Immortality Begins With Internal Breathing-Chapter 234: Breaking Through The Encirclement (II)
"That little thing... I told it not to run too far, but it wouldn't listen. Now it's paying the price," Lin Zheyu muttered quietly as he watched Little Black dart through the woods. He didn't act yet, though. Judging by those three youths, their fight was far from over.
Bang!
Suddenly, Ji Qiming's fist struck Little Black mid-run, sending it flying. Just as he was about to seize it, Tang Ziqiu rushed up and intercepted him.
Hiss, hiss, hiss.
Little Black bolted once again, gasping as it tried to break through the encirclement. Yet just as it reached the edge, a bald brute kicked it squarely back inside. It tumbled across the ground several times before stopping, its small eyes narrowing as it searched for a chance to escape.
Chirp, chirp!
Suddenly, Little Black's eyes lit up. It had spotted Lin Zheyu watching silently from afar.
Whoosh.
Though utterly exhausted, Little Black suddenly burst forth with renewed strength and dashed madly toward Lin Zheyu's direction.
"Heh. Get back there!" The bald brute sneered and lifted his leg to kick the creature away again.
But his expression suddenly changed. With a sharp twist, he swung his fist backward in alarm.
Bang!
A dull thud echoed through the air, followed by the sound of bones cracking. The man's face turned deathly pale as his body was blasted backward.
Chirp, chirp.
By now, Little Black had reached Lin Zheyu and hid behind him, its chubby little face twisted into a fierce, menacing snarl. With a protector to rely on, it bared its teeth boldly at Lu Junyu and the other two in the distance, acting ferocious. Lin Zheyu, however, had no intention of fighting on its behalf. He grabbed the scruff of Little Black's neck and lifted it with one hand, turning to flee.
"Uncle Chan! Uncle Wang! Stop him!"
"Stop him!"
"Stop him!"
Three cold voices rang out at once, and several experts suddenly rushed in from all sides. But Lin Zheyu's speed was astonishing. After several days of improvement, his strength had risen tremendously. His blood qi power erupted, propelling him more than ten meters in the blink of an eye.
Swish!
Suddenly, two cold flashes of steel sliced toward him, one aiming for his neck, the other for his back. The saber force behind them was immense, pressing down upon him like a crushing wave. Lin Zheyu twisted his body sharply, relying on his near-perfect mastery of lightness technique to slip between the strikes with ease. Yet no sooner had he escaped their pincer attack than a black iron mace came smashing down toward his head.
Bang!
He struck out with the Barbaric Ox Fist, his fist glowing faintly black and silver as it collided with the mace in a booming impact. A massive force traveled up his arm, pushing him back two steps, but the attacker fared worse and was sent hurtling through the air from the rebound.
Chirp, chirp.
Little Black waved its tiny claws and chirped excitedly, as if it were the one who had unleashed that mighty blow.
"Quiet," Lin Zheyu said with exasperation, shooting it a glare. He swept his gaze around and found that in the brief pause from that last exchange, over a dozen powerful martial artists had already surrounded him. Getting away now would not be easy.
"How bold of you to interrupt my amusement!"
Lu Junyu strode forward slowly, his tone cold. Beside him stood two other well-dressed young men, each exuding an air of refinement and authority.
"Enough talk. Just kill him and let's get back to the contest. I was this close to winning just now," Ji Qiming said impatiently, not even sparing Lin Zheyu a proper glance.
Tang Ziqiu stood to the side, silent and detached, as though the whole affair had nothing to do with him. He seemed content merely watching.
"Will you hand over the Ink Fox willingly, or must we make you do it?" Lu Junyu said coldly, fixing Lin Zheyu with a frosty stare. His mood was sour from having his amusement interrupted. This entire area was already under the control of the Lu, Tang, and Ji Families, and outsiders were forbidden entry. Yet this man had dared to trespass as if none of that mattered.
Lin Zheyu ignored Lu Junyu completely. His eyes swept over the surrounding martial artists as he quietly assessed their strength, preparing to force his way out.
As expected of Wuling City. The foundations of these esteemed families truly run deep. Among these people, at least three are as strong as that Pei Family martial artist from before. Breaking through won't be easy, Lin Zheyu thought grimly.
Once he got out of this mess, he would have to properly teach Little Black a lesson. The creature was far too unruly. It was lazy, gluttonous, and now downright reckless.
"I just hope there isn't a hidden expert among them. Otherwise, I might have to use the Boiling Blood Secret Art," Lin Zheyu muttered to himself.
"Bastard! Kill him!" Lu Junyu shouted angrily, irritated that Lin Zheyu had completely ignored him.
This man was likely the Ink Fox's master. Surrounded by the combined forces of three great families, anyone with real backing would have already declared their identity to avoid trouble. All that talk earlier had been Lu Junyu's way of giving him the chance to do so. But since he hadn't, it was clear he was just a wandering martial artist. There was nothing to fear, then.
As soon as Lu Junyu finished speaking, Leng Chan and Leng Wang swung their sabers in unison, launching their assault. The two worked together seamlessly, so much so that even Lin Zheyu, with his superb lightness technique, had to be extremely cautious. It had been their coordinated strike earlier that caused him to slip and get hit by another martial artist. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
Swish, swish.
As the saber blades swept toward him, Lin Zheyu's expression didn't change. He activated the Golden Goose Technique, weaving effortlessly between the two attackers. Earlier, he had been focused solely on escaping, which allowed them to delay him and let another strike slip through. Now that he was fully engaged, however, the two could no longer even graze him.
"What incredible movement techniques!" Ji Qiming exclaimed in surprise. It was the first time he had seen anyone cultivate a lightness technique to such an astonishing level. Even those martial artists who had reached their limits and devoted themselves solely to martial mastery rarely attained such transcendence.
"Qin Biao, you go as well," Ji Qiming ordered the man beside him.
"Yes, Young Master." Qin Biao nodded and slowly advanced toward Lin Zheyu.
Bang!
With an explosive push of his legs, Qin Biao shot toward Lin Zheyu at incredible speed. Yet compared to Lin Zheyu, he was still a full tier slower.
A perfect opening! Lin Zheyu's eyes lit up.
Activating the blood qi burst technique, sixfold blood qi power erupted within him, and Lin Zheyu's speed surged sharply. He brushed past Qin Biao's side, and just as he was about to break through the encirclement, he suddenly veered, accelerating even faster toward Ji Qiming.
"What?" Ji Qiming's heart lurched in shock. He hadn't expected his opponent to attack him in the midst of so many men. He quickly retreated while two martial artists beside him stepped forward to shield him. Yet Lin Zheyu's strike was only a feint. Just before reaching Ji Qiming, he pivoted sharply and darted toward the weakest point of the encirclement.
Swish!
A flash of silver light sliced through the air as a chilling blade arced toward him. The martial artist's saber technique was formidable. Even with Lin Zheyu's astonishing speed, the strike was faster still. His expression was cold and merciless as the blade came down.
"Courting death!" Lin Zheyu's eyes went cold.
A surge of fierce momentum burst from Lin Zheyu's body as his blood qi roared and flooded into his right arm. His movement suddenly halted mid-stride, twisting sharply against inertia to the left as he narrowly avoided the vicious slash. At the same time, he unleashed the Barbaric Ox Fist at threefold strength. The sheer power of the punch made the swordsman's expression change instantly. He tried to retreat to dodge the devastating strike, but it was far too late.
Splat!
The massive fist crashed down with a wet burst, the man's head exploding in a spray of blood. Lin Zheyu's cold gaze swept over the remaining martial artists who had intended to block his way. Each of them flinched in fear and froze where they stood.
What incredible movement techniques that man has!
Tang Ziqiu watched Lin Zheyu's departing figure, his eyes filled with awe.
