Chapter 320: Chapter 314: Nightingale and Rose 16

Josh calmly said, "That’s a good knife, but I’m not here to fight you today. I just want to ask you a few questions."

The butcher looked at his own hand with a strange expression and then at Josh. "Is this your doing?"

Josh smiled slightly. "Just a little gift for you."

She tapped the blade with her finger, and the butcher’s hand holding the knife suddenly turned toward his own neck.

A look of shock appeared on his face, his eyes widened, and he hurriedly tried to stop the hand with his other hand.

But obviously, his strength couldn’t overpower the disobedient hand. The blade had already left a cut on his neck, with fresh blood flowing out.

Anna, who had been lying on the ground and smelling the blood, suddenly rolled her eyes, hurriedly got up from the ground, sniffed the air, and finally fixed her gaze on the butcher, laughing loudly.

The butcher, hearing the laughter behind him, opened his eyes even wider, his breathing intensified, and his expression turned from fear to anger.

His gaze fell on the disobedient hand, or more accurately, on the blue bracelet on it.

In that moment, he seemed to understand something. "You bitch! How dare you collude with others to harm me! Just wait until I take off this bracelet, I’ll kill you!"

But Anna kept laughing, laughing so hard that eventually, the muscles on her face started twitching, her eyes wide open, staring fixedly at the butcher.

Josh watched the two of them, not giving them a chance to continue their madness.

She quickly formed a seal with her hand, sending out two beams of golden light.

Anna’s left hand and the butcher’s right hand flew uncontrollably and clasped together.

It was as if they were being dragged by two invisible hands to Josh, unable to resist at all.

Josh looked at the butcher. "Now, I have a few questions I want to ask you. If you don’t answer, this hand might just cut you~"

The butcher shook his head defiantly, trying to pull away from Anna’s hand.

Then he struggled to remove the blue bracelet, but no matter how hard he tried, it wouldn’t break or come off, as if it had grown out of his skin.

The two hands remained tightly clasped together.

The butcher glared at Josh angrily. "Who the hell are you?"

Josh didn’t even bat an eye. "Now, it’s me asking you questions."

The butcher angrily tried to lift his other hand to attack her. "Don’t test my patience, you witch!"

With a "smack," his other hand slapped him across the face.

The force seemed considerable, instantly leaving a large handprint on his face.

Josh smiled, though her eyes were icy cold. "You’re the one who shouldn’t test my patience, right?"

The butcher was so angry he panted heavily, on one side was Anna, coldly smirking at the chaos, and on the other was Josh, laughing with mockery.

He trembled with rage, his whole body suddenly swelling up like an inflating balloon, especially his belly, bulging outwards, while his clothes stretched elastically over the growing mass.

His eyes bulged out, the red veins in them resembling worm-like creatures writhing, thick and large, his body swelling so much it pressed up against the ceiling, threatening to burst through it.

"I don’t believe I can’t handle a few women today! This is a man’s world, do you stinking women think you can rule in my house? Do you even know who I am?!"

Anna’s face changed and she instinctively looked toward Josh.

Josh merely watched his inflating body silently, without saying a word.

The butcher stared at Josh, a hint of murderous intent in his eyes. He raised his other hand high and, from nowhere, pulled out a giant butcher knife, severing the controlled hand in one swing.

Blood instantly sprayed from his wound, splattering all over the room and emitting smoke.

"Aaaaaah!" Screams erupted from outside the door.

It was several players hiding outside the door, caught off guard and covered in blood.

The butcher’s blood was like acid, corrosive, causing smoke to rise wherever it landed on doors, windows, and walls.

Some blood splattered on Anna and the female ghost as well, causing them to roll on the ground in pain.

Josh nonchalantly shook her umbrella, with a hint of helplessness on her face. "Fool, did you really think you could escape my control like that?"

"???" The people outside stared helplessly at Josh’s unscathed back. "Damn it, when did she take out an umbrella?"

"I mean, where did the umbrella come from?" Liu Wei cursed, wiping the blood off his body.

Zhang Qiang, while healing a few people, complained, "Did she hear us outside and deliberately lure the monster over to attack us?"

Li Yue spat, "You think this makes us leave? Dream on! If she doesn’t want us listening, we’ll listen anyway, what can she do?"

Liu Wei looked at the berserk, mutated butcher inside, scoffing, "Just an E-level spiritual power weakling daring to provoke that monster? Really thinks the butcher is easy to deal with? Didn’t our team and a few others get beaten out yesterday? Overconfident!"

The butcher saw the umbrella in her hand, momentarily stunned, and was about to roar and send her flying, but his body uncontrollably knelt down, as if someone pressed his head, knocking it against the floor in front of her.

Liu Wei outside the door: "..."

Josh chuckled, nudging the butcher’s head with her foot. "What? Surrendering so quickly?"

The butcher looked at her wide-eyed in disbelief. "How is this possible?!"

Thin blue lines subtly wrapped around his neck, hands, and knees.

Josh rubbed his face with her foot. "Why don’t you lift your head and look at me? Hit me a couple more times? Don’t want to?"

The butcher roared, veins popping out all over his body, yet he couldn’t break free from her foot.

Josh smiled, taking the butcher knife from his hand, flicking the blade with her finger. "Pretty sharp."

The butcher listened to her light tone, feeling goosebumps rise on his back. He panicked and quickly said, "Aren’t you going to ask me questions?! I can answer now! Don’t kill me! Don’t kill me!"

"But I don’t want to hear from you right now." Josh tapped the knife on his lips, signaling him to be quiet, then turned to Anna. "I think you might be willing to answer my questions."

Before Anna could speak, Josh added, "Answer one question, and I’ll let you stab him once."

The butcher laughed first. "You think she’ll stab me? Do you know how much she loves me? She’s my wife! My wife would never lay a hand on me, she wouldn’t, she wouldn’t dare!"

Josh looked at him and suddenly smiled, "Really? Why do you think your wife wouldn’t dare to defy you?"

The butcher sneered, "I’ve already beaten her into submission; she’s a coward through and through, she wouldn’t dare lay a hand on me."
