I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess-Chapter 302: Second Phase of the Invasion?
Chapter 302: Second Phase of the Invasion?
{A few minutes before the Missiles}
[Marionette’s POV]
"I believe we have gathered everyone that is still alive, Miss Roselle." Testrie called out, watching as Marionette severed the neck of a cultist before swifly moving onto the next like a malicious shadow.
Once elegantly wiping herself off blood that may have stained her figure, the Assassin turned back, looking towards the dark-blue-haired girl.
She narrowed her eyes before nodding:
"They were all mainly second years, correct? What’s the current ratio between us and them?"
"Yes. To answer that question, there are more second years..." Testrie’s face darkened as she frowned slightly, "...Than first years..."
Marionette sighed, turning around and gazing at the group behind her, that were made up of three other women besides herself.
She looked towards a blonde girl with pigtails, who stiffened at her gaze and immediately turned their face away from hers.
This was Charlotte Dornez, a sound mage that Lillian had fought alongside in the Monster Hunting competition.
Her job in the group was to provide the location of moving entities in the building, search and sense other students, and lastly send and receive messages.
The last part was important for the next person in her group, who was Testrie. She was able to provide critical thinking and intellectual help for Marionette, who sometimes wouldn’t be bothered to help.
Next was a woman with long fiery hair. It was Lula Magna, a mage who handled the Element of Magma and was a key player in Millis’s match.
Marionette was rather intrigued with the woman’s firepower, intending on having her fight alongside her. However, she was rather annoyed by how many times the woman almost caused her clothes to light on fire.
Turning around and facing Testrie, she asked in a stern voice:
"What is the total people in this building, then, Miss Tyria?"
Testrie stared back before looking towards Charlotte, who seemed rather flustered by the combined attention from the two. Even more so from Marionette, whose gaze seemed to always scream danger regardless of her intentions.
"I-I believe it is around 600 roughly, Miss R-roselle..."
Marionette, hearing this, folded her arms before huffing:
"We lost quite a lot of students then."
She closed her eyes and began thinking deeply. Her thoughts couldn’t help but linger towards her father. Was he still here in the Realm? Or had he left with the authorities?
She then began thinking about the Headmaster and the King. Where were they in all of this?
And... Where was her Lillian...?
Her arms tightened around her chest as her facial expression became tense, causing the women around her to stiffen fearfully.
"A-are you alright, Madam Roselle?" Lula asked, instinctively standing in front of Testrie and Charlotte as they gazed at the Assassin, who had a rather frustrated expression on their cold face.
Marionette ignored them. She clenched her jaws.
’Lillian... Lillian...’
She then opened her eyes and pulled out her phone, taking a look inside her tracker app.
She was fortunate that her phone was created to be resistant to attacks similar to EMPs, albeit it was rather expensive.
But she couldn’t say the same for her tracker, for it would randomly lose connection to her phone repeatedly.
’Lillian... Lilly... Just survive for a few minutes longer, once I’m completed with ensuring these nobles’ safety, I’ll return back to yo—’
"What is that!"
Marionette, snapping out of her daze, stared at Lula’s finger that was pointing outside. Raising an eyebrow, she looked outside.
The woman’s finger was aimed towards the sky, more specifically, the rifts.
She narrowed her eyes, squinting as sleek objects fell out of the sky.
She watched as one of them shot to the ground, creating an explosion that caused a massive dust cloud to rise.
She widened her eyes.
The Cult of Jesters had begun to use explosives to further destroy the academy realm!
As more and more missiles fell out of the sky that resembled metal spears, she found a small dot in the sky shooting towards them with extreme speed.
It was... A missile!
Lula grabbed Testrie and Charlotte by the waist, turning around to run away.
"Miss Roselle, run away!"
The world seemed to slow down.
And before the missile made contact with the female dormitory, Marionette couldn’t help but have the image of Lillian’s face flash through her mind, smiling at her with a radiant look.
Her fingers twitched.
"Lil—"
BOOM!
***
"Wow... You look like shit, dude..."
Lillian walked towards her Beetle, finding its body even more blackened and charred from the explosion. It was even missing its horn.
Fortunately, it seemed that its protective shell had managed to keep it alive, at the cost of losing it, though.
Lillian listened to its distorted moan of pain that escaped from its mouth. She didn’t dare look at him in the eyes, for almost half of his face had been burned off.
She sighed, walking up to the Beetle, who was lying on his side and placed her hand on its underside.
Patting him, she flexed her fingers, turning him back into a glass shard and returning him to her Mana Realm for him to recover.
"Get some rest, Pal. Thank you for saving me."
After doing that, she shuddered as she heard the sound of another explosion in the distance.
She sighed, rubbing the back of her neck as she looked up at the sky.
She watched the rain of explosives that fell from the sky like thunder.
She was currently in the second phase of the Invasion. There was another wave of enemies after this, which would be the last one.
"I should get going..."
Lillian turned around before equipping her new shard, which took on the form of lightweight boots stitched together with silver threads that glowed slightly with each step she made.
