Interstellar Beast World: All My Husbands Are Powerful and Rich!-Chapter 189: No longer wants to die
The Next Morning
When Rory opened her eyes the next morning, the first thing she noticed was a silver-white tail wrapped securely around her waist.
Xarion was still asleep beside her. His long lashes cast quiet shadows beneath his eyes, and his thin lips were gently pressed together. In the soft morning light, his handsome face looked almost unreal—like a sculpture carved from ice and moonlight.
Rory watched him for a moment, and his words from the night before resurfaced in her mind.
"Which version of me does your body prefer more?"
Just where had this guy learned to flirt like that?
Reaching out, Rory tried to move Xarion’s tail off her waist.
But the moment she shifted, the man beside her murmured something indistinct in his sleep. His long arm swept out with surprising accuracy, pulling her straight back into his embrace and hugging her even tighter.
The silver tail followed suit, coiling more firmly around her waist as if declaring ownership.
"Female Master..." he mumbled drowsily. His cheek brushed against the top of her head before he sank back into deeper sleep.
Rory remained silent.
She lay there for several more minutes, waiting until she was certain he had fallen fully asleep again. Only then did she carefully slip out of his arms, climb out of bed, wash up, change clothes, and quietly leave the room.

Downstairs, Jasper had already prepared breakfast.
When Rory came downstairs, she found him sitting on the living room sofa waiting for her.
Cotton Candy was curled up in the corner, looking like he had retreated into another one of his gloomy moods.
But that happened so often that Rory was already used to it.
"Rory."
The moment Jasper saw her come down, he stood up and went to the kitchen to bring out breakfast.
Everything on the table was her favorite.
After accompanying her through the meal, Jasper asked gently, "Do you want to go out for a walk today?"
The weather was beautiful, and he had heard the city outside was especially lively.
And Jasper knew well—Rory loved lively places.
Rory thought for a moment before replying, "This afternoon. I promised Lola Brandon that I’d make her some cakes and pastries, so I’ll prepare them this morning."
"Then in the afternoon we can go to the hospital to visit Gina."
Jasper nodded without hesitation. "We can come home a little later tonight. I heard there’s going to be a meteor shower tonight. I could take you to the Stellar River to watch it."
Meteor showers in interstellar space were rare—and very different from those on Blue Planet.
Rory had seen recordings of them on her light brain. Each meteor streaked across the cosmic river in a different color, trailing starlight behind it. They were breathtaking.
"There’s really going to be a meteor shower?" Rory’s eyes lit up. "Then I definitely have to see it!"
Smiling, she went into the kitchen to start baking cakes and pastries for Lola. She also prepared a portion for the Firebird Clan’s leader.
Once everything was finished, she arranged for the gifts to be delivered to the Firebird Clan together.

Upstairs
Meanwhile, Xarion shifted restlessly in bed and reached toward the space beside him.
But his hand met empty sheets.
"Female Master?"
His eyes snapped open. Rory was already gone.
Damn it.
When had she woken up?
He hadn’t even noticed—and he hadn’t been there to take care of her when she got up.
Xarion immediately sat upright. Just as he was about to get out of bed, a sudden wave of heat surged through his body.
This...
His rut?
But it wasn’t supposed to arrive for another three months. Why had it suddenly come early?
Could it be because he had forcibly adjusted his body temperature last night?
Moving quickly, Xarion pulled a fresh set of clothes from his spatial ring and dressed. Then he left Rory’s room, planning to return to his own room and lie inside his ice crystal coffin for a while.
The cold aura inside it could temporarily suppress the onset of his rut.
***
Rory had already finished making all the cakes and pastries.
She and Jasper were now sitting in the living room, carefully packing them into decorative boxes.
Since the gifts were meant for others, they couldn’t be packaged carelessly.
When Rory saw Xarion coming downstairs, she waved to him.
"Xarion, you’re awake! Come help us!"
Xarion had been heading straight back to his room—but the moment he heard her voice, he stopped in his tracks.
Her voice seemed to carry invisible hooks that tugged directly at his soul.
His original destination—the ice crystal coffin—instantly became hazy and distant. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
His reason told him he should stay away from the Female Master right now.
But Rory’s voice and scent wrapped around him like a fine net he couldn’t escape.
His body turned on its own.
Step by step, he walked toward her.
Jasper glanced up at him—and frowned slightly when he saw Xarion staring at Rory with an intense, fixed gaze.
That look...
It was exactly the kind of look someone had during a rut.
Rory, however, noticed nothing. She was concentrating on tying a ribbon bow around one of the boxes.
Xarion walked over and sat down beside her.
Or rather—pressed himself against her.
He sat extremely close, his knee and arm openly brushing against hers.
Through the thin fabric of their clothes, the warmth and softness of Rory’s body transmitted clearly, fueling the burning heat building inside him.
Feeling him suddenly lean so close, Rory paused and turned to look at him.
"Xarion, why are you sitting so close to me?"
This wasn’t the bed—and Jasper was sitting right across from them.
Xarion didn’t answer. He lowered his eyes, his gaze falling on the ribbon in Rory’s hand.
But what filled his senses was her scent... and the trembling warmth where their arms touched.
He endured it again and again before managing to suppress the urge to pull her into his arms.
Reaching out, he tried to grab the ribbon beside her.
But his hand seemed to have its own mind. Instead of touching the ribbon, it closed around Rory’s hand.
Her hand was soft and warm—completely enclosed within his cool palm. Xarion stared at their intertwined hands with something close to fascination.
Something was wrong.
Today’s Xarion was even more strange than usual.
Jasper set down the packaging he had been working on and looked at him suspiciously.
"Xarion... are you in your rut?"
Rory glanced at Jasper, then at Xarion. "Isn’t he already in his rut?"
"He’s already in it?" Jasper stared at Xarion in shock.
If that were true, his self-control was terrifying.
How could he endure it this long before losing control?
Before this moment, Jasper truly hadn’t noticed that Xarion had entered his rut.
"I’m not," Xarion said quietly. "I wasn’t."
He didn’t understand why the Female Master thought he had already entered it.
"I only entered my rut today. But Female Master, don’t you worry. I can endure it."
Rory didn’t quite understand what exactly he was enduring.
After all, she—the Female Master—was right here.
But since Xarion insisted, she chose to respect his decision.
After all, Xarion was different from Jasper or Yuel.
Jasper and Yuel had both clearly expressed their desire to become mates with her.
If they were suffering during their rut, Rory would probably just pounce on them directly.
But Xarion was different.
For him, becoming mates had originally meant preparing himself to die.
And judging by his behavior now... he clearly wasn’t ready for that anymore.
Rory studied him thoughtfully.
Suddenly, a realization dawned on her.
Could it be...
Since she had recently soothed him several times, his body wasn’t suffering as much anymore?
So perhaps—for the moment—he no longer wanted to die.
