Immortal of the Ages-Chapter 312: Prison Warden Primordial Coffin
Chapter 312: Prison Warden Primordial Coffin
As the Lion Duke and Second Uncle listened, the room seemed to darken with their dismay. They hastily said in unison, "Keep it down, will you!"
Their eyes met, sharing a moment of mutual understanding. They both knew that if they were to ally with the Sword Ruins, the situation would turn grave.
"The problem is, now that the eight hell alliance is blocking the way, that fox can't get out," Second Uncle said.
"No worries, the whole uproar with the Exiled Sword Immortals will eventually settle down. These folks can't stay in the Endless Netherworld forever." The Lion Duke had already thought it through. He turned to the War Princess and said, "Ill take you back to the palace first, then seek out Qing Ge to discuss this fox matter."
"Qing Ge? That beast is rather clever for a demon." Second Uncle nodded in agreement. "In that case, make it quick."
"This side is up to you. I doubt either Exiled Sword Immortal will frequent this entrance. So, we'll stay out of their affairs for now," the Lion Duke said.
"Understood."
At that moment, Qingzan had already descended with a group of people. However, they were all lurking in the shadows, encircling the entrance without rushing to greet the devils.
After bringing them here, Qingzan didnt bid farewell and immediately headed towards the direction of the Sword Ruins.
Back in the Eternal Sword Prison, at the eastern side of the vortex portal, there was a gigantic rift valley, as if it had been cleaved open by an immense sword from the heavens.
In the depths of the valley, the Withered Bone Keeper, Ku Xuan, Feng Buhui, and six other Overseers stood in the shadows, their gazes fixed on the entrance to the Demon Continent, their expressions shifting between light and dark.
"Still no news. I wonder if Exile Ling has reached Heavenly Land?" Ku Xuan paced back and forth with his hands behind his back.
Behind him, the decrepit Withered Bone Keeper sat cross-legged in a corner, head bowed, hands clasped, his long eyebrows drooping, his shoulders slack.
Though withered with age, their Ku Family cultivated the Deathly Sword Daothe closer to death, the more formidable they became. Where he sat, within a ten-mile radius, no grass grew; the once black soil turned ashen. Worms and insects, regardless of size, lay dead, suffocated.
The others, though not pacing like Ku Xuan, were equally anxious.
Suddenly, a streak of green sword light tore through the sky, piercing the clouds, transforming into a cold, green silhouette that appeared before them.
HUM! Chilling sword intent swept through, blossoming into green sword flowers around her, the ground where she stood crisscrossed with dense sword marks.
"Qingzan?" Apart from the Withered Bone Keeper, the six Overseers all turned their gaze towards her.
"You don't know anything?" Qingzan swept a cold glance over them. Her attitude made the elders frown.
"What are you talking about, my daughter?" Ku Xuan stepped forward with a smile.
"Qinglian and Xuxu are dead. The people you sent to protect Exile Ling... all wiped out," Qingzan said coldly. These deceased, her peers, each one was familiar to her.
"What? You must be joking!" Ku Xuan's world went dark as he spoke, his voice trembling.
Qingzan shook her head, somewhat exasperated. "Over the years, you really have lost everything in the Eternal Sword Prison. Now all you can do is hide here, gambling, unable to control anything, not even aware of the dead."
"You!" Even Ku Xuan couldn't listen anymore. His face turned purple with disbelief, as did Feng Buhui's.
"Tell us what happened," the seated Withered Bone Keeper asked, his voice as thin as a thread.
Qingzan, still respectful of her grandfather, explained everything she knew, including the fate of the Fu Longxiang, clearly and concisely.
"How could this happen!" Hearing her account, Ku Xuan and the others turned pale, their hearts torn apart.
"Exile Ling disregarded our relationship and treated Longxiang so harshly?" Ku Xuan's heart bled. Fu Longxiang was the grandson he was most proud of.
"It's all your doing! You are the reason Longxiang suffers a fate worse than death!" Qingzan glared at them resentfully.
"Hah..." The Overseers exchanged looks, their hearts a mix of emotions. They knew that Ling Chen was uncontrollable, but they hadn't expected him to be so utterly unyielding.
"Grandfather, I need an explanation," Qingzan demanded coldly.
"Explanation? It's simply because you were hostile towards Exile Ling, your intent to kill obvious, so he dealt with your son." The Withered Bone Keeper looked up coldly, his eyes like whirlpools of death, fixed on Qingzan. "In fact, you circumvented us, collaborated with the devils secretly, and infiltrated Heavenly Land to kill the Exiled Sword Immortals. You betrayed us first, and yet you dare come back to question us?" freewebnov(e)l.com
"You're deluded and beyond help." Qingzan shook her head.
"Since you've chosen to devote everything to the Calamity Seal Purgatory, stop pretending here." The Withered Bone Keeper bowed his head deeply, his voice full of disappointment.
"Fine then." Qingzan's eyes were deep and cold. "One last warning. The other eight hells are now united in their intent to kill the Exiled Sword Immortals. It's more serious than you anticipate. There's still hope if you turn back now. Continue this folly, and the magic treasures aimed at those two will fall on you instead. Not even ten thousand Sword Relics will save your lives then."
"Are you suggesting they're going to block the entrances?" The Withered Bone Keeper's gaze turned icy.
"They've already surrounded both," Qingzan said with a cold laugh.
The Overseers fell silent. From their vantage point, shadows could indeed be seen near the entrance to the Demon Continent. And the numbers were growing!
"Mu Tianjian and the others are like turtles in a basket. The eight hells and the Exiled Sword Immortals are at a point of no return. The moment those two locusts come out, whoever dares to protect them is doomed!"
After saying this, Qingzan turned her back to the group. "You're lucky, not being at the eye of the storm. I advise you to watch the show. Once the Exiled Sword Immortals and Mu Tianjian are dead, you can return to the Sword Ruins and continue your comfortable lives. Otherwise, just the matter of the Heavenly Mirror will be enough trouble for you."
With that, she rose into the air on her Sovereign Sword.
"Ling Chen must die, and the Calamity Seal Sword must return. This is the will of all Inscription Cultivators!"
At the entrance, the Sword Warden and other Overseers, including Mu Dalong, were huddled around the vortex portal. Their expressions were frosty. In the shadows around them, uninvited figuresdemons, devils, and other malevolent beingshad gathered, forming a large encirclement.
This was a severe provocation right before their eyes! The territory of the Nine Hells was inviolable! But now, they were helpless! These figures represented the might of the eight hells, sending a clear signal to the Sword Ruins.
"Dad, things are getting more serious," Mu Dalong said, her face tinged with worry.
"Heh, everyone's so panicked, it's almost funny," the Sword Warden sneered coldly.
"The moment he comes out, it'll surely spark a life-and-death clash. This isn't an assassination anymore, it's outright murder. What do we do? Bring over the entire army from the Sword Ruins? But what if the eight hells take that chance to attack the Sword Ruins?" Mu Dalong's thoughts were in turmoil.
"Something must have happened, scaring the eight hells even more," the Sword Warden said with a chilling smile. "This goes to show how remarkable Exile Yun is. He probably caused them some heavy losses."
"Dad, what do you mean?" Mu Dalong asked.
"We've bet everything on this already, and we've been winning. To back out now is to give up halfway. Better to bet blindly to the end, no matter what moves others make, just take them as they come," the Sword Warden advised.
"Right, right." Mu Dalong felt somewhat relieved and looked towards the entrance, murmuring resentfully, "What's with Exile Yun? He hasn't sent anyone out to report that he's safe."
Just as she finished speaking, the vortex stirred, and soon a burly, dark-skinned man emerged.
In that instant, hundreds of cold eyes locked onto Mu Daxiong!
A killing intent instantly clouded the sky!
But realizing it was Mu Daxiong, the murderous intent dissipated.
"Daxiong? Come here quickly," Mu Dalong called out eagerly.
Father, son, and daughter gathered together.
"How's the situation?" the Sword Warden asked.
"I dont know what method Exile Yun used, but before we could even act, all the Ku Family Sword Cultivators and Inscription Cultivators who went in were dead. Even the devils seem to have been scared off, fleeing in disarray. Now, the Heavenly Land belongs to him," Mu Daxiong said, looking dazed and confused.
"Are you serious?" Mu Dalong grabbed his arm, extremely excited.
"This isn't even the best part!" Mu Daxiong said.
"Spill it!" The Sword Warden smacked him on the head.
Mu Daxiong yelped in pain and quickly said, "Ling Chen was butchered by Exile Yun. Dead as a doornail, not a hair left."
"What! Ling Chen..." Mu Dalong was about to exclaim in shock, but Mu Daxiong quickly covered her mouth, his eyes wide, "Sis, keep it down! Don't let others know Ling Chen is dead."
"Why?" Mu Dalong was confused.
"I don't know either. Exile Yun's orders. He said that although this guy has kicked the bucket, he can still be of use, so we shouldn't speak of it," Mu Daxiong explained.
"Seems like Exile Yun knows what he's doing," the Sword Warden remarked.
"Daxiong! Go back in and tell him not to come out..." Mu Dalong felt the urgency, sensing people approaching. They clearly didn't want Mu Daxiong to go back in to report.
"No need," Mu Daxiong shook his head with a sly grin. "Exile Yun already knows about the ambush of the other eight hells."
"How does he know that?" Mu Dalong asked, stunned.
"Don't know, maybe he's got some divine sight! Anyway, he's a real Immortal!" Mu Daxiong said.
"The only thing that can kill a true Immortal is an even more terrifying true Immortal." The Sword Warden chuckled darkly, then patted his son's shoulder. "So, what does he want us to do?"
"Exile Yun instructed us to pull out of here, not to clash head-on with them," Mu Daxiong replied.
"Oh?" This surprised even the Sword Warden. One thing was clear. Yun Xiao was audacious!
"Of course, don't pull out too blatantly. Make it look like we're being forced to retreat," Mu Daxiong added.
"Got it." The Sword Warden now had a plan.
At that moment, the forces of the eight hells began to appear, with Qingzan among them.
"Opposing the eight hells might seem crazy to us, but you lot, opposing a true Immortal, are even crazier." The Sword Warden's lips curled into a slight smile.
Back in the Demon Continent, Yun Xiao hovered above the Forbidden Fate Volcano.
The devils were at the entrance to the Endless Netherworld, and the remaining Sword Cultivators were at the entrance to the Eternal Sword Prison.
On this vast land of the Demon Continent, only he floated alone! Next to him was a gigantic ancient bronze coffin.
"Prison Warden, come forth!" At Yun Xiao's long-awaited command, the ancient bronze coffin opened.
A violet Primordial Coffin burst forth, crashing onto the land of the Demon Continent!
