Chapter 1473: Why Does This Older Sister Have No Face?

Fang Xiaotian and Fang Xiaohua had already begun to look forward to that future gathering.

Unable to hold back, Fang Xiaohua asked, "Big Brother, you're not leaving again this time, right?"

Fang Chen sighed. "I still have to leave."

The two of them immediately froze, their spirits sinking. Just as they had discovered they had an older brother, they were now faced with the fact that he couldn't stay in the capital of the Great Victory Dynasty. This made them feel deeply disappointed.

"I had planned to take you with me, but this journey is too dangerous, so it's better not to bring you along," explained Fang Chen.

Fang Xiaotian asked, "Big Brother, how long will you be gone?"

Fang Chen estimated, "Probably two or three hundred years."

"T-Two or three hundred years!?"

Fang Xiaotian and Fang Xiaohua were astounded. Soon, their eyes turned red.

To them, three hundred years was an unimaginably long time. Even Qi Refining Realm cultivators only had a lifespan of a hundred years. And those who had reached the Foundation Building Realm only had a little over two hundred years of lifespan.

"I know that might seem like a very long time, but the higher your cultivation climbs, the faster time will pass, until it eventually loses its meaning." Fang Chen smiled. "In the meantime, you two can continue your training at the Ping Yao Pavilion. I'll arrange for a few older brothers and sisters to accompany you and guide your cultivation. By the time I return, you might already be in the Middle Three Realms, and by then, you'll be able to live for over a thousand years."

"A thousand years..." muttered Fang Xiaotian in awe.

Fang Xiaohua instinctively remarked, "If I eat ten bowls of Yangchun noodles a day, how much money would I spend over a thousand years? Living too long doesn't seem so good..."

Fang Xiaotian suddenly looked thoughtful. "Big Brother, about these older brothers and sisters you mentioned..."

Fang Chen chuckled. "They're not your parents' blood relatives. They're more like my subordinates."

Then, Fang Chen slowly closed his eyes. In the quiet stillness, he reached out with his senses, connecting with numerous figures across seemingly endless distances.

"Transform Dao."

At his command, the figures instantly dissolved, vanishing into the void.

"Condense Dao."

Suddenly, figures began to materialize one by one around Fang Chen.

First, there was a middle-aged swordsman, Fang Bahuang. Then, a ten-year-old child, Fang Liubi. Next, a figure entirely black with golden patterns, Fang Pusa; an elderly man with a childish face and eyes like lightning, Fang Canglei; a general in military attire, Fang Yinbing; a young scholar, Fang Yanguang; a faceless woman, Fang Wushi; and finally, a thin and somber figure, Fang Dashen.

The eight avatars fully condensed, each a first-transformation immortal.

Fang Xiaotian and Fang Xiaohua stared in awe.

"Eight first-transformation immortals, all of them capable of fighting above their level. Still, their overall strength is slightly lacking..."

Fang Chen thought for a moment, feeling that it would be wise to have one person with a particularly high level of combat strength in charge.

Fang Chen smiled at the two of them and said, "In a while, another expert will arrive to guide you in your sword technique cultivation."

"Bi-Big Brother, their cultivation levels are..." stammered Fang Xiaotian in shock.

Fang Chen replied, "These eight are all first-transformation immortals, what you call Immortals here."

Eight Immortals!?

Fang Xiaotian was stunned. He couldn't even imagine that one day, eight immortals would be guiding his cultivation. Such treatment was likely reserved for the top families of the capital, those of noble bloodlines.

Fang Xiaohua, on the other hand, seemed less impressed with the overall spectacle. Instead, her gaze was fixed on the only female incarnation among the eight, Fang Wushi.

She curiously asked, "Why does this older sister have no face?"

"Xiaohua, don't speak carelessly!" berated Fang Xiaotian.

He quickly pulled her back and then bowed to Fang Wushi in apology. "Senior, Xiaohua is young and doesn't understand. Please forgive her."

Fang Wushi replied softly, her voice ethereal and serene, "It's nothing."

At the same time, Fang Wushi's facial features began to shift, slowly forming a complete face.

Fang Chen was momentarily stunned. Fang Wushi's face looked exactly like that of Fairy Yu's. It seemed his thoughts had unintentionally influenced the transformation.

Fang Xiaohua said, her eyes sparkling with admiration, "Big Sister is so pretty,"

Fang Chen cleared his throat seriously, then said, "Xiaohua, I need to borrow this pendant from you for a moment."

Fang Xiaotian paused for a moment. "Pendant?"

He then let out a bitter laugh. He knew just how much Xiaohua cherished that pendant.

He had expected her to cry or protest, but instead, she reluctantly took it off and handed it to Fang Chen.

She asked, her voice tinged with hesitation, "Big Brother, what do you need it for?"

"I need it to advance to the second transformation. It's a type of spiritual material," explained Fang Chen gently.

Fang Xiaohua couldn't help but laugh. "You're going to eat it? Brother always said I think about food all the time, but I didn't expect you to be even more of a foody than I am. But that thing is so hard. I can't even bite it!"

Fang Chen glanced at the Dao Sword Tooth. There were indeed bite marks on it....

Fang Chen smiled. "Xiaohua, are you sure you won't miss it?"

Xiaohua nodded. "A little bit, but now that I know Father and Mother are still alive, I'm not so reluctant. The next time I see Father, I'll ask him to give me something else."

Fang Chen gently patted Xiaohua's head. "Good girl."

He then turned to Fang Xiaotian. "You're a good child too. These past years, with Father and Mother absent, you've taken such good care of Xiaohua, keeping her happy and healthy." 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

Fang Xiaotian blushed in embarrassment.

"These eight will stay in the courtyard from now on," said Fang Chen. "You can still go to the Ping Yao Pavilion to cultivate, but it's better to keep a low profile."

Fang Chen tapped his forehead. "If you encounter any trouble, don't rush to acet—use this first."

He paused before continuing, "And when you encounter a stronger opponent, it's best to endure for a while. If you must, use indirect methods, so you can act from the shadows without being exposed."

Fang Xiaotian listened closely, his expression serious. To him, Fang Chen's words were like pearls of wisdom. He immediately nodded, imprinting them deeply in his mind.

"I'm leaving now. Wait for me to come back and take you with me."

Fang Chen smiled and waved, then turned and left.

The two siblings watched him disappear down the street, their hearts heavy with a sense of longing. For a moment, they felt as though something precious was slipping away.

But soon, Fang Xiaotian steadied himself, gripping Xiaohua's hand firmly.

"Xiaohua, Father and Mother aren't dead. We still have older brothers and sisters. We're not alone anymore. We have to live well and wait for the day we can all reunite."

Xiaohua nodded vigorously, her eyes brightening with newfound hope. "Mm!"
