The mysterious tornado from earlier—stylish though it had been—had disappeared, just like the clouds.
Whatever had happened was already over.
Todoroki looked toward the place where he had launched his attack. When the fire and ice collided, they created a curtain of steam that blocked the view.
"What are you doing, Walker?!" Todoroki shouted toward the curtain of steam where the misfortune had occurred.
Todoroki's voice was filled with sadness. It was the voice of someone in anguish.
"What are you playing at?!"
"Don't be fooled by the anger in Todoroki's eyes—his heart is hurt. He was certain it had been a direct hit. However, there was a feeling of unease in his heart… had he killed him?"
"At this moment his heart filled with regret, and he wished Allen were alive so he could introduce him to his sister! Because there is no one else in this world whom he would want to become his brother-in-law... or even his stepfather (if the opportunity arose) other than Allen!"
"Shut up!"
Todoroki launched a blast of fire toward the voice in the middle of the steam, which dispersed and revealed Allen's figure holding a microphone.
"Oh come on, can't I be the narrator once in a while?" Allen complained, then looked up at the sky for no apparent reason. "Hello?! Everyone knows it's a complaint, you don't have to point it out!"
"Walker?!" Todoroki stared at Allen in disbelief. Because that was Allen, right?
The stadium fell completely silent. Allen was now wearing a yellow suit, while his face—still the most perfect in the world—was now green.
"What's with my audience's reaction?!" Allen sighed dramatically and then suddenly laughed.
"Hahaha!"
His laughter didn't remain just a sound—it appeared written in the air. Allen looked at it curiously, then grabbed one of the letters and blew into it. The letter behaved like a balloon, expanding.
Once he finished, Allen pulled a needle out of his pocket and popped it into his skin. Out of nowhere, the sound of an audience laughing and applauding echoed everywhere.
"What?"
Todoroki felt very uncomfortable with the current Allen. He was very different from the other transformations he had used. There was no overwhelming or suffocating aura of power in his presence, but there was something that made him feel uneasy.
"Walker!"
Todoroki used his fire again. Flames burst from his hands, turning everything in their path to ashes.
"No!" Allen shouted desperately before being swallowed by the fire.
"Huh?"
This surprised Todoroki. He was sure Allen was capable of stopping his attack with ease—or at least dodging it. Remember that, as Thirteen once said, Quirks can be weapons capable of killing very easily if used improperly. That's why it's the heroes' responsibility to know which opponents they can use their full power against and which they cannot.
Everyone watched in shock as a figure burned inside the flames. Todoroki dropped to his knees, unable to believe he had killed someone.
"This isn't real..." Nemuri said as she stared at what had happened. Her mind seemed to have short-circuited. But she wasn't the only one—many girls were the same. However, before they could process the pain, a familiar voice was heard through the loudspeakers.
"Oh no, what a tragedy! He was so young, handsome, and perfect! And look at his hair—have you ever seen something so silky and shiny?!"
"Allen Walker?..." Present Mic looked at Allen beside him with wide eyes, right where Aizawa should have been.
Allen was now wearing a 1950s-style commentator outfit while crying over the great tragedy. Meanwhile, Aizawa was against the wall, tied up like a worm and struggling to free himself. He had used his Quirk to try to stop Allen's transformation, but it had been useless, leaving him full of disbelief.
"You..." Present Mic stood up, but before he could speak, Allen shoved a banana into his mouth.
"Oh! The firefighters are here!"
Out of nowhere, a fire siren sounded, and through tunnels that shouldn't even connect to the outside, a red fire truck drove into the stadium and reached the fire.
Several firefighters got out of the truck, wearing helmets that covered their faces. Among them, Allen also stepped down—this time in captain mode.
"Come on, ladies, we don't have all day!"
The men deployed their hoses and extinguished the fire. Allen approached the blackened lump that remained and examined it closely. Then he shook his head while removing his helmet and offering condolences.
However, everyone could see that the charred lump wasn't Allen—nor even a person. It was a poorly made Allen doll.
'What is wrong with him?' Todoroki, who had witnessed all of this, couldn't understand what had just happened.
Allen, who had apparently been burned, had somehow replaced himself with a doll. That was acceptable up to a point. But what was alarming were his other abilities—from the capacity to be in multiple places at once, which was already absurd, to the ability to bring objects as large as a fire truck out of nowhere.
....
MJ – Oh my God, he put on that mask!
Gwen – What's happening?!
Felicia – I don't know why, but this Allen makes me feel really uncomfortable.
Rukia – Is this another template too?
Kate – It's probably the strangest power he's obtained.
Angela (Gilgamesh) – Regardless of his exaggerated appearance, his current abilities are enormous.
Annissa – He'll return to normal, right?
Ruby (Jean) – He should. All his templates have time limits.
Rick – What a troublesome thing he's turned into...
Tony – Damn. When the mad scientist says that, it's serious.
....
"That's enough!" Todoroki, unable to tolerate this farce any longer, attacked Allen—this time with ice, freezing everything in his path.
"Oh?!"
Allen jumped to dodge while the "firefighters" froze along with the truck. When he landed, Allen was wearing an Eskimo outfit and ice skates, which he used to glide across the ice.
He even performed a few spins on the ice that earned high scores from the judges. They were sitting at a table next to the arena. Needless to say, the five judges were five Allens disguised as different people.
Allen got nervous and began improving his performance.
Allen jumped from the outside edge of his back foot with the help of the toe pick of his other skate.
"A beautiful Lutz!" exclaimed Judge Allen, dressed in a suit.
Allen put on a determined look and spun in the air while moving forward—also known as an Axel—but he didn't stop there. He repeated it with three rotations and landed, only to do it again with four rotations.
"A quadruple Axel!" exclaimed Allen from the commentator booth alongside Present Mic, who also got excited.
"I don't understand anything, but that's amazing!"
"Beautiful!" said Allen dressed as a cowboy.
"A wonderful performance!" said an Allen dressed as a chef. No one knew why he was a judge for figure skating on ice, but we're not going to question the logic right now.
"That's enough!"
Todoroki exploded again, covering everything in flames.
"This has to end! Stop playing around and start fighting!"
"You're very aggressive, you know?" Allen said with his arm over Todoroki's shoulder. Yes, at some point he had arrived beside him completely unharmed.
Todoroki reacted by freezing Allen on instinct, then stepped back while drops of sweat ran down his face. No matter how he attacked, nothing seemed to hit Allen.
An illusion?
Teleportation?
Reality manipulation?
Each possibility sounded more outrageous than the last.
Allen sneezed inside the ice and broke out of his frozen prison. Then he brushed the ice off his suit and looked at Todoroki with disapproval.
"You can't just go around freezing people like that, young man. Don't you know that's bad manners?"
Todoroki's face grew dark and still nervous, but he didn't give up. He ignited both fire and ice around his body.
"Unfortunately, my father is an unpleasant man who doesn't raise his children properly."
Allen raised an eyebrow and then smiled mischievously.
"Well, that's a shame—you don't get to choose your parents. And tell me, Todoroki-kun, have you thought about getting another father? Of course, your mother is pretty cute, isn't she?"
Todoroki's eyes widened as he saw Allen holding a photo of his mother. All his caution went down the drain, and he was filled with rage as he attacked Allen.
"Ah!" Allen laughed and began dodging as if his body were a cartoon. He bent at strange angles, and his arms and legs stretched and twisted to evade the blasts of fire and spears of ice.
"You!"
Little by little Todoroki was losing patience and continued attacking. His blasts of fire burned wherever they landed, and his icicles exploded with the force of a tank shell.
If it were another opponent, an attack like that could have put their life at risk—but with the current Allen, it looked like he was just playing.
....
"What kind of template is that?" Kaina couldn't believe that the green-faced guy with the strange personality was Allen.
Mirko, Ryuko, and Nejire were the same. They knew Allen could obtain different powers depending on those "cards" he used, but this was the first time they had seen one with an effect like this.
Todoroki's attacks continued while he gradually grew more tired. He knew a battle of attrition would be dangerous, so instead of trying to hit Allen directly with his attacks, he decided to predict where he would be next.
"Take this!"
Todoroki attacked with everything he had, firing multiple icicles at Allen. Allen opened his eyes and tried to avoid them, but one struck him, piercing through his chest.
Seeing Allen impaled by ice terrified everyone. Unlike before, it wasn't a doll—this was definitely Allen.
Even Toru and Mina fainted, while Momo went into shock and Itsuka tried to jump down from the stands. Before Nemuri, Mirko, Ryuko, and Kaina could leap onto the stage to hit Todoroki and check on Allen, he let out a dramatic cry of pain.
"Ouch... you got me, kid..."
It wasn't the scream of someone who had been impaled. Instead, it sounded more like someone who had opened the fridge and accidentally drunk spoiled milk.
Allen tiptoed toward Todoroki. Once he reached him, he let himself collapse.
Todoroki instinctively caught him.
Allen's face turned pale—well, less green—and he started coughing.
"Don't cry, you did well."
Cough Cough
Allen grabbed the collar of Todoroki's clothes.
"Tell Timcampy I won't be coming home for Christmas!"
Cough Cough
"Tell MJ that I ate her pudding!"
MJ – It was you?!
"Tell Eve I'm sorry for confusing her with Samantha!"
Eve – Bastard, you said it was a joke!
Cough Cough
"Tell Saya I'm sorry and that red dress makes her look fatter!"
Saya – @&#&@
Cough Cough
"Tell Rias I loved her bikini photo, but I think Akeno's looked better!"
Rias – Bastard!
Akeno – Ufufu
Cough Cough Cough Cough
"Tell... Wednesday that I've been watching her every day and that I wouldn't mind getting married in a cemetery."
Wednesday – Has disconnected
Allen coughed loudly right in Todoroki's face.
"And tell your sister I love her," Allen's expression improved and he broke character for a moment. "You have a sister, right? In any case, an aunt works too. How young is your grandma?"
"Ahhh!"
Todoroki exploded, burning everything around him and creating a pillar of fire that shot into the sky.
Allen stepped back, his clothes on fire, and put them out with a slap.
"Come on, buddy, it was just a joke. You know, for the show." Allen smiled, losing part of his madness and returning closer to his base personality, though the transformation was still active.
Todoroki, now at his limit, looked at Allen with hatred.
"Stop playing, Walker! I intended to fight you—to show you what I'm capable of. Even if I lost in the end, that would've been fine. But this is simply insulting!"
Allen stayed silent for a moment before smiling.
"You know what? You're right. It's time to take this seriously."
Allen pulled a red beret out of his pocket and put it on. Then he sat down on a bench in front of an easel that appeared out of nowhere and began drawing with great concentration.
"Fine. If you're going to play until the end, then I'll defeat you!"
Todoroki didn't bother speaking to Allen anymore and began gathering all his power. The flames around him started raising the temperature of the entire stadium.
Meanwhile, Endeavor—who until now had been on the verge of exploding with rage at Allen for pointing toward his wife and daughter—began to laugh.
Allen glanced sideways at Todoroki and, without losing focus, kept drawing. Those who could see what he was drawing turned pale, while the rest could only watch in disbelief and confusion.
Todoroki didn't hesitate and slowly raised his hand, which now held enough power to incinerate anything.
"I'm finished!"
At that moment, Allen stopped his brush and smiled proudly. Then he showed everyone what he had drawn—a poorly made pistol made of simple strokes.
Everyone thought it was another joke, but then Allen did something that left everyone in shock. He stuck his hand into the canvas and pulled the gun out. It began emerging—an absurdly large and technological weapon, like the blaster of an intergalactic spaceship.
Todoroki's eyes widened in shock. This was like Momo's Quirk, but without logical restrictions and boosted with steroids.
"Ready, kid?"
Allen pointed the weapon at Todoroki, who felt a chill run down his spine but didn't stop his movements and attacked, releasing his power at full force.
Allen watched the flames capable of melting metal approach without fear and simply fired.
From the gun's barrel didn't come a laser, a railgun, or any futuristic technology. Instead, a classic red cartoon glove shot out. It instantly pierced through Todoroki's attack and punched him in the face, launching him out of the arena.
"Urgh!" Todoroki flew through the air, spinning three times before crashing into the wall and leaving his body's imprint in the rock. Then he fell to the ground with his eyes rolling.
Huh?!
A collective reaction of disbelief spread everywhere. Not even the villains watching could understand how a miserable red glove had destroyed Todoroki's attack and knocked him out in such a ridiculous way.
Allen blew on the barrel of his gun as if he had fired a bullet and put it back into his pocket, which was functioning like Doraemon's pocket at the moment.
"Well, that was intense, don't you think, dear readers?" Allen smiled toward nothing.
....
Once inside the locker room, Allen removed the mask and dropped to his knees.
"What the hell did I just do?!"
He remembered everything he had done perfectly, but beyond his actions, the feeling of wearing the mask had been deeply disturbing.
"Maybe I shouldn't have used it..." Allen tried to calm his emotions.
MJ – That's right, you shouldn't have...
Allen froze for a moment as he remembered everything he had said while pretending to be dying.
'Shit!'
"Listen, I can explain," Allen said with a face harder than a brick wall. At this moment, he would have to be shameless to the extreme to get out of this problem.
But without giving him a chance to explain, the locker room door opened and Nemuri walked in, approaching him and hugging him.
"Nemuri?"
Behind her appeared several girls Allen knew very well: Momo, Toru, Itsuka, Mina, and Ochako. But they all had cold expressions.
While Allen tried to think of an excuse, Nemuri's hug tightened.
"Sister?"
"Allen, I'm glad you're okay. But tell me—who were all those women you mentioned during the fight?"
The looks on all the girls' faces said the same thing. At that moment, he knew.
Not even all the shamelessness in the world could save him.
'I'm screwed...'
[Yes, you are... and you deserve it.]
