Rain stopped moving when his exploration led him to the coast of the territory. Standing at the coastline, he confirmed that there was nothing further beyond—just an expanse of endless water stretching out before him. This realization solidified the understanding that there were no additional territories or landmasses in these directions, only the vastness of the ocean.
Rain assumed that the domain of the dragons must now extend further to the north. It came to him that this could explain why he hadn’t discovered any of their bases or cities during his exploration in that direction. The dragons, it seemed, were not found to establish bases along the coastal areas maybe they didn’t like getting a tan…
"This is a part of the world that I don’t know either, but finding anything underwater will be way harder… even though the number of dragons will be limited," Rain thought. "Come to think of it, the kraken dragons should have some relics stored… and I want the ones that can’t talk for the sake of my sanity."
Without wasting time, Rain decided to follow North along the coast… while that seemed counterintuitive, he decided to keep an eye on both land and the sea for enemies. Fortunately, Rain didn’t have to run for long to find something…
Rain’s eyes widened in surprise as he looked into the distance. At first, the sight seemed stupid, almost like a mirage dancing above the clouds. However, as he focused, his astonishment increased, confirming what he thought he saw. There, floating high above the clouds were colossal chunks of land, their forms akin to towering mountains suspended in the sky.
The sheer size and distinct shapes left no doubt in Rain’s mind—these floating chunks of earth were indeed mountains. Amid the clouds, he could make out the figures of dragons, some standing at the peaks of these skyborne lands while others gracefully soared around them.
The surreal sight captured Rain’s attention, leaving him in awe at the incredible sight unfolding before his eyes. The dragons’ presence atop these lofty heights further added to the enigma surrounding their domain and their capacity to inhabit such surreal places.
"They are wind dragons, but their numbers are small…" Rain thought. "That being said, I can’t deal with them in that kind of environment. Their magic must be keeping that floating and if they fall… another disaster will take place and I will eventually be found out."
It was weird that the floating mountains were close to the ocean, and there were no signs of where the heck they came from. Still, few things regarding the dragons made sense.
As Rain ventured deeper into the dragons’ domain, he encountered numerous floating mountains similar to the other ones he had spotted. However, these new land masses seemed to have fewer dragons inhabiting them, indicating variations in their importance or significance within the dragons’ lifestyle.
Despite doing that for several days, Rain couldn’t find any other primary bases or settlements specifically associated with the earth dragons. This absence left a veil of mystery around their whereabouts and the potential existence of concealed lairs and hidden territories.
The massive territory claimed by the dragons stretched far and wide, dwarfing the combined size of all the other countries in the world. The sheer size of their domain hinted at the dragons’ immense power and influence over the land for thousands of years.
As Rain journeyed through this colossal land, the realization that there might be unexplored territories within the dragons’ domain intrigued him. He assumed what hidden secrets or undiscovered regions might lie beyond the areas he had crossed. This curiosity fueled his desire to continue exploring, hoping to unravel more mysteries within the dragons’ vast territory.
"Their motto should be: this land needs democracy, we shall invade it… maybe these dragons are humans reincarnated as well," Rain thought. "Regardless, now what? Things are seriously getting out of hand fast."
If the fire dragons weren’t there, Rain had no idea where to search and the dragons land was too massive for him to check every single inch… in the end, Rain decided to check the other side of the coast just to complete the layout of their territory, but he couldn’t do anything else aside from imagining the dimensions of their land.
Since the dragons there weren’t busy at all, Rain imagined that the remaining dragons must be elsewhere… probably dealing with the teleport guy and perhaps the human that started the war… it was hard to say for sure, though.
Just looking by himself wouldn’t help that much, but Rain couldn’t involve the others yet. That could only happen when their strength was higher, and their chances of victory in a war were more plausible… with that in mind, Rain decided to check things from a distance and see what he could do.
As Rain made up his mind, he began flying high above the clouds, and he felt a sense of tension and anxiety. Gradually, the earth’s atmosphere thinned until he emerged into the vast expanse of space. Despite the seemingly infinite void, he remained shielded within the limits of his domain and the properties of the water mirror technique, and it didn’t even freeze.
This protected him from the harsh and unforgiving conditions of space.

Gazing out into the cosmic abyss, Rain looked around once more and marveled at the breathtaking view of the stars, planets, and celestial bodies. The sheer magnitude of the universe stretched endlessly before him. He took a moment to appreciate the tranquility of the cosmos, feeling isolated yet oddly serene in this unknown realm.
He enjoyed doing that quite a bit since it made him feel like his problems were nonsensical and easily solvable…
"Well, no time to enjoy the view that much… I have to try to find things from here," Rain thought as he looked around. "Come to think of it… dragons can live in harsh environments… I wonder if they can cross space as well..."
