I reincarnated as an elf .......and married the yandere villainess.-Chapter 60:Last night.
The house had never been this noisy and disorganised even when they hosted banquets themselves.
Atheline had to skip servants running around carrying ceremonial things as they decorated the house.
Some of them would occasionally nod to him as they passed by him too busy to talk unlike normal.
Atheline felt pity for them but he could already imagine how chaotic his own preparations were going to be.
He knew he wasn’t going to look at sleep tonight, none of them were.
His gaze went out the window. The eclipse had already started and tomorrow would mark the last day when the moon and the sun fully overlapped for a whole twenty-four hours before it went back to normal.
Atheline pushed open the door to his room and closed it softly behind him.
She wasn’t in bed as he had expected. His eyes scanned the surroundings before he noticed her seated on the balcony.
His balcony was large since he used it to plant things that fascinated him.
It was mostly dubbed as his own private garden and she seemed to have made it her favorite place during the days she had been staying with him.
The moment he touched the door, she turned to look at him her eyes immediately assessing him from top to bottom.
Atheline stood still and let her look before walking to her.
He leaned in and kissed her and took a seat beside her on the lounge seat she was lying on.
"How was your meeting?" She asked.
"It was good, my parents offered their blessings for the marriage," Atheline answered with a smile on his face.
She raised an eyebrow obviously not believing him. She let a small chuckle and ran a hand through his hair untangling the note holding it up.
"If your parents hadn’t accepted would you have married me?" She asked with a sharp smile on her face.
Atheline could feel the temperature drop as she gazed at him waiting for an answer.
He knew she would have married him regardless but it doesn’t hurt to get a blessing.
Karma and all.
She had probably had one of her shadows following him.
There was no way she would leave him to his own devices even in his own home. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
She just knew how to hide her madness behind the fallacy of control she always wore.
"Of course I’ll marry you," he answered, " you’re meant for me."
Her hand moved down to his neck. It pressed briefly on his Adam’s apple before it loosely hung on his neck.
Atheline wasn’t fazed. He had gotten used to her doing this. She hadn’t tried to knock him out again so he knew he was at least a step out of the woods.
His gaze went to his mark on her wrist and she noticed his gaze.
"Does it make your heart flutter that you’ve marked me," she asked.
Atheline nodded and touched the mark.
She chuckled her eyes narrowing. Her hand moved from his neck to his lips.
She rubbed it softly before leaning in and kissing him. Their breath intermingled as they kissed, spit moving between them while their tongues battled for dominance.
They separated a string of saliva left as evidence of their little endeavour. She placed her forehead on his while they both breathed heavily.
"You’re supposed to be at the palace," Atheline whispered.
Since the wedding was to be held tomorrow. The bride and the groom weren’t supposed to be together.
This was a well-known fact, though it wasn’t required most people maintained it to have that sense of surprise when they saw their bride.
"Why, do you not want me to stay with you?" She whispered back.
Atheline shook his head. She was twisting his words against him again.
"No, I thought you would have free time to prepare. "
’I want some time too okay, I haven’t even tried my wedding robes yet, since the fitting’
"It’s fine, I’ve done everything that is needed. I’ll finish all my preparations here"
Atheline nodded.
"Is there anything in your culture that I must know beforehand so that I won’t mess anything up?" He asked changing the subject.
She leaned back in the lounge and shook her head.
"Except for the mixing of blood during the vow exchange, there is nothing else?"
"Mixing of blood?" He asked.
"We’ll have to cut the middle of our palms and hold hands to allow our blood to mix."
"Ooh.. that’s.. something."
"You don’t want to do it?" She asked her voice dropping a beat.
Atheline hurriedly shook his head.
"No.. It’s just something new. We’re already bound why would something like that scare me?"
Lilith smiled and nodded. She moved to the side and patted the space next to her.
Atheline moved faster than his body could carry him. She waited for him to settle before lying on top of him.
The softness of her body on him becomes even more pronounced.
’Just one night, one!’
"I have a gift prepared for you," she suddenly said breaking the comfortable silence
Atheline looked at him, his anticipation visible to her.
"What is it?" He asked.
She chuckled to herself as though she had thought of something funny.
"I’ll give it to you after our wedding night, " she said and lay her head on his chest directly on his heart.
"Why can’t you give it to me now?" He insisted.
"Because I don’t want to," she said," just be a good boy and wait."
Atheline raised an eyebrow at her pet name and chuckled to himself.
"Sure, I can be a very good boy then."
They both chuckled.
A knock startled both of them from their laziness. Lily was almost falling asleep and Atheline was too lost in thought, planning for their future.
"Young master, the preparations are ready," Lucian’s voice came through the door.
Atheline glanced down at the clearly irritated lily and chuckled.
"Time to prepare for our wedding," he said while running a hand through her hair.
She groaned and got up. They had so many things to do before they could present themselves tomorrow.
"Should we just marry ourselves and go, this is becoming annoying, " she muttered to herself but Atheline still heard her.
"We’ll only separate for a few hours then we’ll be together forever."
She looked at him her eyes narrowed.
"Do you have any female attendants?" She suddenly asked.
’That was sudden’
Atheline shook his head.
"No, all are male. There’s nothing to worry about, " he paused," how about I hurry my process then I can come to you."
She smiled.
"You know me well."
