Inspired by Ryan’s courage and more so by Adam’s powerful unequivocal vow another student stepped forward from the crowd.

He had striking blond hair that shone in the sun. He was roughly the same height as Eric’s current form.

His clothes were lavish exquisitely tailored from fine fabrics.

They clearly indicated his noble if not royal lineage. He was from an important family. He walked up and stood directly in front of Adam.

His expression was one of determined conviction. He had made up his mind.

"My name is Robin," he announced his voice clear and confident. "And I wish to join your group The New Warriors."

A slow satisfied smile spread across Adam’s face. He then issued a silent internal command. Millennia establish a link. Provide a Sub-System Window to every member who joins my group.

The [System Window: Millennia] appeared in his internal vision his mind’s eye. "[As you wish Master Adam]" it replied its neutral tone unwavering.

The moment Adam gave the command a transparent shimmering window materialized in the air directly in front of Robin. Startled Robin recoiled.

He jumped back a little.

His eyes widened in alarm. "Wh-what is this thing?" he stammered taking another step back. He had never seen anything like it.

"Do not worry," Adam said his voice calm and reassuring. "It is my gift to every member who joins The New Warriors. It will aid you in your future endeavors. It will help you become stronger."

Robin looked at the transparent system window floating before him. Words formed from faint glowing light appeared on its surface. The words were visible only to him. No one else could see them.

[Host: Robin]

[I have been assigned to your service. I can enhance your strength and guide you on your future path.]

Robin stared at the message completely astounded. He looked from the strange floating window to Adam and then back again. His mind was reeling with the implications of this. What kind of power was this?

Ryan who had been watching from the side was quite surprised to see the sudden wide-eyed and now slightly smiling expression on Robin’s face.

Ryan couldn’t see the window himself so he didn’t know what Robin was looking at. He just saw Robin’s strange reaction.

Adam then extended his hand. Instantly similar transparent system windows materialized in front of Void Kado and Ryan. One appeared for each of them.

All three of them were taken aback. They were all surprised.

Void stared at the window his initial surprise quickly morphing into an intense analytical curiosity. I must confirm this, he thought his gaze darting to Adam. Is Eric truly hosting a Spirit? This... this ability to grant such a thing to others... only a Spirit should be capable of doing something like this. His suspicion was growing stronger.

Kado and Ryan were equally bewildered. They were staring at the message appearing before them. It was identical to the one Robin had just received.

The promise of enhanced strength and personal guidance was a staggering almost unbelievable gift. They had never heard of such a thing. They didn’t know how to react.

Seeing the effect seeing the confidence this strange magical gift inspired in the first few members a ripple of excitement and a new wave of resolve went through the crowd of first-years.

One by one more students began to step forward.

They had seen the reactions of the first few who had joined.

They wanted that gift too. And as each one declared their intention to join The New Warriors a system window would materialize before them.

This sealed their allegiance to Adam. And it solidified their hope for a better future in the Academy.

After some time Adam looked at the growing number of students now standing behind him.

A significant portion of the entire first-year class had chosen to join his new faction.

They had chosen to stand with him. He then turned his gaze to the remaining students.

These were the ones who still hesitated their faces a mask of fear and indecision. They were still too scared to defy the old system.

"So," Adam said his voice carrying across the courtyard "have all of you decided that you will not be joining my group The New Warriors?"

From the remaining group of undecided students one boy stepped forward. He was tall and broadly built with dark black hair.

His clothes were of a very fine quality marking him as a high-ranking noble from a powerful family. He walked forward his expression one of open contempt a look of disgust.

"My name is Lo," he declared his voice loud and arrogant.

"I am from a noble family in the Roland Kingdom. And I would rather die than join this pathetic group of yours filled with commoners and weaklings." His words were meant to hurt.

He then turned his back on Adam and addressed the other hesitant students the ones who were still afraid to choose.

"Do you all really trust this man?" he sneered gesturing dismissively towards Adam.

"Do you really want to entrust your lives to him to this nobody from Estoria? He has made enemies of all the upperclassmen on his first day. Do you think he can truly protect you?"

His words filled with scorn and doubt struck a chord with the already fearful students. Their earlier nascent hope the little bit of courage they had started to feel began to waver.

It was replaced once again by confusion and uncertainty.

They looked from Lo’s confident arrogant face to Adam’s calm unreadable expression. They were unsure of what to do unsure of who to believe.

The courtyard was once again plunged into a tense uncertain silence. Lo’s words had planted a seed of doubt in their hearts.
