I Was Transmigrated As An Extraordinary Extra-Chapter 108
Chapter 108: Chapter 108
Christian wanted to be swallowed by the ground right now as all he can hear was his heart heavily beating and crows cawing as if to embarrass him further.
Finally, I stood up and scanned the group—some of them were my classmates, others from different classes, all equally tired from the last few days.
"Everyone, listen up!" I declared, making sure my voice carried across the camp. All conversations stopped, and their eyes turned toward me.
"Since this is the last day of our exam," I continued, "you’re free to leave to earn more points or rest here until the time is up. Either way, it’s up to you."
I could see a few heads nodding in understanding, some students clearly torn between pushing their limits for more points or taking a well-deserved break.
Christian, still recovering from his earlier outburst, looked relieved, probably glad for a momentary distraction from the mess he’d created.
I waited for any questions or protests, but the camp stayed quiet. Everyone knew the stakes. Whether they chose to rest or push harder, today would mark the end of this grueling exam.
Christian, who had been sweating under the tension, finally breathed a sigh of relief. His knees had almost given out from the pressure earlier. Just as he was about to relax, Rex and Josh reappeared at his side with grins plastered on their faces.
"Way to ruin the mood," Rex teased, nudging Christian with a smirk.
Christian’s irritation flared, and he glared at them, ready to explode. "Where did you guys go?!" he snapped, his voice tinged with exasperation and disbelief.
Josh shrugged casually, not at all fazed by Christian’s outburst. "It’s your fault anyway. How could you interrupt their moment like that?" He rolled his eyes, as if Christian had just made the biggest faux pas of the century.
Christian felt his hands twitch, itching to smack their heads. "I was dying back there!" he hissed through clenched teeth, causing both Rex and Josh to laugh even harder.
Christian’s hands twitched, itching to smack some sense into them. "I was dying back there!" he hissed, his voice low but seething with frustration.
That only made Rex and Josh laugh harder. Rex wiped away a fake tear, still chuckling. "Yeah, and we were just trying to save you from total humiliation!"
"And you!" Christian turned his glare on Rex, betrayal evident in his eyes. "You were at my side a while ago, agreeing with everything I said! Now you’ve teamed up with someone else? You traitor!"
Rex raised his hands in mock surrender, a grin still plastered on his face. "Hey, hey, man! I’m just here for the entertainment!"
Josh snickered. "Welcome to the show, Christian. We’ll sell tickets next time."
Christian groaned, throwing his hands up in the air. "Unbelievable!"
While Christian, Rex, and Josh continued their bickering in the background, Remillia made her way over to where Whitney and Angela were standing. Angela had a determined look on her face, and I knew what was on her mind even before she asked.
"I suppose you want to look for Cypher?" I said, my eyes fixed on Angela.
She nodded quickly, her expression serious and anxious. It was clear that she wouldn’t rest until she knew Cypher was safe.
Turning to Whitney, I raised an eyebrow. "How about you? Want to come with us?"
Whitney shook her head, her eyes glancing towards the forest with a calculating look. "I need to gather points," she said simply, her priorities clearly focused on the exam.
I nodded in understanding. "Alright, no problem."
With that, I approached the three to ask if they want to join us or not.

Once Remillia was gone and Angela went to change, I wasted no time sliding closer to Edge. My heart pounded as I gathered the nerve to speak. "Edge! Do you want to join me and go hunt for more poin—"
"No."
His response was immediate and cold, cutting me off mid-sentence. Without even looking at me, he stood up and made his way over to Angela, who had just finished changing.
My heart sank, and I felt a familiar sting. ’Why can’t he see it? Or he’s just pretending not to notice?’ I clenched my fists in frustration. ’Angela clearly has a crush on Cypher, not him! I’m always here by your side so please look at me!’
I sighed, trying to calm the wave of annoyance bubbling up inside. I took a deep breath, forcing myself to put on a smile as I approached Remillia again. If Edge was going to keep running after Angela, I might as well change my plan.
"Hey, Remi? I changed my mind. I’ll join you guys," I said, forcing as much cheerfulness into my voice as I could manage.
She looked at me with a puzzled expression, clearly surprised by my sudden shift. "O-kay?" she said, drawing the word out.
I kept up my smile, masking my inner frustration, and marched over toward Angela and Edge joining in their conversation.
’I don’t want to see you getting closer to Angela, I thought bitterly, watching Edge move toward her. So, if I have to, I’ll just interrupt every single moment you two have together.’
Determined, I quickened my pace, plastering on my most innocent smile as I approached Angela and Edge. They were standing a little too close for my liking, and the sight made my chest tighten with jealousy. But I wasn’t going to let it show. No way.
"Hey, you two!" I chirped, sliding right between them with exaggerated enthusiasm. "Guess what? I’m joining the search for Cypher too! Isn’t that great?"
Angela blinked, caught off guard, while Edge shot me a sharp glance, clearly annoyed by my sudden intrusion. But I didn’t care. If he thought he was going to have any uninterrupted moments with her, he had another thing coming.
Angela recovered quickly, offering a small smile. "Oh, sure, Whitney. The more, the merrier."
Edge, however, remained silent, his expression hardening slightly. Good. If he was upset, that meant I was doing my job.
"Great!" I said, beaming. "Let’s stick together, shall we?" I linked arms with Angela, pulling her slightly away from Edge, making sure to give him a smug glance as I did so. ’Two can play this game.’
~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~
There were only four of us: me, Angela, Whitney, and Edge. The rest of our friends had decided to stay behind and earn more points before the exam period ended. I understood their reasons—after all, this was a competition, and every point mattered.
I didn’t care about earning points anymore since I’m pretty sure I’ll end up in third or fourth place.
As I waited the three at the entrance of the forest, I looked closely at their expressions. Angela looked determined, as always, Whitney was sticking a little too close to Angela, and Edge seemed annoyed but was trying to hide it.
’Great’, I thought, rolling my eyes internally. ’Just what we need right now—more drama.’
"Alright," I said, trying to keep things moving. "Let’s head out and cover as much ground as we can. The sooner we find Cypher, the better."
Angela nodded, determination written all over her face. Whitney, though, seemed less interested in the mission and more focused on staying glued to Angela. And Edge—well, he was clearly annoyed by it all, but he kept quiet, likely out of respect for Angela’s feelings.
We started making our way through the dense forest, keeping our eyes peeled for any signs of Cypher. The air was thick with tension, not only because of the urgency to find him but also because of the unspoken rivalry simmering between Edge and Whitney.
I sighed inwardly. ’This is going to be one long day.’
Not long after, we reached a forked path in the forest. It seemed like the perfect opportunity to split up and cover more ground, but, of course, another problem arose—both Whitney and Edge wanted to be partnered up with Angela. The tension between them was palpable, and I could already feel a headache coming on.
’Why does this always happen?’ I thought, sighing heavily.
I quickly ran through the options in my head, but none of them seemed like a good solution. If I partnered with Whitney, Edge would get have some alone time with Angela which Whitney would practically combust. If I paired with Edge, he would get more frustrated and probably blame me for separating him with Angela. But if I partnered with Angela, I knew neither of them would focus on actually finding Cypher.
"Argh!" I groaned, messing up my hair in frustration. This was not how I envisioned today going.
Angela looked at me, clearly sensing the dilemma. "Remillia, it’s fine—"
"No, it’s not fine," I cut her off, shaking my head. "We need to find Cypher, but this... rivalry... is getting in the way." I glanced between Edge and Whitney, both of them looking stubborn and unwilling to back down.
Taking a deep breath, I made a decision. "Alright, here’s how it’s going to go: Angela and I will go together. Edge, you’re with Whitney."
Before either of them could protest, I raised my hand to stop them. "Fix your issues with each other first." I grabbed Angela and pulled her leaving the two.
