"Sorry, Auntie. I didn’t come here to work today." Cecilia dropped the pleasantries, her expression turning icy as her red lips barely moved.

"Not here to work? Then what are you here for?" Frances could no longer maintain her smile.

’The Bennett family didn’t lack chefs, but she wanted an extra bargaining chip. Because Cecilia’s cooking was better than any of their chefs. If an important member of the Grant family enjoyed the food, there might be a chance for a marriage alliance.’

"Aunt Frances, don’t give her a hard time. Cecilia isn’t here as a chef today." Serena whispered discreetly in Frances’s ear. "Didn’t you see who’s standing next to her? That’s Hugo Grant. And Aunt Frances, Hugo is pursuing her right now..."

That one sentence said it all.

Frances frowned, her gaze shifting to Hugo Grant.

’She had watched that boy from the Grant family grow up. While she might not know him through and through, she knew him well enough.
