Chapter 508 - 508 Invincible: The Future of the Invincible Universe, All Hail the Emperor!, Pledge Loyalty!, Getting a Concubine/Empress and The Shock of Monster Girl.
Allen sat on a throne inside a building remodeled to be a huge, ostentatious hall. This was in Chicago, which for some reason was now called "The Capital of the Empire".
Allen treated this as Rudolph's joke, but the next day, he called him. Rudolph proceeded to invite him to this place and asked him to wait for him in the hall not knowing that it was all a trap, of course Allen was suspicious when Rudolph referred to him as his majesty and made him sit on a golden throne, but decided to give him the benefit of the doubt, what a mistake.
'Where the hell do he even get a throne?!'
Makima – At this rate, by tomorrow, the unified government will be up and running. Hehe...
'For Makima to laugh, this situation must be really absurd...'
Harley – Daddy, be careful or they'll make statues of you! Hahaha!
Rebecca – Hahaha, that will be the least of your problems. In a few days, they'll create a religion in your name!
'...I don't think they'll go that far, right?'
Artoria – Even I, as a failed king, had people praying to me... I can't imagine what it'll be like when the fanaticism for the Emperor of Mankind sets in... heh.
'Omg, even Artoria laughed! This is ridiculous. I'll deny everything, and we're getting out of here!'
Before Allen could get up, a huge screen lit up in front of him, showing a crowd. It was the population of Chicago, which had gathered in the hundreds of thousands.
"ALL HAIL THE EMPEROR!"
"ALL HAIL THE EMPEROR!"
"ALL HAIL THE EMPEROR!"
Allen watched with disdain the shouts of all the people. It was true that these people were happy after the Viltrumites were defeated and they no longer had to be slaves in the future, but Allen doubted if those cheers were sincere or just a bunch of damn trolls having fun with the situation.
"Okay, this is going too far!"
Wednesday – I find this pretty strange, actually. People can't just abandon their flags so easily to accept a new world order.
Nokotan – Umu... if it were that easy, I would've taken over the world a long time ago!~
Robot entered the makeshift throne room. His robotic eyes showed surprise. "Personally, I didn't think this would go so smoothly..."
"That's all you have to say?!" Allen was upset. People should be acting more like in the movies. "This doesn't make sense, Where are the protests? The resistance? You know, when someone tries to be the king of the world, people start wars, a protagonist appears to save the day, or some crap like that?!"
Robot nodded, observing the big screen. "I expected more resistance, but it's a pleasant surprise that everything is going so smoothly..."
"What a pleasant surprise!" Allen got up and grabbed Robot by the shoulders, shaking him. "Can't you see people are shouting dangerous things? At this rate, this joke is going too far"
"This isn't a joke..."
Allen widened his eyes. "Are you crazy? You really think you're going to restore society with a single government?!"
Robot brought up a hologram of the planet, with many red dots marking countries. "Our world is gravely injured, on the brink of self-destruction. There are people without homes, the industry has stopped, there are administrative problems everywhere, the economy has plunged into the abyss... We'll be in the industrial revolution for decades, at best. At worst... there will be more deaths than births in the next hundred years..."
Allen frowned. "Tsk... I saw Chicago destroyed and a few other cities, but I didn't think it was this bad..."
"It's too late to go back to the past. Even if we only lost half the population, people will start fighting for power everywhere," Rudolph entered the room with a serious look on his face. "According to our calculations, the population will be reduced by half of what it already is in the next decade due to power struggles..."
Wednesday appeared next to Allen. "They're right. Human nature is limited by the rules imposed by society. Without society, people will turn into a bunch of savages..."
Esdeath smiled, sitting on Allen's head. "I have to admit, if there's one thing the Viltrumites do well, it's destroying societies. They meticulously fractured society so no one could restore any government secretly... There's no way this world has a future without blood... unless..."
Artoria stood in front of the big screen. "These people are broken. They're desperate to cling to anything. They fear more Viltrumites might come, and now the only person known to have the ability to defeat them is you... If this world is like this... it's unpleasantly perfect for the Empire of Mankind to be born... no... The Imperium of Man hehe..."
"You're having fun, aren't you Artoria?" Allen stared at the screen. "Don't tell me that by actually saving them, I condemned them..."
...
Robot shook his head. "No, even if a difficult future awaits us, it would never be worse than being Viltrumite slaves..."
Allen walked over to the throne and sat down, scowling in front of Robot and Rudolph.
"First of all, explain to me why you didn't tell me anything." Allen narrowed his eyes, and both Robot and Rudolph grew nervous. Only Allen could make a robot nervous.
"Mr. Walker... we regret doing this without your prior consent. It was a cowardly act, even considering the debt we owe you, but it was something we came up with just before the live broadcast..." Rudolph said, trying to sound sincere.
Allen raised an eyebrow mockingly. "Oh~"
Robot's eyes lit up as if receiving information before speaking again. "Mr. Walker, we understand that you feel pressured, but our intention was never to involve you in managing a universe that doesn't belong to you..."
"Explain yourself," Allen ordered, crossing his arms.
Robot said it bluntly. "There is no future for humanity if we are conquered..."
Albedo mocked while grabbing Allen's arm. "The Viltrumites only want the children they have with humans, these will take them to Viltrum when they grow up. I don't even think they care if humanity survives another hundred years after a few new generations of Viltrumites."
The only reason the Viltrumites bother with humans is their compatibility. Whether as a species or as a civilization, humanity is too weak compared to many races in the universe. So, it's easy to see what will happen when the Viltrum Empire is reborn, and they no longer need the weak humans.
"That's why your presence is so important. People need a leader, an image, someone to rely on..."
"Basically, you just want to use my image..." Allen mocked. "Isn't that too convenient?"
Rudolph sighed. "We understand that you'll soon return to your universe or the universe from which you came. We didn't think you'd want to stay here... or maybe, do you want to take the responsibility of being the Emperor of Humanity?"
Allen knew the future where Robot becomes a villain. Even if he had some good intentions, his methods could be ruthless. Leaving this world in his hands can go very wrong. But at the same time, the responsibility of being an emperor, and not just any emperor, but one for four billion people...
MJ – Why not try it? In the end, Robot will handle everything, you just need to keep him in check...
Ángela (Gilgamesh) – Unifying humanity, that can go very well or very wrong, can't it, Emperor?
The Emperor – In my world, it was necessary, and thanks to it, humanity still survives amidst maniac Orks that breed like a plague, hostile races, Chaos Gods, Demons, Necrons... Allen, this position is too heavy. With just one decision, humanity could go extinct, but still... as An Emperor of Mankind, I guarantee you can do it.
[I.M.] "Isn't that too much faith in me? I've never been a king, you know? I was just a Quincy king in name, and only ordered one person..."
The Emperor – Even if the situation were a hundred times worse, my opinion wouldn't change... you can do it
"..."
Thor – Hahaha, if I can be king, so can you!
Annie – Honestly, I don't know if I trust a robot with humanity's future... but if it doesn't take that much effort, you can try it... I'm sure you'll be better than many idiots.
PercyJ – Come on, you've fought demons, gods, cosmic entities, apocalyptic incarnations, and a bunch of crazies... being an emperor is nothing to you!
Kratos – Fools and selfish people have always desired the great throne... they've always wanted to rule the world... a foolish dream that is now within your reach, and the fact that you don't desire it makes you better than many...
...
A silence fell in the room as Allen was lost in thought. His eyes were calm, even under the pressure of being the First Emperor of Mankind in this world. Allen had an aura that put pressure on others, unlike being a Regulator. He couldn't take this position lightly, because, as the Emperor of Warhammer said, with just one decision, humanity could be wiped out.
"I don't like this..." The mist in his eyes disappeared and Allen fixed his gaze on Rudolph and Robot. "I don't want you to use my image while a computational algorithm and a man whose gaze only seeks death govern..."
Allen got up from his throne and walked over to Robot and Rudolph, placing his hands on them.
"Domain Expansion..."
Rudolph and Robot were taken to a different space. About fifteen minutes passed before Allen's Domain broke.
When they appeared, Rudolph had changed. He grabbed his own face, looking at his hands, stunned.
"I am!... I AM!!!"
"Control yourself, Rudolph..."
Allen threw him a robe, and he noticed he was naked, putting it on in a daze.
"What's happening? What's going on with me? What is this?!"
On the other side, Robot clutched his head as a great amount of pain and sadness overwhelmed him, remembering all the friends he had lost.
"Rudolph, I gave you a body... just like the Rudolph from the universe I came from..." Allen looked calmly at the man before turning to Robot. "Robot, I gave you a soul. It's an artificial soul, but a soul nonetheless... It can be a burden or a blessing, it depends on you..."
...
Rukia – Don't tell me you created a Mod-Soul?!
Rias – Mod-souls... is that a bad thing?
Unohana – It's an abbreviation for modified souls, but they're not normal souls; they are artificially created...
Nanao – More than saying they're bad... their creation is prohibited for ethical and moral reasons...
Rangiku – After all, it creates intelligent life... though I find it hard to believe that Allen-chan could do this without equipment...
Mayuri – It's truly a wonderful thing!~
Rukia – Captain Kurotsuchi Mayuri?!
Mayuri – There's no need to shout, Kuchiki Rukia. Besides, I've been here since Walker-san left our world... I just despise the idea of interacting with so many people of low intelligence...
Rick – Haha, you wouldn't stand a chance against my most incompetent version!
Mayuri – Of course, there are exceptions, but no matter how intelligent you are, I won't enjoy a conversation with someone who spends half their time with some kind of drug in their system...
Rick – You're right...
Mayuri – Morality and ethics are just excuses; Mod-souls have great potential... it's just something that should be used by capable people... I'm glad he finally decided to use my work by mixing it with his abilities; the potential is marvelous!
Unohana – Oh, so it's your fault my husband can make Mod-souls...
Mayuri – Yes... well... I only gave him the method...
...
The robot felt strange because it used to be an AI, and although it could understand human emotions and know what kind of thoughts were behind them, this time it was different. The weight of every memory this time was real, and the frustration and anger of seeing its comrades die were overwhelming.
Allen walked among them toward the screen...
"I will be here for a week but then I have to leave, but I will be back often. Also, you'll always have to communicate with me about important matters. I won't leave humanity helpless. If I'm going to be the Emperor... I'll be the Emperor of Mankind!"
As Allen said these words, Albedo kneeled, her gaze fanatic as she observed the glory on her lord's back. To her, only her master was worthy of such a position.
2B also kneeled in silence while wearing her original YorHa automaton clothes. She had been created to serve humanity, and for her master to be the Emperor of Mankind might be the greatest achievement for her YorHa, so she smiled as she shed tears.
Esdeath also kneeled, though she had served an emperor before, this might be the first time she knelt with all her heart.
Artoria, wearing her armor, also kneeled, her gaze a mix of nostalgia, perhaps longing, but also immense happiness. Being a goddess, being a King, it didn't matter to her; she'd be a knight just to serve him.
Harley and Rebecca exchanged looks, shrugged, and then kneeled. They might have been the least familiar with something like this, but they had already knelt before Allen, albeit in another situation, so there was no issue in doing it again.
Bocchi looked on in panic but, with her fragile heart, didn't want to fall behind, so she kneeled, but she did it in seiza, as any respectable Japanese girl would.
Nokotan tilted her head in confusion and wanted to run toward Allen, but Wednesday grabbed her by the neck and made her kneel beside her. She acted elegantly, sitting with her legs together and in silence. Though she might have been the most reluctant to do this, she neither protested nor refused.
Robot and Rudolph kneeled...
Robot – "Stand firm, stand proud, and let the enemies of the Emperor tremble before our unity and strength... For the Emperor... For the Imperium."
Rudolph – "I kneeled down for the Emperor, for the Imperium, for the Emperor of Mankind, I lay down my life! FOR THE EMPEROR!"
Allen didn't mock their words as exaggerated; to Rudolph, what Allen had given him was enough to consider him his god, and for Robot, seeing Allen avenge his friends was enough to swear loyalty.
Allen smiled at his dolls before looking at the people who cheered for him.
*Notification*
Allen opened his email on a screen beside him and saw there was a gift from the Emperor. Upon opening it, Allen sighed, knowing he'd have to carry this through to the end.
...
The people cheered because an entire city had been rebuilt, demonstrating Allen's power, and there was a video of him beating down the beings who had destroyed the world and killed so many people.
The crowd cheered, but in their hearts, there was still fear. Invincible's threats were clear, he repeated ad nauseam that there was a Viltrumite empire that wanted to enslave them.
The people shouted Allen's name, regardless of whether they wanted world unity or not, only Allen could protect them, and that was an undeniable fact.
Out of nowhere, in the plaza where the crowd had gathered, something incredible began to happen. A podium appeared, made of beautifully adorned marble. It had been created out of nowhere by the system, but the people couldn't know that.
Robot linked the communications globally, but many places were out of contact and without electricity. Allen used the system, whose specialty was live transmission, and brought giant screens into the sky around the world so that no town or person would miss what he was about to say.
Slowly, the world paused... and everyone watched the screens...
Footsteps
The footsteps echoed in the sky and on the ground.
"In this cruel universe, humanity is one of the most fragile civilizations..."
Allen's voice reached them before his figure, and it was filled with weight and seriousness.
"In this universe, the end awaiting humanity was miserable..."
Sadness filled the people's hearts...
"However, do not fear. I'm really not the best person in the world. On the contrary, I'm quite selfish, but I can be what you need..."
Allen's words grew heavier as an imposing man appeared before everyone in golden armor (given by you-know-who) and a beautiful sword in his hand, full of glory. His presence was so dazzling and glorious that the people felt the impulse to kneel.
"I am Allen Walker, and from now on, I declare the elimination of all borders in the world, the eradication of every previous nation, and the formation of a single Empire, The Imperium of Mankind, with me as its Emperor!" Allen struck the ground with Excalibur. "If anyone doesn't like it, come and complain!"
Allen's words hit the hearts and souls of everyone. This world didn't need a hero, didn't need a savior, they needed an Emperor!
"ALL HAIL THE EMPEROR!"
"ALL FOR THE IMPERIUM!"
"ALL HAIL THE EMPEROR!"
"ALL FOR THE IMPERIUM!"
"ALL HAIL THE EMPEROR!"
"ALL HAIL THE EMPEROR!"
...
(One hour later)
Allen finished speaking to his viewers and closed the livestream. Without saying anything more, he collapsed onto his bed; it was the bed from the house he took in Universe 2 of Invincible.
Allen looked at the Samantha Eve of this universe. "I know you're awake, redhead"
She opened her eyes and smiled beautifully. "All Hail The Emperor... hehe."
Allen pinched Samantha's nose with two fingers. He had decided not to leave this Eve behind, but to differentiate them, he'd call this Eve "Samantha" and the other girl "Eve".
"Ouch, was that necessary, Your Majesty?" Samantha teased.
Allen, irritated, grabbed her by the waist and pulled her into his arms. She blushed and looked at him with soft eyes. Samantha liked Allen from before but from that moment when their souls connected when he rescued her in that infinite darkness, her feelings had skyrocketed like a rocket.
"Majesty, does this mean I'll be a concubine?" she asked with feigned innocence.
Allen stroked Samantha's hair, then her cheeks, and kissed her to silence her jokes. At that moment, Allen felt very tired and wasn't in the mood to be considerate, so they quickly stripped off all their clothes and confirmed their relationship.
...
A week later, Allen returned to the other world, leaving his "Empress" in charge. Allen sat on his sofa, feeling the contrast between both universes.
"Hello~" Amanda hugged him from behind while sniffing him like a dog looking for the scent of other women. "What have you been doing this week? Eve complained that if she doesn't get her dose of Allenium, she gets irritable at school, and Kate seems like a bitch in heat looking for you~"
Amanda wasn't innocent either; in this week of missing him, she would sneak into his room, smell his clothes, and indulge in his bed.
"Well, I went to another universe to defeat several Viltrumites and become the Emperor of Mankind..."
"Haha," Amanda kissed Allen's cheek while looking at him with disdain, amusement, and flirtation. "Don't lie to me~"

"..." Allen's expression was serious, making Amanda open her eyes in disbelief.
"HUH?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!"
