Indestructible Body Of Vajra Of The Village Leader-Chapter 1354 - 1042: Revisiting the Dragon Vein Land!
No matter how glorious and prominent a person’s life may be, in death, what accompanies them might not be money, power, or beauty, but dust and earth — the eternal silence unchanging through the ages.
Even someone as illustrious as this Supreme among people, known as the ancient ancestor of the Human Clan, Emperor Huang, is no exception.
The only exception might be that no matter how times change, unless there’s a massive break in history and all civilization is destroyed, almost no one will forget this emperor whose illustrious achievements have left a mark on eternity.
"Unimaginable..."
An exclamation of awe escaped from Dongfang Bubai’s mouth.
Even though he was always composed and rarely moved by anything, at this moment, witnessing the vast and grand Dragon Vein Land below and Emperor Huang’s Skeleton, he couldn’t help but change color slightly.
The Demon Dragon’s massive body shrank back and forth in the passageway, nervous and wary, its emerald eyes locked onto the lifelike sculpture-like giant dragon remains below, occasionally letting out low growls, seemingly wanting to rush down but extremely apprehensive and fearful.
Jiang Dali was solemn, suppressing the turmoil of Dragon Energy within him, staring at Emperor Huang’s Remains sitting in the dimness below, waiting for a long time without receiving the task information he was expecting.
He had triggered the Class A Task "Origin of the War God Temple" when he had contacted the mysterious Star Map in the Underground Maze of Jingyan Palace.
One of the task’s requirements was to find relics once belonging to Emperor Huang or Guang Chengzi.
The task reward was to gain a certain amount of Qi Fortune related to the person and to enhance proficiency in the War God Chronicles.
At that time, he had thought about coming to the Emperor Huang’s Tomb in Lingyun Cave as a chance to complete one of the task’s requirements.
However, now, there was no sign of task completion being triggered at all.
Jiang Dali knew well that this meant he hadn’t yet found any crucial clues, merely seeing the Emperor’s tomb above the Dragon Vein Land was not enough to meet the task completion conditions.
"It seems I must go down there."
Jiang Dali looked at the anxious yet eager Demon Dragon.
He reached out to pat the short horn on the Demon Dragon’s head, sending a Primordial Spirit Wave.
"Is there a great danger down there? You’re afraid to go down?"
The Demon Dragon let out a low growl, rolling its eyes with a very human-like expression that said, "You are stating the obvious."
Jiang Dali snorted coldly and continued sending the Primordial Spirit Wave inquiring, "How great is the danger? Would it be life-threatening?"
The Demon Dragon snorted toxic corrosive smoke from its nose, its eyes disdainful, shaking its head, then, with a weighty roar, sent out a spiritual intention.
Jiang Dali immediately understood that the Demon Dragon implied "the danger below is great, but it can endure it because of its True Dragon Bloodline, although it needs to be extremely cautious."
"Alright!"
Having made up his mind, Jiang Dali flipped open his cloak, mounted the Demon Dragon’s body, and grasped its two short horns, "Take me down with you, we’ll face the danger together."
The Demon Dragon repeatedly let out disgruntled low growls, its spiritual waves intense.
It conveyed the sentiment that despite its straightforward nature, it wasn’t foolish; if real danger appeared, it would definitely endure it while Jiang Dali would surely flee first.
Jiang Dali chuckled, waved his fist the size of a bowl in front of the Demon Dragon’s eyes, "Obey, we agreed before, you can’t beat me yet, so I ride you, not the other way around. Now I’m going to ride you down there, sharing both misfortune and fortune."
The Demon Dragon let out a reluctant low growl as its begrudging assent.
Jiang Dali glanced at Dongfang Bubai, who seemed inclined to join him, shaking his head, "You wait for me up here, ready to pull me back at any moment. As I told you before, the Dragon Vein Land below has Dragon Energy so overwhelming that if you’re not careful, you’ll be suppressed by the Qi Fortune, leading to danger. Staying up here is best!"
Dongfang Bubai slightly furrowed his brows.
His gaze swept over the dark dust by the edge of the Dragon Vein Land below where ancient bones were buried, nodded, and said, "Be careful yourself."
Jiang Dali nodded back, "Remember, whatever you do, don’t come down!"
With this, he took a deep breath, flexed his arms, and as his breath surged, his skin and even his hair transformed into a brilliant golden color, exuding unparalleled strength and vigor.
He slapped the Demon Dragon’s short-horn, producing a metallic clang.
"Let’s go!"
The Demon Dragon lowered its head, growled in dissatisfaction, its eyes turning solemn, let out a sharp cry, and with a powerful kick, its four strong limbs launched forward, its long body whipping up a storm of dust and wind as it squeezed through a large Gate, charging downward.
In an instant, tier upon tier of ancient and awe-inspiring pressure descended like shackles.
Jiang Dali felt as though he had rushed into an ocean of grand and magnificent Qi Fortune.
A vast and indescribable spiritual impact assailed his mind.
The immense Dragon Energy force poured upon him, as if trying to forcibly pull out his internal Dragon Energy and freeze his body inch by inch.
Even the Vajra True Qi circulating inside seemed to be freezing, becoming sluggish, a familiar extreme life-and-death crisis flared up.
"Roar!!"
At this critical moment, the Demon Dragon’s skyward roar rang out.
Like a turbulent wave, it shattered all the suppressive and restricting Qi Fortune power on him, letting Jiang Dali feel a lightness all over his body.
He immediately consolidated the Dragon Energy within him and the restless Demonic Qi at his tail pillow position, suffusing his entire being with a terrifying aura where nobility and Evil Energy coexisted, countering the immense and terrifying Dragon Luck all around.
Looking again, the ground below was completely clear, rapidly approaching.
In the dim light...
A massive dragon body snaked majestically, ancient and desolate, its scales vividly life-like, its curved form like rugged rocks, exuding an oppressive and terrifying grandeur.
The Demon Dragon was flying towards the upper section of this dragon body.
Compared to this enormous, statue-like fossilized dragon body, though the Demon Dragon was over a dozen zhang long, it was only about one-fourth the size of this fossil dragon body’s upper segment.
The gigantic dragon body in the Dragon Vein Land stretched nearly a hundred zhang, the fierce and primitive aura it emitted caused Jiang Dali to instinctively feel oppression and heart palpitations.
It’s hard to fathom, how strong would this fossilized dragon corpse have been if it were still alive?
By this time, the Demon Dragon had flown close to the dragon head area of the upper dragon body, where the immense dragon head, seemingly frozen mid-roar with flying whiskers, came into view.
Jiang Dali’s gaze suddenly sharpened, noticing a hint of micro-light emanating from the tightly closed eyes of the dragon head, barely perceptible unless carefully observed.
"What is that?"
As Jiang Dali’s mind was filled with surprise, the Demon Dragon swooped by in a whistle, its mane dancing as it spiraled in the air, seemingly hesitant to descend and desecrate the dragon corpse, letting out mournful and desolate low howls before opening its jaws wide, inhaling some almost imperceptible micro-lights floating up.
Feeling a twitch in his heart, Jiang Dali stretched out his right palm, from which a faint Absorption Force burst forth, stealing away some of the micro-lights.
"Roar!"
The Demon Dragon waved its large head, eyes glaring at Jiang Dali, seemingly in rebellion.
"We agreed to share both fortune and misfortune!"
Jiang Dali retorted with a cold snort, eyes squinting.
At this moment, a message notification appeared on his interface, and he eagerly checked it...
