Immortal God of War-Chapter 127: Revenge_1
Chapter 127: Chapter 127: Revenge_1
Elder He and another elder went to discuss with the Chief Hall Master, but no one knew the outcome of their discussion. The Chief Hall Master also did not make an appearance, adding to the mystery.
Luo Xiong, after obtaining the Elixir Flame, did not immediately leave Yan City. Instead, he found Fatty. Knowing Fatty had a good relationship with Qin Feiyang, Luo Xiong wanted Fatty to help persuade Qin Feiyang on his behalf. Upon learning the full story, Fatty readily agreed. However, as soon as Luo Xiong left, Fatty sneaked out of the Elixir King Palace and even instigated Lu Hong to help spread the news.
Without a doubt, the news instantly spread like wildfire throughout Yan City, triggering a great uproar.
「The reception hall!」
Lu Hong frowned. "If we do this, won’t it harm Jian Haotian?"
"No," Fatty said, waving his hand with a sly grin. "We’re just helping him get famous."
"But..." Lu Hong began.
"No more ’buts’. You’re already on this pirate ship; it’s hard to get off now," Fatty chuckled mischievously.
"You bastard! I knew you were up to no good!" Lu Hong, infuriated, tried to slap him.
Fatty swiftly dodged.
"Hey, don’t be like that!" Fatty said earnestly. "You don’t understand Brother Jian. He definitely won’t let this matter rest."
"When he comes out, he’ll surely make a big move and thoroughly embarrass the Elixir King Palace."
"We’re just paving the way for him now."
"Paving the way?" Lu Hong echoed, startled and bewildered.
Fatty sneered. "Once this news spreads and everyone knows about it, won’t slapping them in the face be even more explosive and effective?"
Hearing this, Lu Hong’s face twitched. She looked at Fatty strangely and reminded him, "Don’t forget, you’re also a disciple of the Elixir King Palace now."
"Tsk!" Fatty scoffed disdainfully. "If the Elixir King Palace is full of such shameless scoundrels, Master Fatty would rather roam the world with Brother Jian."
"You might have that courage, but I don’t," Lu Hong said, shaking her head.
Fatty scoffed contemptuously. "Pathetic! Let Master Fatty tell you something: following Brother Jian offers a much better future than sticking with the Elixir King Palace."
"Keep dreaming!" Lu Hong retorted, rolling her eyes.
"Dreaming?" Fatty paused, then shook his head. "You woman, you really have no discernment. Brother Jian’s dagger and that treasure of his that allows him to hide anywhere—are those ordinary items?"
Lu Hong’s pupils contracted. Fatty’s reminder made her recall something important. Back at Eagle Claw Peak, they had hidden inside that treasure, yet Zuo An, who was right outside, hadn’t detected them at all. This proved that the treasure was even more formidable than an Eight-star War Emperor. How could someone possessing such a treasure be ordinary?
"Master Fatty has said all that needs to be said. What you do is your decision," Fatty said, grinning as he turned to leave. "But Master Fatty genuinely advises you: don’t ever betray Brother Jian. You know what Brother Jian is capable of. The consequences... Heh, Master Fatty doesn’t need to spell it out; you understand them very well."
Lu Hong returned to her seat and lowered her head, lost in thought.
「At daybreak.」
Ling Yunfei also received the news and was instantly furious. Scoundrels! Qin Feiyang worked so hard to obtain the Netherworld Demon Flame. What right do those old bastards from the Elixir King Palace have to make him hand it over? How could there be such an easy deal in the world?
"No, I have to go help Qin Feiyang get justice!" Ling Yunfei resolved.
He hastily dashed out of his cultivation room but was stopped by Feng Ling’er, who had just arrived.
After she closed the stone door, Feng Ling’er said solemnly, "You can’t interfere in this matter."
"Why not?" Ling Yunfei asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Because it’s the rule," Feng Ling’er explained. "Other powers are not allowed to intervene in the internal affairs of the Four Great Powers. If you go now, the Elixir King Palace will have every reason to kill you."
"So, I’m just supposed to sit here and worry anxiously?" Ling Yunfei retorted angrily.
Feng Ling’er replied, "You’ve known Qin Feiyang for so long; don’t you understand him? He never does anything he’s not sure about. Since he decided to fall out with them, he must have already planned his escape route. What you need to do now is cultivate quietly and not cause him any more trouble."
「Inside the castle.」
Qin Feiyang was currently quite troubled. The further he progressed with the Counter Curse Manual, the more time each step required. He estimated that the fifth stroke alone would take at least three months. Yet, with his talent, his existing foundation, and the Potential Mark, he didn’t even need three months to break through a minor realm. This meant that the Counter Curse Manual, instead of speeding up his progress, was actually slowing him down.
However, the mere thought of the Counter Curse Manual’s divine might made him yearn for it, wishing he could master it instantly. Therefore, despite his immense frustration, he gritted his teeth and continued to practice transcribing it.
Sure enough, three months later, he successfully transcribed the fifth stroke. His cultivation also advanced, reaching the Six Star Martial Master realm. At this point, a single punch from him carried the force of six Savage Elephants. Combined with his perfect Martial Arts Technique, it equated to the full power of ten Savage Elephants. In other words, his strength had already surpassed that of a Nine-Star Martial Master! He could instantly kill a Nine-Star Martial Master who hadn’t mastered any Martial Arts Technique with a single punch.
"In about five more months, I’ll turn sixteen," Qin Feiyang murmured to himself. "A Six Star Martial Master at sixteen is considered a genius in Yan City, but in the Imperial Capital, it’s still far from enough." He felt no joy from his breakthrough; from his perspective, this level of strength was insignificant.
I need to get stronger! And quickly! He resumed transcribing the sixth stroke. As long as he successfully mastered the Counter Curse Manual, he could focus entirely on improving his cultivation, and his progress would then advance by leaps and bounds.
However, one day, Fatty sneaked into the assembly hall, looking around furtively. Seeing no one else present, he whispered, "Brother Jian, Master Fatty knows you’re hiding in here. If you can hear me, come out for a moment."
"What is it?"
Shortly after, Qin Feiyang appeared in the assembly hall, looking at Fatty in confusion.
Fatty’s eyes lit up. He hurried over and asked, "It’s been three months. Why haven’t I seen you make a move yet?"
"A move?" Qin Feiyang echoed, startled.
"Aren’t you going to retaliate against the Elixir King Palace?" Fatty pressed.
"You know about it?" Qin Feiyang asked.
"Yeah," Fatty nodded, smirking slyly. "Luo Xiong told Master Fatty all about it that very day and even asked Master Fatty to help persuade you. He clearly didn’t consider whether Master Fatty is the kind of person to betray a friend!"
Qin Feiyang shook his head and chuckled. Truth be told, Fatty didn’t have many good qualities, but loyalty was definitely one of them.
Suddenly, an idea struck Qin Feiyang. "I’d like to ask you for a favor," he said.
Fatty sounded displeased. "Why be so polite? Just tell me what you need."
Qin Feiyang took out the Elixir Formula for the Vermilion Glazed Pill and confidently handed it to Fatty. "Help me find these medicinal ingredients."
Fatty examined it closely and chuckled. "Aside from the Red Fire Glazed Tree and Fire Ginseng, the medicinal fields have all the other ingredients. How many sets do you need?"
"No Fire Ginseng?" Qin Feiyang asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Fire Ginseng isn’t as rare as the Red Fire Glazed Tree, but it’s still not common. I’m afraid only the Treasure Pavilion might have it," Fatty replied.
Qin Feiyang pondered for a moment, then nodded. "Alright then. I’ll figure out a way to get the Fire Ginseng. As for the other medicinal ingredients, get me three sets of each."
Since the Red Fire Glazed Tree only had three leaves, he could only refine three Vermilion Glazed Pills.
Fatty agreed without hesitation. "Okay, but I’ll have to find the right opportunity. Master Fatty isn’t the only one in the medicinal fields; there’s also a Steward Elder stationed there, and he watches things very closely."
"Wait a minute!" Fatty exclaimed, as if something suddenly occurred to him. "Don’t tell me you actually have leaves from the Red Fire Glazed Tree?"
"Yes," Qin Feiyang nodded, then asked, "Does Ling Yunfei know about my current situation?"
Fatty looked at him incredulously. "Master Fatty spread the news on purpose, so of course, he knows! More than two months ago, he had someone deliver a letter saying he couldn’t intervene and hoped for your understanding."
"Where’s the letter?" Qin Feiyang asked.
"Master Fatty already destroyed it," Fatty replied.
Qin Feiyang smiled. "Good job. Jia Hei, Elder He, the Chief Hall Master—has there been any news from them?"
Fatty shook his head. "None. It’s as if they’re not concerned about this matter at all."
"They’re not unconcerned," Qin Feiyang sneered. "They’re trying to see who has more patience—me or them."
TAP, TAP, TAP!
Just then, the sound of approaching footsteps was heard. Someone was coming!
Fatty’s expression changed drastically. "What do we do?" he said nervously. "If they find out Master Fatty snuck into the assembly hall, they definitely won’t let me off easy!"
"What’s there to panic about?" Qin Feiyang rolled his eyes at him, then grabbed Fatty and teleported them into the ancient castle.
No sooner had the two vanished than two old men walked into the assembly hall, one after the other. It was Elder He and Jia Hei.
Jia Hei plopped down onto a chair, grumbling irritably, "That little bastard, how long is he going to stay hidden?"
Elder He smiled confidently. "Don’t worry. He’ll come out sooner or later. He’ll proactively apologize to us, offer up the Netherworld Demon Flame with both hands, and beg us to take him in."
Jia Hei sneered. "Even if he begs then, this Elder won’t forgive him. He must be thrown into the pigsty and left there for ten days to half a month!"
Elder He nodded. "Indeed. We must teach him a good lesson. We need to make him understand that even if he’s a prodigy in the world of alchemy, he still has to behave himself properly before our Elixir King Palace."
After discussing a few other trivial matters, the two left the assembly hall.
WHOOSH!
Shortly after, Qin Feiyang and Fatty appeared out of thin air.
"They really are trying to outlast you with patience," Fatty remarked.
Qin Feiyang asked, "Does the Elixir King Palace also have pigsties?"
"The pigsties at the Elixir Palace are modeled after those of the Elixir King Palace. So, what do you think?" Fatty replied.
Instantly, Qin Feiyang’s hands clenched into tight fists. They actually want to throw me into a pigsty! Jia Hei’s heart is even blacker than his name suggests! He turned to Fatty and said, "You should go back first."
"And you?" Fatty asked.
Qin Feiyang sneered. "You’ve been looking forward to this for so long. Of course, I can’t let you down."
Fatty’s eyes lit up. "What are you planning to do?"
"You’ll find out very soon." A terrifyingly cold glint flashed in Qin Feiyang’s eyes.
"Then Master Fatty will wait for your good news!" Fatty chuckled, quickly turned, and left, his face full of anticipation.
"I didn’t plan on making a move this soon, but you all just had to be so tactless. Now, prepare to regret it!" Qin Feiyang muttered.
Then, he strode out of the assembly hall openly and confidently, heading towards the main gate of the Elixir King Palace.
