Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse-Chapter 4985: Devastation I
To this day, the feeling of perceiving something new from following strings of destiny, fate, or really Mana, felt unique for Noah.
It was like being connected to an endlessly vast sea he should have no way of accessing, and yet he was. The threads of fate stretched in every direction simultaneously, countless golden strands representing possibilities and connections and paths that his awareness could follow toward destinations his conscious mind had not yet identified. Every thread led somewhere. Every strand connected to something. The sea was infinite in scope, and his perception was merely a vessel sailing across its surface.
And Infinite Undifferentiated Fate felt even grander than anything he had touched before.
His Countable Infinities extended his perception in sequential progressions that allowed him to tap into and connect with the vast stretches of his authority spreading across Observable Existence. He searched for keywords, for resonances, for connections that would lead him toward targets worthy of demonstration.
His Infinities had spread through corrupted proto-matter in THE Prima Indifferentia. His Seals had scattered across regions he had never personally visited. His influence touched countless territories through harvest and connection and the simple fact that Infinity, once released, did not stop expanding.
He perceived many things through those connections.
Existence was vast and the information was countless, so Noah focused on something more local.
Something within reach of his current position.
Something that would serve as an appropriate test for what he had built.
Within moments, he saw multiple golden threads that burned brighter than the others around them.
One led to a Formless Terror that had emerged from THE Prima Indifferentia and was currently drifting through THE Wastes with purpose that his perception could not immediately discern. The creature was ancient by the standards of complex life, its churning mass dense with absorbed corruption that made it more dangerous than it had been before awakening.
Another thread led to a Shelter of THE Loom that was currently under siege, its defenders struggling against an Undivided One that had broken through its outer barriers. The beings within were fighting for survival.
How ridiculous it was that grand Early Creatures...were now mere beings fighting for survival!
And then a third thread led to something more interesting entirely.
An Undivided One and multiple Formless Terrors that seemed about to come into conflict with each other in a region of THE Wastes not far from his current position. Four entities of tremendous power preparing to clash over territory or hunger or whatever motivations drove such beings toward violence.
"It’s decided."
Noah came to a decision.
Noah waved his hand, and the Tetras Apeiron responded to his command with precision that spoke of the connection between master and forces bound through Infinity.
Skoll circled Noah happily, the very good boy’s Infinite-enhanced form eager for whatever adventure was about to unfold.
And then Noah stepped forward onto what he imagined to be endless strings of Infinity.
The threads of fate and Mana that he had perceived through Infinite Undifferentiated Fate became pathways that his existence could traverse. He did not teleport in the conventional sense, did not fold space or breach dimensional barriers or utilize any of the standard methodologies for rapid travel. He simply took himself infinitely across the strings, his existence sliding along connections that his Infinities had already established.
The Infinite Absolute Seals that stretched out across existence served as waypoints for his passage.
He passed through one Seal and then another, each one a marker along the infinite path he was traversing. Sequential progression carried him forward in Countable steps that occurred faster than conventional perception could track, each step bringing him closer to his destination while his forces followed through the connections he had established.
And then he arrived.
THE Wastes of THE Fallout spread before him with the familiar desolation that characterized this corrupted region. Proto-matter churned in the distance. Corruption permeated the atmosphere. And directly ahead, four entities of tremendous power occupied a clearing where conflict was about to erupt.
The Undivided One was massive.
Its form resembled something between a serpent and a centipede, countless segments of writhing darkness connected by joints that burned with obsidian light. Multiple heads emerged from its forward segments, each one bearing features that shifted between reptilian and insectoid configurations. Its authority pressed against the surrounding space with weight that Noah’s perception immediately measured against his previous experiences.
About the same level as Bazuman.
The three Formless Terrors were equally impressive in their own churning way.
The first resembled a vast amoebic mass studded with countless eyes that opened and closed in patterns suggesting awareness distributed across its entire form. The second had shaped itself into something resembling a massive crustacean, armored segments protecting a core of pure undifferentiation that pulsed with hunger.
The third was the most chaotic of the three, its form constantly shifting between configurations that included tentacles, wings, claws, and appendages that had no analog in any taxonomy Noah had encountered. It was an ugly fucker.
Their auras held similar weight to the Undivided One.
It was like facing four Bazumans simultaneously.
Enemies that would have required his personal attention not long ago. But for now...?
Perfect test subjects!
Noah did not engage them personally.
He simply waved his hand and called out the Tetras Apeiron.
The space behind him erupted with authority that pressed against THE Wastes with weight exceeding anything the four enemies had produced. Protos emerged first, the Primus Inevitability’s massive tentacled form blazing with crimson blue-gold light that cast long shadows across the corrupted ground. Behind Protos came the others.
One hundred Infinite Bulwarks materialized in layered formations, their crystalline plates of obsidian-gold shifting with subtle movements that stabilized reality around them.
One hundred Hungering Maws appeared with tentacles writhing in barely contained aggression, their serrated maws releasing wisps of pure Hunger that made the very air seem edible.
One hundred Vital Chorus manifested with green-gold-blue light pulsing in mandala patterns that spoke of preservation and resurrection.
One hundred Architects of Infinity emerged amid clouds of geometric shapes and orbiting instruments, their eyes streaming with data and architectural schematics.
Four hundred Absolutes with Bounded Countable Infinity burning in their foundations, each one a titan of coiled tentacles and tremendous authority, each one serving the will of THE Youngest with loyalty beyond question.
The Undivided One and the three Formless Terrors froze in their preparations for mutual conflict.
Their primitive awareness processed what had just appeared before them, and for perhaps the first time in their ancient existences, something approaching hesitation crossed their churning forms. They were creatures of undifferentiation, beings that had existed since before most life had emerged, entities that had consumed countless victims across eons of hunting.
But what the hell was this?
Four hundred Absolutes appearing from nowhere, summoned by a single humanoid figure who stood among them with expression that held no concern, no urgency, no indication that he considered this confrontation anything other than routine!
Noah looked at the four entities with eyes that burned with blue-gold Infinity.
"This is a test."
His voice pressed against THE Wastes with authority that made even the corrupted proto-matter seem to pause.
"Do your best to persevere."
...!
He said such words to an Undivided One and three Formless Terrors as if they were students being evaluated rather than ancient horrors that had terrorized existence since before THE Infinite Unfurling.
These beings knew no fear.
They looked toward the small army of Absolutes and responded with the only language they understood.
Violence.
The three Formless Terrors moved in conjunction with coordination that spoke of either instinct or communication too subtle for external perception. The amoebic mass with countless eyes expanded outward, its form spreading across the battlefield while releasing seas of crimson Undifferentiation that flowed toward Noah’s forces like tides seeking to dissolve everything in their path. The crustacean-configured Terror added its own authority to the assault, armored segments opening to release waves of corruption that merged with the crimson seas. The constantly shifting Terror contributed chaos to the combination, its unstable form producing undifferentiation that flickered between states in ways that made prediction impossible.
The seas of crimson Undifferentiation spread across THE Wastes with hunger that had consumed civilizations.
And the Undivided One responded with its own assault.
Its multiple heads opened simultaneously, and from each throat emerged an obsidian pillar of undifferentiation that shot upward before splitting and dividing and multiplying. One pillar became ten. Ten became a hundred. A hundred became thousands. Millions of obsidian pillars clouded THE Wastes within moments, each one carrying authority that could unmake Absolutes through sustained contact, each one seeking targets with primitive hunger that knew only consumption.
The combined assault would have devastated conventional forces!
The combined assault would have required careful strategy and significant losses to overcome!
But...
Noah calmly waved his hand.
The Infinite Bulwarks stepped forth.
One hundred titans of crystalline plates and layered tentacles moved in perfect synchronization, their forms shifting from scattered positions into a unified wall that stretched across the battlefield. Their silver eyes glowed with steady light as they linked their defensive authorities along geodesic paths, each Bulwark connecting to the ones beside it until their individual protections merged into singular expression.
The seas of crimson Undifferentiation struck the wall of Bulwarks!
