Chapter 487 - 487 Invincible: Time Skip, A Golden Beauty in Bed, Punishing the Guardians of the Globe and Robot, the World's Most Miserable Man.
Allen continued his life in the world of Invincible while noticing that the events related to the main storyline stalled... Before he knew it, time began to speed up.
(Three months later)
As Allen had predicted, during this time, the Invincible storyline slowed down, avoiding any major conflicts.
During these months, Allen had gotten used to his life in this world, but he also balanced it with his life in other worlds.
In his original world (Marvel), Allen had already started university with Gwen, MJ, and Felicia. His students at the X-Mansion had made great progress, and now they were on vacation. There were a few new students who had joined his class recently.
In The Boys' world, the "Walker Agency of Superheroes" founded by Starlight, whose real name was Annie January, had grown to regulate the many Supes still around. Annie, as the director, gave Allen, her fiancé, the position of assistant manager. Allen didn't mind getting paid for practically doing nothing, nor was he bothered by the title of fiancé.
In the DC world, Allen officially appointed Poison Ivy as the Director of Arkham while accepting a role as an advisor and support at the new Justice League headquarters, which turned out to be the famous Watchtower in space.
In the Bleach world, on the Soul Society and the Wandenreich sides, there were no major changes. Remember, in societies with long-lived beings, decades can pass without major events, and no one would think it's strange. Only in the human world did Allen visit his friends, then spend a few days with Orihime at her house and the Kurosaki house. However, a few months wasn't too much time.
In the Kung Fu Panda world, there were no major changes, after all, it's a world where things move more slowly. In Harry Potter and the Record of Ragnarok, due to the differences in the flow of time, not much time has passed.
...
The morning sun shone through the window, and a beautiful blonde girl frowned due to the discomfort.
The gorgeous girl complained with a groan of dissatisfaction, "Allen, can't you turn off the sun?"
"Isn't that a bit extreme?" a young man replied with amusement at his girlfriend's demands.
"But it bothers me..." the lovely girl pouted, demanding to be pampered.
The young man pinched her puffed cheeks and kissed her forehead. "You're so spoiled, Gwen, alright, I'll grant your wish."
Hearing her boyfriend's words, the girl smiled, satisfied, and hugged him tightly, but immediately remembered who her boyfriend was and that he actually could turn off the sun if he wanted to.
"...!" She opened her eyes, fearing that Allen would actually do it. But instead, she found him smiling playfully at her, watching her panic.
The girl punched her boyfriend's chest before lying back down on him. "I really thought you'd turn it off!"
"Do you want me to do it?" Allen asked, confused.
Gwen felt underestimated and bit Allen's shoulder, but only hurt her mouth in the process.
"Ouch..."
Allen used Kaido (Healing Kidō) to heal the pain in Gwen's teeth. When she saw his worried face, she couldn't stay mad and cuddled against him.
"I love you~"
"Oh~ I love you too, but why all this sudden affection? You're going to spoil me."
"I'm just happy to see you, is that bad?"
Allen blinked silently, "But we saw each other three days ago, and you practically see me every day in live-stream..."
"Ara~ that's different~"
Hearing Gwen say "Ara" made Allen look at her strangely. It seemed she had learned a few things from Akeno, the so-called demon expert in seduction, who ironically had never had a boyfriend.
"I think I should prevent Akeno-san teach you some strange things."
"It wasn't her~"
"Then..."
Gwen squinted playfully. "It was Yachiru-san."
"Yeah, it's her... I guess I'll let her do it."
"Hehe, I knew you'd say that~" Gwen felt a warm sensation fill her heart from deep within, and she didn't want to get up.
"Gwen, will you be here when I come back?"
Gwen frowned with reproach and a pout. "I'd love to, but I have duties to do. Not all of us have SHIELD licking our feet so the dean will bow down and leave us alone~"
Allen blinked, confused. "Weren't you the one who rejected Fury's help, saying you didn't want to cheat? Just look at MJ and Felicia, they were bolder, and now they're happy..."
"Tsk... those two have no shame!" Gwen cursed.
Allen smiled, partly admiring the fact that she didn't accept SHIELD making things easier for her at school. But on the other hand, Allen practically saves the world every month. He and, of course, his girlfriends deserved some consideration from humanity, right?
Allen laughed as Gwen puffed her cheeks in his arms. Looking around the room and seeing the expensive furniture, the art on the walls, and the Sultan bed, it was easy to tell this wasn't Allen's apartment in NYC from Marvel. This was the place he extorted from Cecil in the world of Invincible.
Allen kissed Gwen before getting up. As was customary, this apartment was also connected to his other properties, and any of his girls were free to come and go, as long as they followed certain rules. However, the system always kept an eye on them to make sure they didn't get into trouble in another world. So, after a few months, it became common to see girls from other places waking up in Allen's bed in Invincible.
"Master..."
2B appeared as soon as Allen got up to offer him his change of clothes and help him get dressed. Wednesday, still in her maid outfit, also appeared and helped him. Something like this wasn't necessary since he could change with a snap of his fingers, but what kind of man would choose that over having two beautiful girls dressed as maids put his shirt on?
Allen looked at the horizon with a half-smile, feeling that things were about to move in a big way.
"I don't know how much my existence has changed this world. Maybe I'll have to kill Omni-Man after all..."
In these three months, Allen continued living most of his time in this world.
Allen kept up with his activities as a Regulator and also had training sessions with the New Guardians (which mostly consisted of him beating them up).
As for his activities in other areas, Allen had earned the reputation of being the bogeyman of this world. It didn't matter if you were a hero or a villain, part of the government or a criminal; no one, absolutely no one, wanted to be in the sights of the Regulator, because he wouldn't rest until he found you, and he would make you suffer. This reputation had grown in three months, and despite everything, Allen was proud of his achievements so far.
Allen finished breakfast, the meal Wednesday had cooked for him that day, and surprisingly, there was nothing strange about it.
"Well, it's time to pick up the pace..." After that, Allen teleported.
In the original story, during this time, Invincible was consolidating himself as a superhero by capturing villains here and there. His strength was also increasing. Of course, Allen's existence brought changes. He had captured many supervillains who would have originally been captured by Invincible. He didn't do it on purpose; it was just that they had bad luck running into him. But this could even be considered a favor to Mark since, thanks to Allen lightening his workload, his relationship with his girlfriend didn't deteriorate as it should have. On the downside, his fame was less compared to the original, and it was Allen himself who became popular, even though he wasn't a superhero.
...
"Oh, come on, you're really going to bother me right now?"
Allen appeared on the roof of the Guardians' headquarters but received a message from the GDA and teleported to Chicago once again.
Chicago was in chaos... again. This city was like New York in Marvel; most criminals and supervillains chose it to wreak havoc. Even with the threat of having Omni-Man, Invincible, the Guardians of the Globe, and the Regulator, they didn't stop.
"Haha, this time I enhanced my powerful arm!"
The guy with the laser arm whom Allen had locked up months ago returned with a modification that made his laser and plasma ray even more powerful. His supervillain name was Killcannon, but Allen couldn't remember it.
Allen appeared bored next to him, ripped off his mechanical arm, and then punched him, breaking his mask and several teeth. The villain crashed into a bus.
"Urgh!!"
"What was your name?" Allen didn't remember, and the villain looked at him incredulously, but due to his broken jaw, he couldn't answer before passing out.
"It doesn't matter," Allen shrugged, grabbing Killcannon and teleporting to Supermax, the high-security prison for supervillains.
At the reception desk, a half-awake guard was eating a donut. He looked up as Allen dragged a supervillain inside and didn't react as one might expect.
"Hey, boss, another one?" the man said respectfully, though he didn't stop eating.
"Hey, Bill, stop eating so many donuts or you won't live to be old," Allen teased, though there was a familiar tone between them.
"Oh, come on, I've gotta die of something..." Bill smiled and pulled out a form for Allen to sign as if he'd done this many times before—and indeed, he had.
"Whatever, put this guy in a containment cell and make sure he doesn't escape this time. It's getting embarrassing capturing the same supervillain over and over."
"It's not our fault. I told Director Cecil to increase the security budget."
Allen didn't get upset; he knew a guard here had to face hundreds of guys with all kinds of abilities while armed only with guns and rifles.
"I'll mention it when I see him. Take care, Bill, and say hi to your family for me."
"Thanks, same to you, sir..."
...
Allen returned to where he had defeated Killcannon, in case there was any other issue, but there wasn't. He shrugged, ready to leave, but then he noticed someone watching him. It was Invincible, floating in the sky, as if saying, "You stole my enemy again..."
Allen smiled at the superhero protagonist of this world.
Carol – Looks like you and that kid will never get along, haha.
"It's not my fault. The guy always looks at me like he's waiting for me to admit I'm a villain so he can defeat me or something."
Emma Frost – That kid's so arrogant just because he got a little stronger, now he wants to be the center of attention... honey, have you thought about taking his powers away?
"I don't see the point, and I'm not sure I can. After all, his power isn't mutant, it's just the traits of his Viltrumite race."
Hippolyta – Allen, stop playing with the kid. At this rate, he'll turn evil just to defeat you~
"I don't think so... even if we don't get along, he wouldn't become a cruel killer... at least not this Mark Grayson, but I can't say the same for other versions."
Allen smiled and walked away, heading towards the Guardians' headquarters.
In these months the Guardians defeated villains, including the Lizard League. But there were problems, the bad relationship between Black Samson and Rex Splode came to a head when, during a mission to defeat the Lizard League, several civilians were injured because Rex and Monster Girl were fighting without caring about protecting anyone.
"They're irresponsible!" Black Samson used holograms to replay the fight against the Lizard League in front of everyone. A bus crashed while they were all fighting. Among the closest were Rex and Amanda.
Amanda felt regretful, "I... I think I should've done something... I'm sorry"
"Come on, old man, we had our hands full with the Lizard League," Rex said, drinking a beer and sitting on a step. The rest of the team just watched in silence. "These guys have been a pain in the ass for the Guardians since your time, right?"

Black Samson grabbed the bottle and smashed it on the ground. "That's no excuse!"
Rex laughed disdainfully as he got up, intending to fight. "Do I look like your son? You're always yelling at me. I'll give you a beating, and maybe you'll learn that someone like you shouldn't have come back!"
"Brat!"
Eve frowned, and just as she was about to interrupt, Allen appeared out of nowhere and, without warning, punched Rex in the face, breaking a couple of his teeth.
"Urgh!! Damn, you!! Why only me?!" Rex held his mouth, bleeding. He knew the reason for that punch, but it wasn't just his mistake—technically, the whole team allowed that bus to crash.
"For your attitude. You're the only one who doesn't think this is wrong..." Allen gave everyone a look. "I know many of you know how I do things, but that's because I'm not a superhero, nor do I aspire to be one. But you guys aren't just superheroes, you're 'The Superheroes.' People expect too much from you. They think that every time the Guardians show up, everything will be fine. They feel like in this horrible world, where the apocalypse could start at any moment, you'll be able to protect them..."
A silence fell over the place. Black Samson crossed his arms and closed his eyes. The words of someone young like him may have a better effect on the team.
"If you want, you can resign from being Guardians of the Globe. It's not an easy job..." No one responded to that, so Allen took out his tablet. "Now that the discussion is over, let me give you your punishments."
"Mr. Walker," Robot stepped forward as the team leader. "Any punishment that limits our activities would be counterproductive."
"I know... that's why your punishment will be a 50% salary reduction for a month."
"Wait, that's not true, is it?" Amanda dropped to her knees. "I was going to buy a new swimsuit, and I need a new phone. I accidentally broke the old one..."
There were various reactions; for some, it wasn't such a bad punishment, but for others, it was quite severe, given their personal situations. In Amanda's case, she lived alone, and despite her appearance, she was already twenty-five years old, so her expenses depended entirely on her.
'Don't worry, I have a proposal...' Allen sent her a message telepathically, and Amanda blinked before smiling. 'I knew you wouldn't abandon me, Daddy~'
Allen shook his head. Amanda had become bolder over the months, and the modified collar with the magical formula was working well. She now appeared to be a sixteen-year-old girl, unlike a few months ago when she looked like she was fourteen.
Eve squinted her eyes when she saw how Amanda went from complaining to smiling and knew Allen must have said something to her telepathically. Eve hadn't seen Amanda as a threat before, but as time passed Amanda became more feminine.
It's not because Allen gets along with Amanda that Eve's situation will change since she is already officially dating him, but Eve has to stay alert and not let just any girl get close to Allen.
'I don't know how Gwen does it in her world...'
As expected, over these months, Eve had met many of Allen's women. She was nervous at first and thought it would be uncomfortable, but unexpectedly, it wasn't. It felt like meeting a bunch of new friends who weren't two-faced like many girls at school.
Eve was left speechless as she learned more and more about who Allen was and how he had lived his life. From the beginning, she knew Allen came from another world, but only Eve had truly gotten to know Allen's world.
Amanda and Kate had only heard about it in various conversations with Allen...
The relationship with Amanda was progressing slowly, mainly because Amanda didn't want to make a mistake and attack Allen yet. She wanted to grow a little more before attempting a relationship with him.
As for Kate, she was still in a stage of indecision. She liked Allen, both physically and emotionally, but she knew that if she took one more step, there'd be no turning back, and she hadn't made up her mind yet. However, she didn't stop trying to seduce Allen, as if she wanted to taste the meat before buying it.
Allen finished dealing with the situation, nodded, and headed to a certain place where he had something important to resolve...
...
In a laboratory, there was what could be considered the most unfortunate man in the world: Robot, or rather, his true identity.
Robot was a man with a miserable fate, his real name was Rudolph "Rudy" Conners. He was a severely deformed human, barely bigger than a child, curled up inside a capsule filled with liquid, with mechanical legs. His skin was pale and covered in sores and blisters, his nose was hidden (or replaced) by a mechanical clamp, and his only functioning eye was the right one, which was yellowish-green.
"I knew you'd come... Allen Walker..."
"Hi, Robot... no, hello, Rudolph."
Rudolph stared at Allen in silence as if he were already prepared for this. "Allen Walker, have you come to kill me?"
"..." Allen didn't answer, but his gaze was devoid of compassion at that moment. "If I told you that in the future, you'll become a Ruthless Tyrant who tries to dominate—no, actually, you'll succeed in dominating the world with an iron fist, what would you think?"
"If I were in your place... I would not hesitate to kill Rudolph Conners..." Rudolph said, showing no fear or resentment toward Allen.
"I see..." The Hollow Purple began to glow in Allen's fingers.
