I'm an Extra, so What?-Chapter 18: Found
Chapter 18 - Found
Without a moment's hesitation, Luka's fingers moved like a blur, faster than the normal human eye could follow.
He tapped on both of the skills he had set his sights on—Hunter's Step and Survivalist.
A wide, almost feral grin stretched across his face as excitement surged through him.
There was no doubt, no second-guessing.
These were the ones.
The moment his decision was made, another system window flickered before Luka's eyes.

Luka didn't even take a second look.
He pressed Yes without a second thought. At the same time he swiped away the system windows.
[Congratulations, you have learned the skills Hunter's Step and Survivalist!]
The moment Luka confirmed his choice, a strange yet exhilarating sensation spread through his body.
His legs felt lighter, almost weightless, as if he were gliding rather than walking.
Each step carried him farther, faster, yet without the slightest strain.
There was no pressure on his feet, no discomfort—just effortless motion.
It was as if he were walking on clouds, completely untethered by fatigue or resistance.
"This... this is incredible," Luka murmured under his breath, a small, satisfied smile forming on his lips.
His movements were fluid, natural, and efficient, covering more ground than ever before.
Before long, he reached the dirt road and turned onto it without breaking stride.
The game-like world around him was quiet, bathed in the cool glow of the moon.
Stars dotted the sky, their distant light casting a soft radiance over the landscape.
The night was still, with no signs of life or activity—at least, none that Luka could see.
He pressed forward.
It wasn't long before Luka heard something.
Faint at first, barely reaching his ears.
"What the—? What's that noise?" Luka muttered, slowing his pace.
As he walked closer, the distant sounds grew clearer.

Shouting.
Voices layered upon one another.
First one, then two, then three—until it became a chorus of urgent cries.
The flickering glow of torches illuminated figures moving through the darkness.
Men clad in armor, some on horseback, others on foot, scanning the area as they called out.
"Young Master!"
"Where are you, Young Master?!"
More voices echoed, overlapping in urgency.
Luka exhaled deeply, a wave of relief washing over him. "It seems I won't need to be walking any longer..."
The sudden commotion stirred Snow awake.
The little dragon shot up, eyes wide, frantically glancing around as if trying to process everything at once.
It was like Snow was saying, "What!? Huh!? Who!? What!? Where!?"
Luka chuckled, raising a hand to gently pat Snow's head. "Calm down, little guy. These people are here to help us."
Snow let out a small growl but relaxed under the touch, his tense body settling.
Though he stopped growling, his sharp eyes remained open and alert, fully awake now.
Not wanting to waste any more time, Luka stepped forward and called out, "I'm over here!"
The response was immediate.
Every armored man turned his head, and in an instant, they rushed toward him, swarming around him like a protective barrier.
Their voices overlapped in concern.
"Are you alright, Young Master?"
"Do you need food or water?"
"Let's get you home right away!"
A few healers wasted no time, casting their healing skills on him repeatedly, even though he felt fine.
The continuous flashes blinded him, making him feel like was going to go blind.
"I'm fine, just get me home..." Luka finally said, watching as they fussed over him.
He worried the flashes might scare Snow, but to his relief, the little dragon remained unfazed, curled up comfortably on his head.
"Of course. Here, let me help you."
Luka was gently helped onto a horse.
The rider in front of him, a grizzled man, gave him a firm nod.
"Hold on tight, Young Master. We'll have you home in no time."
Luka nodded back but only held on loosely. Clinging tightly wasn't his style.
'Yeah... I'm not about that life...' he thought to himself as the horse began moving.

"YOUNG MASTER!!!"
Before Luka could react...
Serene rushed forward and tackled him to the ground, hugging him lightly as tears streamed down her face.
Her body trembled against him, and her voice cracked.
"Oh, thank goodness... Grateful are we, for the Goddess Lucia, Lightbringer, whose warmth and light bless our souls, that you didn't get yourself killed!"
Serene continued.
"I was so worried, so, so worried," she sniffled, her already red-rimmed eyes proof of how much she had cried earlier.
Luka ignored her, as his first instinct was to check on Snow.
But the little dragon had held on tight, his tiny claws gripping his hair while his tail instinctively coiled a little tighter around his neck.
Realizing Snow was fine, Luka turned his attention back to the woman.
Feeling guilty, he gently patted her head. "I'm sorry... I should've been more careful. I was really foolish."
Serene didn't respond immediately, just continued sobbing softly against him.
The moment stretched on, filled with nothing but her quiet sniffles.
A few of the men nearby shuffled awkwardly, clearly unsure of how to handle the emotional reunion.
One of them finally cleared his throat and spoke up.
"Serene, we'll return to our posts. Call us if you need anything else."
Grateful but still emotional, Serene slowly lifted her head and nodded. "Alright... Thank you all for your help."
"Of course," the man responded before he and the others took their leave, eager to escape.
Despite being battle-hardened warriors, they were utterly defenseless against a woman's tears.
They'd rather charge into a horde of monsters than deal with this.
Luka's eyes gleamed for a moment, a spark of triumph lighting up within him.
'I finally know her name!'
This small victory felt like a weight lifting off his shoulders.
No longer would he have to carry the guilt of pretending.
He wasn't a scumbag anymore!
With a satisfied smirk, Luka exhaled softly, feeling lighter. "Thank you for looking out for me, Serene."
Serene, still clinging to him, seemed reluctant to pull away.
But hearing her name spoken so sincerely, her grip loosened, and she slowly sat up, wiping the tears from her eyes.
"So, you do remember my name?" Serene's voice trembled, a hint of disbelief in her words.
"I thought you were lying to me this whole time..."
She sniffled again, her shoulders slumping slightly, though the tension in her body began to ease.
Luka carefully rose to his feet, brushing off the dust and dirt that had accumulated on him.
He offered a reassuring smile.
"No, no, I would never lie about something like that!"
