I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess-Chapter 155: Second Layer of the Forest of Disruption? [16]
It was dismembered.
Lillian stared at the neatly arranged part of the once intimidating Spider.
Its shell was torn apart—stacked on top of each other like bricks on the side.
Its legs were severed from its body—arranged in organised rows side by side.
Its blood also seemed to be drained and stored in several large glass jars.
As Lillian continued to stare at this, she began to wonder. Who did this? She then sighed and rubbed the back of her head. Already knowing who was the perpetrator.
"Marionette must've done this. I have to say... it really does look organised. We can probably sell this corpse off to the Academy for quite a bit." She rubbed her chin.
She then perked up, "Ah! I got a Shard from it, didn't I? Let's check that out, shall we? Let's see if it's a good toy or not!" Saying that, she opened up her System and went on to look for it.

[Item Grade: C]
[Item Rank: 2]
[Item Description: A cloak made from the Needle Prowler's body. It was a fearsome creature. An elite in its brood. Its species resided in low-visible environments and participated in ambushes in large groups. But this one was different.
Upon reaching a certain age of adolescence and enough exposure to Corruption, it cannibalised its kin and mother. Thus forming its third Mana Shell.]
[Enchantments: Enviromental Stealth, Durable, Spiky]
[Enviromental Stealth: Inject Mana into the cloak to be harder to discover in low-visible areas (fog, mist, etc).]
[Durable: This cloak is just as durable as the Prowler's exoskeleton.]
[Spiky: Inject Mana into the cloak to form metallic quills across the cloak's surface.]
"Ooo~! A very nice toy indeed!" Her eyes, who had skipped past the description, looked over the enchantments. Eventually, returned back to read it.
She then gave a shaky smile, "Ah... An elite... eh?" She gave a sigh of relief, "Man... so it was harder to kill compared to its own species?"
Her smile then turned smug.
"That means I am pretty strong, eh~?" She puffed out her chest, completely ignoring the fact she had help from her system.
She then pushed her hand out to the side. Manifesting before it was a cloak.
It was crafted out of a dark, leathery material with a faint metallic sheen, resembling the chitinous exoskeleton of the Spider.
The cloak didn't have any visible threads or weaving to hold it together, giving it a more armoured and even natural look.
Its colour, as though alive, shifted between deep black and a darkish grey.
Lillian wrapped it around her shoulders, straightening the collars, which were high and stiff. It completely covered her neck, making her feel protected.
She smiled a bit and nodded in satisfaction, "Nice!" She then placed her fists on her hips and got into a dramatic pose, "Now I look even more cooler!"
She then turned her attention back to her surroundings.
As she looked around, she brought her eyes back to the body. Now only realising something was missing from it. Something she should've realised instantly...
... It was missing its head.
She raised an eyebrow, "Huh? No way it just fell off and rolled away, right?" She scratched the top of her head.
She walked up close to it before wandering around.
Eventually, she stumbled upon a trail of blood, leading further into the forest.
As she got deeper into the forest, the trail of blood eventually stopped. And what she was led to was its severed head.
Well... what was left of one...
Sharpened rods made of narrow, grey branches from the trees, were mercilessly stuck through the Spider's head.
A couple? A few? The number of spears was no doubt numbering at least a dozen.
Was this Marionette's doing? If it was... she didn't seem to have any care about the blood.
That was because unlike the body—drained of its blood—this one was left to leak. A cold puddle of blood surrounded it, leaking and dyeing the dirt around and under it.
Not only that, but several parts of its head were torn off, and strewn across the ground. From its mandibles to the small, hairy appendages, and its fangs.
It was like something had brutally burrowed into its head, tearing it apart.
It gave this scene an ominous look. Especially so when...
"Man... these really won't come out?" Lillian tugged at one of the spears lodged on the side of its head. She then pulled away once realising she wasn't going to get it out.
By guessing, she reckoned that it must have gone into the ground. She shivered. If this really was Marionette's doing, what would be the reason for this?
She scratched her head, confused. However, her attention was soon drawn towards an eye on the Spider's face. Despite the onslaught laid upon it by a mysterious perpetrator, it was left unharmed and intact.
She raised an eyebrow and reached out towards it. Once having a firm grasp on it, she tugged, tearing it off whatever connection it had to the head and stared at it.
The eye then seems to twitch. It then mysteriously turned in her hold and stared at her. Its pupil narrowed on her with a glint of... Revenge?
She widened her eyes and stared back, in disbelief.
"What the—?"
She then analysed it.

Lillian widened her eyes. They then slowly drifted down towards the eye that then suddenly began to glow a worrying light.
"OH HELL NAH!"
With extreme haste, Lillian stored it within her spacial ring. Just before it could summon the portal, which would put her through into another Trial. She gave a sigh of relief.
She gave one glance at the Spider before walking back to Marionette. Her heart beat heavily and her breathing rapid.
She was by no means... ready for another Trial.
