I Try To Enjoy My Life But This Woman Keep Calling Me Villain-Chapter 173: The Calm Before the Storm (II)
|3rd POV|
Nathalia walks toward the Lord’s office of the Ulian City. She opens the door and can see four people inside the room. Lord Sarhakan, Lord of Ulian City, looks at Nathalia and says.
"Ah, welcome, Captain of Luzia Kingdom. Please take a seat. You want to ask me something, right?"
Nathalia nods and takes a seat. She looks at Lord Sarhakan and says.
"My lord, I want to request that you bring me and my men in this campaign against the monsters."
"And may I ask the reason why I should bring you?"
"You already know, My Lord. You know the real identity of the Six Stars Party member. Gwyndolin Alexander Cunningham is the leader of the party and the Grandmaster of Medicine of the Gipan Kingdom. However, the most important thing is someone called Hilda. You know that her real identity is Hildegard Brinan Luzia, the third princess of the Luzia Kingdom."
While Lord Sarhakan did not look surprised at that information, the other people in the room looked at Nathalia in surprise. They did not know that Gwyn of Six Stars Party and Grandmaster Gwyndolin were the same person.
They look at Lord Sarhakan, waiting for him to say something. Lord Sarhakan takes a deep breath and says.
"I already know about this information, Captain. However, I cannot do anything when the Grandmaster and his companion want to do it. The king already makes sure they are doing okay by sending some of his men."
"Does the king do that?"
"Yes. Even Lord Rezghi ensures the Princess and the Grandmaster enjoy their stay in our kingdom."
"Then why do you let them fight in a monster wave?"
"Because they want it, and also, they are our beacon of hope. Did you know that there are a lot of spies that make sure the news of the dungeon does not reach the lord? Without them clearing the dungeon, we will be dead by now."
"This did not answer my question! Why do you guys let them do it?!"
Lord Sarhakan looks at her with a serious expression, and his aura changes from a tired lord into a Noble Commander. His eyes get sharper, and his tired smile changes into a neutral expression.
"Why are you asking this question? Did you not trust their strength? Who are you asking this question? I know that it is your duty to protect your princess, but did you know you trust Grandmaster Gwyndolin? I know that he is the one who saved your kingdom from being destroyed. You should know that he will not let anything hurt his fiance. The only reason why I did not ask you to get out of this office is that I know that you are worried, but please remember that I’m the Lord of this City, and I want a little respect, especially when you are nothing but a captain of a small unit."
Nathalia looks at Lord Sarhakan with widened eyes before she quickly bows her head. She feels ashamed of her actions. Her king already told her that she is too headstrong and needs to fix that because her behavior can cause a political problem if she still uses it when she is in another country.
"I’m sorry, My Lord. My behavior has offended you. I’m sorry. I will not do that again. I will not make any excuses and learn from this mistake."
Lord Sarhakan nods his head and says.
"I forgive you. I understand the reason why you are worried about your princess, but please have faith, as she is a great and powerful woman. Believe in her and support her growth. As a father, I know the feeling of your beloved person trying to stand on their own feet. The feeling of them walking away from your embrace is something you do not like. However, it is something that they need to do. Just like how the bird needs to let their young leave their nest, as a father, I need to let them fly away from the nest. The only thing I can do is to support them from a distance. Trust them, dear. Trust them that they can make it, and when they fall to the ground, you help them stand up once again and teach them a valuable lesson."
Nathalia can only nod at that little lesson.
"Anyway, I will allow you and your group to join this campaign. However, I will give you an order. No... This is a requirement for you to join."
"What is it, My Lord?"
"I want you not to spread the information about the Six Stars Party’s real identity."
Lord Sarhakan raises his hand when he sees Nathalia about to say more.
"Before you say something, let me explain. At the moment, the world only knows that Gwyn and the Grandmaster of Medicine from the Gipan Kingdom are two different people. This is a blessing for us and for them. Not only will no one bother them to ask for healing, but they also fool the spies in this kingdom. The spies we captured did not know they were the same person and were busy searching for the Grandmaster’s and his companion’s whereabouts. Not only will this reduce the danger they will face, but it will also ensure they enjoy their stay in this kingdom. They are on vacation, right?" 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
Nathalia nods her head in understanding and says.
"I see. That is a good plan."
"Yup. Not only that, it also gives an excuse for the king to reward him for all the service Grandmaster Gwyndolin and his companions have done to our kingdom. That includes Lady Hildegard and Lady Silvanna."
"I see. The king did not want to cause political distress by rewarding a noble from another country, huh? However, by rewarding an adventurer, the other nobles will think that the king wants to make the Six Stars Party stay in the Verlagan Kingdom."
"Exactly. Not only that, but it will also soften the blow when they leave the kingdom to return back to the south. He has an excuse that the reward is not enough and can even blame the nobles who disagree with him rewarding the Six Stars Party."
"Because there will be a group of nobles who disagree on rewarding an adventurer."
"That is right."
Nathalia can only look at Lord Sarhakan in shock because she never thought that the king would have this kind of plan. Lord Sarhakan looks at her and says,
"Go and prepare. We will depart in three hours from now on. We will be arriving in Belltown City before the sun goes down."
"Yes, my lord!"

Nathalia looks at the massive fortress in front of her, and her mind quickly gets into the capital city of Luzia Kingdom. The only difference is that Luzia Capital did not have a tall tower that shoots out wires that can hold down giant monsters.
Nathalia and seventy of her one hundred and twenty soldiers come along with Lord Sarhakan to Belltown City.
As they get closer, they can see many people outside the city. Nathalia thought that there was an attack, but instead of screaming in terror, she could hear a cheer. As they are getting closer, Nathalia can see a massive creature in front of the city wall.
It looks like a crocodile but twenty times the size of a regular crocodile she once saw near Ulian city. Not only the size, the crocodile monster outside the city wall has a massive claw, and its tail looks like a spearhead made of diamond.
When they get even closer, Duke Itor looks at their group and shouts in excitement.
"Oh! Lord Sarhakan! You must be the reinforcement the king promised us!"
Lord Sarhakan nods and says.
"The king sent four hundred men, and I brought three hundred men from my city."
"Seven hundred people! That is good."
"Ah, we are not stopping there. There are also seventy more people from the South. They want to help in this fight. This young woman is Nathalia, a captain of Grand Explorer. She will be the one leading her group."
Duke Itor looks at Nathalia and her group before nodding his head.
"Thank you for coming, Captain Nathalia."
"Think nothing of it, My Lord. We need to unite when we are fighting against monsters."
Duke Itor nods and smiles.
"You are right! If only people had that kind of thinking, we would win against monsters long ago."
Duke Itor laughs a little and continues.
"Come! We are just about to celebrate! The people are already taking out food and drink for us to enjoy."
Lord Sarhakan looks at Duke Itor and says.
"What celebration? Is it something to do with the giant monster behind you?"
Duke Itor’s smile gets bigger, and says,
"Yes! What you are seeing is the Dungeon Boss that the S-rank Party called Six Stars Party beat not too long ago."
Lord Sarharkan looks at Nathalia and gives her a small smile.
