Chapter 99: Chapter 99: Have You Thought About What to Do in the Future

"Brothers, what took you so long? Weren’t you going shopping? Where’s all the stuff?"

Nolan Winslow and Brandon Winslow didn’t get home until almost eight o’clock.

Grace Winslow went to open the door, glanced behind them, and then looked at their empty hands.

Nolan scratched his head and explained with a smile, "Sigh, we did buy stuff, but on the way back, we ran into a little terror who knocked everything over. We spent ages arguing with his parents, and they ended up paying us for the damages, so we just couldn’t be bothered to go shopping again."

"Yeah, yeah, that’s right." Brandon nodded vigorously from behind him.

Grace rolled her eyes. "Alright, whatever. I saved you some food, so hurry up and come in to eat. I have something to talk to you about after you’re done."

Hearing this, Nolan quickly pulled Brandon inside.

After they finished eating, Lily Callahan and Hayley took the kids and went home first.

Grace then pulled Nolan and Brandon outside.

"Nolan, Brandon, what are your plans for the future? Do you plan to work at the factory for the rest of your lives? Or have you ever thought about going out and trying to make something of yourselves?" Grace didn’t bother beating around the bush and got straight to the point.

Nolan was silent for a long time before asking Grace, "Little sis, if you have something to say, just say it. You have a plan, don’t you?"

"I heard they’re going to bring back the college entrance exams soon. I want to take them." Grace nodded, not hiding her intentions.

Nolan furrowed his brow. "The college entrance exams? Where are you planning to go?"

"Coronet, probably. The universities there are better," Grace answered almost without thinking.

In her past life, the thing she’d wanted most was to get into Coronet University, but she had unfortunately given up that dream for Caleb Forrest.

Now that she was divorced and all alone, there was nothing holding her back. She could finally be free to chase her own dreams.

Nolan and Brandon exchanged a look, then Nolan scratched his head. "Are you suggesting that Brandon and I move to Coronet to find work?"

"Even though Brandon and I have some skills, I’m afraid our prospects wouldn’t be that great in Coronet, would they?"

"For people in our kind of technical jobs, if we leave our current workplace and go to another factory, we won’t get a good position. If we have to start from the bottom, we might as well stay in Prospera Town."

"The cost of living in Coronet must be expensive, and it would probably be a hassle for your little nephew to go to school there."

Nolan sighed after speaking. "It’s my fault for not being capable enough, for not having much money. If we went to Coronet, I’m afraid we wouldn’t even have a house and could only afford to rent."

"Your sister-in-law is pregnant right now. How could I let her follow me to a life of hardship?"

"Grace, if you’re really worried about being lonely in Coronet, Brandon and I can save up a little each month and have Mom and Dad go to Coronet to keep you company. We’ll cover the cost."

Listening to Nolan’s words, Grace didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, but at the same time, she was deeply moved.

Nolan really did think of what was best for her in every way.

"Nolan, that’s not what I mean. If the policies open up and people can start their own businesses, would you and Brandon consider it?" Fearing that Nolan was about to go back and discuss the matter with Lily Callahan, Grace quickly spoke up.

Nolan was taken aback, then frowned. "Grace, how could you have such an idea?"

"They haven’t been cracking down on profiteering as hard these past few years, but there’s been no official word that it’s allowed. Besides, what kind of business could Brandon and I even do? We don’t know the first thing about it."

"I’m a carpenter, and Brandon is an electrician. What could we possibly do?"

Brandon chimed in to agree, "Yeah, little sis, we’re not cut out for that kind of thing."

"Who says you’re not? Besides, what about your wives? Those two are sharp as tacks; they’d be naturals at running a business. I have connections. You could open a clothing store or a restaurant—both are great options."

"Why don’t you go back and discuss it with your wives? Anyway, there’s no official news out yet, so we can think about it ahead of time. Once we’ve thought it through and the new policies are announced, we can hit the ground running."
