I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess-Chapter 55: Sudden Princess Carry? (edited)
Clenching her jaw, Lillian leaned to the side, dodging a narrow swing from a Catacomb Dweller before flicking her wrist upwards and slashing diagonally through its head. (2)
The shadows from the glow of her lantern danced and twisted around the spilt blood on the ground, seemingly appalled enough even to make contact with it.
With the brief spark of life left in its tenacious being, it waved its left arm at her, only for it to drop as she brought back her rapier, flicking the edge of it through its skull.
[You have slain a Savage Wretch, Catacomb Dweller]
She watched as it dropped to the ground, becoming replaced by another one that lunged at her, only to be stopped as Lillian stabbed the tip of her rapier through the middle of its bald forehead, piercing through its brain.
[You have slain a Savage Wretch, Catacomb Dweller]
Lillian pushed against her blade, watching as the edge of the Sonata of Revenge cleaved through the side of its head, freeing itself.
Lillian’s ragged breathing resounded—a drop of sweat running down her cheek and onto her bloodstained Chitinous Chest plate. (8)
’And here I thought we would stick together...’ She thought. Her eyes flashed with brief disappointment and slight worry.
Marionette had run off without her, leaving her on her own to face her portion of the horde.
Every now and then, in the far distance, she would hear cries and screeches echoing in the large expanse of the abyssal Catacombs.
’She’ll be fine... I’m not sure about me th—’
Before Lillian could even finish her thought, she tilted her head to the side, dodging a thick arm covered in a thick carapace, aiming for her head.
Stepping out the side, she unconsciously swiped her blade at the attacker, watching as her blade bounced off the carapace of a Catacomb Brawler that stared down at her from its towering height, twitching the muscles of its multiple arms.
She scowled, raising her blade and slashing at its face. (2)
The Catacomb Brawler raised one of its larger arms, blocking the strike with the carapace surrounding its arm.
Lillian stared, thinking about how unjust the situation was, ’What type of Aspirant gets overrun by a damn horde of Rank D monsters!?’
Lillian then watched as it cocked its arm back, shooting it out and slamming its fist against her chest plate, causing her to fly back a metre so.
Lillian rolled roughly against the ground, coughing.
The lingering feeling of the air forced out of her left her staggered for a moment.
Lillian stared down at her chest plate, sighing in relief when it didn’t seem to have any visible damage. (2)
However, she felt as if her brain was bouncing around and rattling inside her skull. Had she accidentally hit the back of her head against the ground?
Lillian’s vision briefly blurred.
’Brilliant...’ She thought sarcastically, clutching the handle of her lantern and the hilt of the Sonata of Revenge in her hands.
She then widened as the foot of the Catacomb Brawler appeared in her vision, falling down on her face.
Lillian quickly rolled out the way, getting back up.
Then suddenly...
"ARGH!" Lillian gritted her teeth, twisting her head down to her arms. (2)
Two Catacomb Dwellers stood beside her, their mandibles tightly clamped around her forearms.
Lillian felt their mandibles dig through her muscles, cutting through them slightly.
She felt as if they had already reached her bone.
"Argh..." Lillian growled, "Screw off!" (10)
As the two Dwellers continued to gnaw on Lillian’s arms like savage wolves, they then watched curiously as a droplet of water appeared before their eyes.
The droplet of water reflected inside the countless lenses within their compound eyes.
Lenses that held the embers of life and the tenacity of their being were soon blown away as the droplets carved a massive hole through their faces.

Without the crushing feeling of the chitinous mandibles around her arms, Lillian was able to avoid a narrow strike from the Catacomb Brawler.
Persisting through the pain that was brought by her arms, she stepped back, swinging her blade at its head once more, noticing a dramatic drop in strength behind it.
The Catacomb Dweller raised its right arm, blocking the strike one more.
It then raised one of its lower arms to the edge of the blade, wrapping its hooked appendages around it before suddenly pausing.
A thick foam began to exit its mouth. Its body twitched vigorously. Its thick, durable carapace scraped over each other as it began to spasm.
Lillian briefly widened her eyes at the sight, "Huh?" that was when her ears picked up the ghostly tunes resonating from the Sonata of Revenge. (2)
Its dark and ethereal chimes, reflecting that of a vengeful piano key, resounded ominously in their ears.
However, it sounded more like a blissful chorus in hers.
’Ah... so you’re finally taking effect?’
Lillian, without any other delay, released her hand from the hilt of the rapier, stretching it out to the side.
Water magically manifested at the centre of her palm, lengthening into a staff that sharpened at the tip—essentially becoming something akin to a javelin.
Gripping the long shaft of the javelin, she stabbed it through the head of the Catacomb Dweller’s head. She watched as it entered through its head—its blood mixing in with her javelin.
However, like those before it, it continued to persist through the lethal wound with admirable tenacity.
Dropping the rapier that was in its hand, it shot all four of its arms towards Lillian.
Lillian’s eyes narrowed sharply, clutching the javelin tighter—her muscles unconsciously tensing. (2)
Just before its arms can reach her, streams of water begin to exit through all sorts of orifices.
As it continued to be pumped full of water, its limbs began to lose their strength, eventually falling and collapsing to its knees.
Lillian let go of the javelin, reaching down and retrieving the Sonata of Revenge before slicing through the top half of its head, ending it.
[You have slain a Savage Gnarl, Catacomb Brawler]
Lillian breathed a sigh.
A tired sigh. (2)
Lillian then groaned as she watched in the corner of her eyes a Catacomb Dweller pouncing towards her from her side. (2)
Its blood soon splattered over her body, staining the blade that continued to be used.
Her rapier fluently reaped the lives of countless Dwellers who came at her, painting the ground and creating an abstract painting of death.
A deadly, sharp brush held in the hands of a tired artist, who continued to persist through the warning her mind was shooting.
Her body began to grow more and more tired.
The muscles in her arms became sore.
Her arms continued to bleed from the horrific wounds marring them—their numbers growing the longer she fought.
She needed to buy a health potion. She needed to take one to continue fighting. She needed time...
But... there were too many—too many enemies that refused to let her rest until she was overrun and devoured.

That was until her body suddenly became weightless. Her limbs dangling over her sides.
A pair of arms wrapped around her back and the back of her knees, holding her up.
Lillian’s weary eyes then turned upwards, staring at a familiar expressionless woman who had decided to pick her up into a princess carry.
