I Try To Enjoy My Life But This Woman Keep Calling Me Villain-Chapter 159: I Sentence You To Life
|3rd POV|
Amir Reza smiles a little as he manages to get hold of a wealthy merchant’s daughter while her father is busy flirting with his thrall, who he orders to distract that man. He is still angry at the failure of his plan, and he wants to do something about it.
He decides to take one of the wealthy merchants’ daughters and spend his anger at her. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
Amir takes the woman to his house in Lokah City and prepares to unleash his sadistic way to the woman. However, as he brings her to the hidden dungeon he built for his activity, his entire vision gets dark, and he loses consciousness.
The next thing he knows, he is tied to a chair and inside one of the jails he built with the woman nowhere in his sight. He looks around frantically and tries to remove the rope around his body to no avail. He looks to the side when he hears footsteps coming from the entrance to the dungeon.
He widens his eyes when he sees three people get inside the dungeon, and he knows who they are. He met them at the feast. They are Gwyndolin, Jullian, and Jonathan. He tries to scream at them, but for some reason, there is no sound coming out of his mouth.
Jullian takes a chair and lets Gwyn sit in front of Amir.
"You know... I like to think of myself as an easygoing person. I’m not easily offended, and I’m willing to forgive anyone who offends me as long as it is not too severe of a problem. However, you... You decide to do more than just offend me. You decide to target my family. My loved one. The one that I love the most. You decide to target my wives and daughter."
Gwyn releases a sigh and says.
"Do you know how life punishes people, Mr. Amir?"
Gwyn stands up and walks toward Amir, who is screaming to no avail. Gwyn looks at Amir right in the eyes and continues.
"I don’t like killing people, Mr. Amir. I respect life. I’m not afraid of death, but... I’m afraid of life. Life gives us everything that we know of. Life gives us friends, family, love, glory, pleasure, and sorrow."
Gwyn takes a deep breath and pulls the chair closer to Amir. If not for Gwyn’s spell and the rope around his body, Amir would be already spitting on him and kicking him in the nuts. Sadly for Amir, Gwyn’s spell makes sure his limbs stop working.
"It makes us who we are. It is the reason why we exist."
Gwyn puts his hand on Amir’s head and says.
"And to punish someone, it’s just... to take these things away from them."
Gwyn mutters something, and his hand starts to glow.
"Your sight is taken away so that you cannot see the beautiful world we are living in. You cannot see what beauty is."
A second after Gwyn’s hand glows, Amir’s eyes turn white, and Gwyn can see how Amir starts panicking. Gwyn mutters once again and says.
"Your smell is taken away so that you cannot smell anything. You cannot smell the fruit you eat, you cannot smell the perfume you wear, and you cannot smell the food you eat."
Amir tries to beg. He tries to make Gwyn stop whatever he is doing because he knows that whatever Gwyn is doing is working, and he starts losing his senses one by one.
"Your taste is taken away, so you never enjoy the food you eat. You never know what is poison and what is not."
Gwyn continues his punishment as he continues to mutter more words.
"Your sense of touch is taken away. Now, you cannot feel physical pain or pleasure. You are nothing but a husk of what you are."
Amir can only feel nothingness, and the only thing that keeps him sane is the sound of his captor.
"And finally, before I take away your sense of hearing, I will tell you how to end this. It is very simple, really. The only way to end this is to end your control over your victim. Free them from your power, and I will end this. I will let you live. However, if you decide to be stubborn or even try to lie to me... Feel what it is like to be rejected by life. To feel what it is like to be alone in this world. Feel what it is like to be rejected by all life. Feel how your victim feels as you take away their life from them. Feel their pain, sorrow, and agony, for it is what you deserve. I will disable the silence spell on you, and you can scream if you truly want to free your victim from your thrall."
Gwyn mutters something and takes away Amir’s sense of hearing. After that, he and his two bodyguards walk away from the dungeon, ignoring the screaming of Amir in the dungeon.
What Gwyn casts is a special spell granted by a ring he is using. It was a special ring that he got from completing a certain quest. It is not a practical spell because it takes a few seconds to cast as it needs steps like just how he did it to cast the spell.
The ring itself is called [Vessel of Darkness], and the spell is called [Darkness Hell]. In the game, it blocks all the five senses of the victim and nothing else. However, in the lore, it is not just that.
In the lore, not only does it block all five senses, but it also makes sure the brain cannot go unconscious and makes sure to feed all the negative mental attacks this torture does. That means the victim will arrive in complete darkness and lose the sense of time. If White Torture needs a couple of months to show an effect, this torture only needs a few seconds to show an effect on the victim’s mental state.
Not even walking for ten seconds, Gwyn stops as he feels a spike of mana coming from the dungeon. He blinks for a few seconds and says.
"Let’s go back. He has already freed his victim."
"But, my lord! We should let him experience what you have done to him! That is what he deserves, after all."
"Who says that I will take away his curse? No. I want to ensure that others do not know that we are doing it. Come on. Let’s give him some false hope."
The three of them walk to the dungeon and see Amir on the ground, crying and screaming silently in agony. Gwyn touches Amir’s head and temporarily deactivates the curse. When he did that, Amir widened his eyes and looked around for a few seconds before his eyes landed on Gwyndolin.
"I’m sorry! I’m sorry! I’m sorry!"
"I said that I promise you that I will let you live, right? I will do so. After all, the dead did not suffer. Every time you close your eyes, you will feel the same thing I made you feel today. The moment you get used to that feeling, your memories regarding it will be erased, and you will return to square one. The only way for you to escape this is when you truly redeem yourself. When you truly regret your actions from the bottom of your soul, you change your way of thinking. This is my punishment for you, the punishment of life."
Gwyndolin looks at Amir and says.
"Amir Reza, I sentence you to life. May life be the judge of your soul. [Sleep]!"
Amir falls asleep, and Gwyn nods his head.
[Darkness Hell] in the game lasts for three minutes, but the curse will disappear in the lore when the target redeems themselves from the bottom of their soul. The lore says that the curse will return if they decide to even think about doing what they have been doing in the past.
It is a curse that sticks to you until your soul gets into the afterlife.
Gwyn kneels on the sleeping man and takes out his staff. He put it on Amir’s head and cast a spell.
"[Amnesia]"
[Amnesia] is a spell that erases a selected memory the player desires. This spell is not useful to players because they are not really there, but many players use it on an NPC to reset their favorability.
Of course, it is ineffective against a powerful NPC as a lot of players get killed by an NPC who is angry for what they are trying to do.
Gwyn controls the memory and makes sure to erase all the memory of what happened here and even erase the memory of his recently soon-to-be victim. After doing that, he makes sure to reactivate the curse so that when Amir opens his eyes, the curse will return.
With that done, Gwyn nods and looks at Jonathan.
"Jonathan, can you leave the victim somewhere safe? Or if you can, take her to where she stays."
"Of course, my lord. Leave it to me."
"Thank you. It is a long day. I want to leave this place and take some sleep."
