The enormous dragon glided through the water like a shadow of night.

Rory sat atop Paros’s head, while Terry clung to one of his horns. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

A transparent bubble enveloped both of them, shielding them completely as they rode the currents together.

Inside the bubble, there was no water—only clear, breathable air.

No matter how fast Paros swam, the bubble never ruptured. It clung to them like a flawless shield, steady and unyielding against the rushing currents.

Before long, a breathtaking coral reef unfolded before Rory’s eyes.

Towering coral formations rose like underwater skyscrapers, some as tall as ten-story buildings. Among them, clusters of blood-red coral gleamed like polished crimson jade—rich, luminous, and utterly mesmerizing.

"Dad, Dad! That coral is so pretty—pick it and give it to Mom!"

Perched on Paros’s horn, Terry pointed excitedly, her voice ringing with delight as she directed him.

Paros extended a massive claw, effortlessly uprooting the coral she had chosen. With a flick, he tossed it backward to Wen, who had just caught up behind them.

"This is for Big Sis. Clean it up."

Freshly torn from the reef, the coral’s shape was still rough and unrefined—it needed trimming to reveal its true beauty.

The moment Wen heard it was for Rory, he immediately set to work with utmost care, meticulously tidying the piece.

"Dad, this one’s nice too!"

"Dad, I want that one as well!"

"Dad—!"

Rory listened to Terry’s endless stream of "Dad, Dad" and silently covered her face.

She couldn’t help but wonder... when Yuel arrived and saw this scene, just how heartbroken would he be?

Nearby, Wen was still carefully refining the coral when his gaze drifted toward the small figure hanging from Paros’s horn.

His hands faltered—the coral nearly slipped from his grip.

If he wasn’t mistaken... that was Yuel’s child.

Yuel’s child... calling Paros "Dad."

Did Yuel even know about this?

Without a word, Wen discreetly activated his light-brain, recorded a short video, and sent it to the group chat.

Aboard a warship speeding toward them, Yuel watched the clip.

His face darkened instantly.

Beside him, Vincent studied the footage. Seeing that Rory looked perfectly fine, he finally relaxed and chuckled.

"Looks like Paros is quite happy helping you raise your child."

Nix nodded in agreement. "Terry’s adorable. Hanging off his horn like that... it actually suits her."

Jasper added casually, "If you let Paros take care of the kid, you’ll have more time to compete for favor."

Xarion gave a solemn nod. "A good opportunity."

Yuel shot them all a cold glance, then pressed his fingers to his temples, a headache forming.

He did want to hand that little troublemaker off to someone else...

But in Paros’s current state, there was no way he’d dare entrust Terry to him.

***

By evening, Paros returned from the Coral Sea with Rory and Terry, laden with spoils.

Not only had they gathered an abundance of coral, they had also captured numerous sea beasts.

"Master, I’ll prepare dinner."

Wen had learned how to cook sea beasts from Jasper, and his skills were more than respectable.

As Wen left, Paros slipped up behind Rory and wrapped his arms around her waist.

Resting his chin against her shoulder, he murmured softly into her ear, his voice tinged with grievance, "Big sis... my head hurts."
