I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess-Chapter 53: Mana Realm? (edited)
Lillian closed her eyes, pulling herself in a meditative position. She then concentrated her thoughts around her Mana core. After a while, she felt her mind being pulled into it like it was stretching her body.
Moments later, she then opened her eyes once the feeling disappeared, finding herself in a blank world of nothing by skies and sea.
"So this is my Mana Realm..."
In everyone’s Mana Core, there exists a sort of realm based on their existence. Their past, present, later on—their future. This is the place where most things related to a person’s trait or element would mainly take place out of battle or use.
It is also the place where one can refine one’s mana.
"Y’know... I expected a lot more in here..." Lillian tapped her chin, looking around before turning her head downward, discovering she was sitting on the surface of the sea. (3)
’But I guess it would become more once I form more shells around my core.’
She then raised her hand and tapped her finger on the surface of the water, watching as the area rippled upon contact.
"Very cool..."
Lillian pushed herself up from the surface of the sea, watching as her feet didn’t sink through it. She then raised her eyes towards the great blue sky, "Man... how I missed being able to see around me... even if it was just a day so far."
She then began to wander around, still in wonder about walking on water like a certain prophet.
"I wonder where my Shards are..."
As if waiting for a cue, the surface of the water blasted open before her, shooting a pillar of water into the sky as two familiar items appeared in sight with another one beside it.
All three of these items were trapped inside a bubble of water, letting them float in the air magically as they lowered themselves to Lillian’s eyes.
The blade of the Sonata of Revenge gleamed as it saw Lillian.
Lillian smiled, "Ah... there you are." (2)
Raising her hand towards the rapier, she watched as her hand sunk through the bubble’s outer layer. She gripped the hilt of her rapier and pulled it out, popping the bubble.
After giving it a few swings, she let it go, watching as the bubble reappeared once more, catching the falling rapier and causing it to hover in the air.
Lillian nodded in satisfaction before turning to the new item within her arsenal. (3)
"The Carapace Chestplate."
Just like the carapace of the Catacomb Brawler, it was thick, seemingly heavy. But by what its enchantment goes, it was actually quite light.
The Chestplate was deep brown, segmented in a few areas for better flexibility and movement and much more armoured on the back like the shell of a turtle.
She reached her hand out to it, popping the bubble and watched it magically disappear before finding it appearing around her torso, over her uniform.
"It really is light."
She twisted her body around. It felt like her movements weren’t even impeded by a bit.
"Although it’s a bit bulky and only covers my torso, it’s pretty good. So this is as tough as steel, right?"
Lillian raised a curious eye with a smile, reaching her hand towards the Sonata of Revenge and raising the sharp edge of the rapier to her chest and scraping it. (4)
She then moved the rapier away and saw that the area she had cut was still fine without damage.
"This is definitely going to be useful... now how do I get this off?"
After tossing her rapier back into the bubble, she tried pulling the chest plate off of her, failing miserably.
"It’s definitely a thought thing, isn’t it? An interface is so much better..."
She mumbled under her breath, casting a thought and watching as the chest plate miraculously disappeared and was sent back into its bubble.
Lillian placed her hands on her hips, "Well then! This was quite productive..." She then slowly realised, "Ah... I probably should’ve used one of the slots for the necklace..."
She sighed. (2)

"Whatever... I’ll store it with the additional three slots I’ll gain after the creation of my second Mana Shell..."

Exiting out of her Mana Realm, Lillian opened her eyes. Immediately meeting the face of Marionette, who was closely leaning in towards her face.
"..."
Marionette’s intense stare, coupled with how close she was, caused a deep blush to appear on Lillian’s face.
Pulling away, Lillian stammered, "W-what are you doing!?" (8)
Marionette, pulling herself back and into a seated position, said, "I’ve been calling your name for the past dozen minutes or so. Were you perhaps sleeping?"
Marionette tilted her head to the side, "If you were, then you must take care of your sleep schedule better." she sighed, shaking her head.
Lillian’s eye twitched, "Says you, Miss "I stayed up and was almost late for the Entrance exam." You don’t get to lecture me about a sleep schedule." (2)
Marionette stared at her stoically before sighing. She then brought over the roasted limb before Lillian’s face.
"Eat. Before it gets cold."
Lillian nodded, wrapping her fingers over the greasy limb that was skinned off its carapace. (3)
"So, does this taste good?" Lillian asked, tilting her head at Marionette, who bit into her own. (3)
Marionette remained silent for a second before answering, "The meat is chewier compared to the Catacomb Dweller."
’Chewier?’
Lillian stared back at the limb, opening her mouth and sinking her teeth into it, ’This shit is chewy and bad...’ she frowned in disgust. (2)
Whipping out the salt shaker and salting it, she continued to eat it grudgingly.
After a minute or two had passed, Marionette spoke up, asking Lillian a question that caused her to stiffen up.
"So what happened with the two other Catacomb Dwellers?"
"Eh..."
Lillian slowly turned her eyes away from Marionette—a guilty expression spreading across her face as she thought back. (2)
"They disappeared..."
After a brief moment of silence, Marionette sighed.
"... How clumsy..." She said before biting into the roasted limb of the Catacomb Brawler again.
