Infinite Evolution: My Idle Evolution System-Chapter 396: Achieving The Pinnacle of Entry-level Character Development, Invinci Body Rank
Number 8 of the Body Realms was later revealed to be the Adamantine Body, with Number 9 being the Platinum Body. The former was roughly equivalent to a Mid to High Rank GX-Rank Entity, whereas the latter—the current Realm Cassius was in—was the equivalent of the Late to Peak GX Rank.
In terms of the Ascension Tower, Cassius could already be considered an up-and-coming top powerhouse.
His body unbreakable and his Spirit infallible!
This brought up the matter of his Will and Trainer Rank, both of which had made major progress under the harsh environmental conditions of the nigh-boundless Supercontinent of Pathalon.
God Trainer Rank – Achieved!
Heavenly Will – Achieved!
Of course, both of these grand accomplishments could be partly attributed to the transfer of experiences that the Sword God bestowed upon him in the Humanity Ascension Tower. That, and hundreds of years of discovering new and profound ways to torture himself.
Then there was his Demon King Cultivation, which had officially broken through the Demon Overlord Rank, putting him one step closer to the level of the Three Great Demon Kings!
A True Powerhouse he had become!
But one could never be strong enough. And seeing how there were likely dozens—possibly even hundreds—in the Ascension Tower far more powerful than him, he still had a long way to go.
The incomprehensible visage of the Heavenly Progenitor still hung heavily on his mind, for Cassius knew without a doubt that even the current version of him could be permanently erased with a single breath from such an existence…
He was nowhere near powerful enough.
But with the passing of time, many things could change. Entire civilizations could fall and rise…
— An unknown number of years later —
The Supercontinent of Pathalon was a very dangerous and perilous place. It was split into thirteen Main Regions, each larger than galaxies, and all filled with threats that could temper the will and likelihood of survival of even the strongest of Godlike Rank Entities.
For many years, Cassius had been charting this expansive world, digging out any forms of Character Development he could find. No matter how much pain he had to endure, he endured it for the sole sake of progression.
One might claim him to be an unparalleled genius of the Body Path due to how quickly he ascended its ranks, but in truth, he was simply the hardest working.
See a pit of lava that enhances one's body at the cost of excruciating amounts of pain? Obviously, you should jump straight in!
In order to advance, you had to submerge yourself in a bottomless sea at millions of times the normal gravity!? Cassius wasted no time in taking on the challenge!
[My baby boy has really grown up… ಥ╭╮ಥ]
Ignoring his System, Cassius positioned himself atop the tallest mountain peak in the world. Almost everything there was in this Dimension could be seen from up here, and it came as quite the surreal experience for him.
"It has been so long since I've been outside this world," he mused. "I've already achieved the 10th and final Body Path Rank of Invinci Body, and now I'm left yearning for something more. A new itch to scratch."
Just then:
*Ding!*
[After conquering the entirety of the Entry-level Infinite Character Development Dimension, you have fulfilled one of the prerequisites necessary to evolve this Personal Dimension of yours!]
"???"
[What? You didn't actually believe your Character Development would end with a meagre few centuries' worth of torture, did you? ( ・ั﹏・ั)]
Silence…
Cassius should've known better. His System was, after all, called the 'Infinite' Idle Evolution System.
"But what of the other prerequisites?" he asked. "You mentioned it like there was more than one."
[Naturally there is more than one! Although you have achieved the final Body Path Rank and seen all this world has to offer, to evolve the Infinite Character Development Dimension to the next qualitative stage—The Zombie World—you must become something very special.]
"What…?"
[A Cultivator!]
A Cultivator!?
Like a genuine Cultivator!?
But did those even exist???
[I know what you're thinking, fu fu~, but I'll go ahead and tell you right now that Cultivators are 100% real. They just don't exist in the Ascension Tower!]
"You're saying…" Cassius murmured as realization dawned on him.
[Bingo!]
[To become a Cultivator and truly begin the Idling Arc of your Character Development, you need to ascend past all conceived limits and reach for a higher plane of existence!]
[Calculating chances of doing so while still alive… Beep, boop, beep, boop… Ding! 0.00000001%!]
Cassius went silent, with his expression emulating the turbulence in his heart.
"Why even bring the matter of becoming a Cultivator up if the chances of me actually achieving that status are so astronomically low…?"
[Because it's fun to watch you squirm!]
The System had no filter whatsoever, and said whatever it wanted whenever it wanted to!
Sighing in exasperation, Cassius felt that he was getting too old for this sh*t. Compared to dangerous environments and torturous stunts, it was far more likely that the System would be the death of him.
"Cass?" A sweet and harmonized voice dripped into his ears like honey, taking him out of his reverie. "Where are we going next?"
Looking behind and below himself, Cassius saw a gentle woman of immense beauty poised very eloquently on the mountain-tip next to his. She was looking up at him with a warm expression that made even the mythical birds flying this high up sing.
"May," he said, with his expression becoming complicated. "Where is Master? Why are you the only one up here?"
May hovered a hand over her bright pink lips, giggling. "She has been mumbling about being so left behind by her Disciple in terms of strength that her embarrassment got the better of her in recent years. That was when she resolved herself to enter seclusion and break through the Platinum Body Rank; it has been 25 years since then."
"25 years?" Cassius parroted, slight astonishment written across his face. "Have I really been in seclusion for so long?"
Finding this even funnier, May took one final step and leapt up to him. Her soft bosom pressed up against him as she hugged him close. Snuggling her face to his arm, she looked up, and with watery eyes, pouted:
"It's been longer than that, Cass." fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
