I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess-Chapter 293: Saving People?
Chapter 293: Saving People?
The Lady, who wielded her fate, was now trying to make rifts in her mental state! That’s why she brought her here.
Lillian’s eyes flared with anger as she lashed her hand out, sending a wave of liquid blades that wore through the cultists’ heads before moving in and severing their heads from their bodies with a liquid sword.
Blood splattered onto her clothes and the side of her face; however, she didn’t mind it. She had been through more than had left her more disturbed.
Currently, she was disturbed, even disgusted, by how much the Goddess of Fate wished to play with her life like an avatar in a horror game!
’And to think we were on good terms...’
Getting rid of the sword of water, she looked towards the man, her face darkening as her eyes trembled at how injured and bloodied he was.
This affected her more than killing.
She slowly pulled the sword out of his stomach, storing it inside her spatial storage before quickly catching him and setting him aside on the ground.
She then hovered her hand over his face before attempting to close his eyelids, failing a couple of times before getting it right.
But... It was mainly because of how shaky her hand was.
After doing that and giving another deep thought, she found that the wall the man was pinned to was actually a door.
Widening her eyes, she quickly wiped the blood staining the glass and looked through.
It was another medical ward, and it was empty.
She sighed, finding no one else in there.
As she was about to turn away to leave, she heard the soft and quiet sounds of sniffling. Looking behind the door, she saw a woman huddled with her back against it.
She gasped and immediately knocked on the glass, trying to get her attention.
Luckily, she was able to after the woman flinched and looked up towards the window of the door, finding Lillian’s friendly face with a couple of splashes of blood on it.
However, ignoring the blood, the woman immediately stood up and opened the door.
"W-where are the intruders?! And where is Terry?!"
The woman cried as she clutched Lillian’s shoulder, her voice shaking as she tried to avoid the blood that had already begun to coat the bottom of her shoes.
Lillian’s eyes shone with a depressed light as she listened to the woman’s cries.
"T... Terry? The man... with the white lab coat?" Lillian muttered slowly.
The woman nodded frantically, "Yes! Yes! Just before those intruders could kill me, he pushed me into... The room..."
Her words slowed, and her voice quieted as she looked to the side, finding her colleague on the floor without light in his eyes.
She clasped her hands around her mouth, gasping sharply and fearfully as tears flowed down her face.
Before her legs gave out, Lillian caught her, pulling her into a comforting hug as she whispered:
"It’s going to be okay now... He would be glad that you’re safe..."
And as she said this...
Ding...!
[Number of people saved: 1, Number of people not saved: 1]
[Succession Rate: 11%]
Lillian narrowed her eyes on the system, internally cursing the creator behind the quest, and she continued to comfort the woman. After a bit, they continued moving through the corridor.
Lillian glanced back, seeing the woman able to follow her, albeit extremely frightened.
Lillian could see that she was a student here instead of a staff member. And... Through assumption, she reckoned that Terry was the woman’s lover.
But she wasn’t going to ask due to how inappropriate it would be in the situation.
However, as she thought this, she couldn’t help but think about her own lover.
’Please keep yourself and my mother safe, Marionette...’
As Lillian wandered through the corridor, she was able to save a few more people, bringing the total number of people she saved to 5.
But... There were also some cases where she couldn’t save them due to them already perishing long before she arrived, causing her count of those she couldn’t save to reach 6.
She also realised that with each person she saved, it added 1% to her success rate. To think she only had 10% of succeeding in her objective, originally...
Although her mood had decreased drastically with the number of people she couldn’t save, that couldn’t be said for the people following behind her, who were grateful for her support.
Especially the woman Lillian saved at the beginning, admiring the white-haired girl’s strength as she continued to save more people after her.
As they continued to move, Lillian stumbled on another crowd of cultists. Except, they were already on the ground and no longer moving.
She hadn’t killed these ones yet, and... this was evident with how they died.
One had a concrete spike through the heart, and another seemed to have been devoured by some sort of creature before being regurgitated.
These were just some of them.
And the only thing that was similar about them was the fact that all of them were without heads. Whoever did this knew their weakness.
Lillian continued to move forward, checking every room she could find. Soon enough, she had managed to save over ten people.
’Why does this place have to be so huge...’
As she was muttering this inside her head, she noticed a light coming in the direction they were walking.
That was when she realised...
She had met another group like hers.
Urging her group to move quicker, she found that the group in the distance belonged to Doctor Medicine, who had amassed a group like hers as well.
Except his one was much larger.
And around them were monsters of varying sizes.
Medicine, noticing Lillian off in the distance, smiled behind his mask that he continued to wear.
"Miss Lillian! Glad to see that my medication and treatment worked splendidly for you! I see that you have saved some on your own?"
Her group quickly merged into Doctor Medicine’s.
Lillian nodded to the doctor’s question. And as she was about to answer...
Ding...!
