I Regenerate 10,000 Times Faster-Chapter 209: Exposed
Tyrion smiled, but did not respond to Donnie. The noble apprentices laughed upon hearing his words. This was also a good chance for them to salvage their reputations, which had been tainted during the second round of examination. This time around, the noble apprentices would let the civilian apprentices know that their lowly humble births could never challenge the nobles' statuses.
"Brother Lickeden, are you feeling confident? If you lose, you will be shamed," Clay asked.
"You may rest assured that I will not be the loser this time," Tyrion said calmly.
Soon, the materials required for the third round of examination were all ready. So, the third round of examination officially began.
...
"The third round of the certification test is about to start. There are a hundred sets of materials for each serum. You have three days, and within these three days, if your success rate is less than 1%, you shall be eliminated," Aaron announced solemnly.
The first two examinations had tested them on their potentials and foundations. The real assessment that would determine whether they could become Chemists or not was this third test, so it was obviously the most important one.
Even if one's results were average in the first two rounds, the person would not be eliminated yet. However, they would be eliminated straightaway if they could not pass the third test. The apprentices came forward with serious faces, as passing this examination was the only thing that mattered.
"As someone who has experienced this before, I should remind you that the higher your success rate, the higher your score. It's not easy to earn points after becoming a Chemist," Aaron said.
At the Alchemy Guild, serums or pharmaceutical knowledge could only be exchanged for points. At the same time, when used in transactions between the Chemists, points could buy a good amount of rare items that one could not get on the outside, thus making the points more useful than money. As such, even thought Chemists were not short on money, they still wanted to get points.
"You can start!" Aaron gave them the green light to begin the third round.
All of them immediately went to work, as they only had three days to cultivate 300 doses of serum! As such, these three days were crucial!
At this time, no one had any time to waste in provoking the others, or even to mock Tyrion. This was because the most important thing was to finish the serum within the allocated time.
Among the three serums that I've chosen, the Atomic Serum is the most difficult. But, it also the serum that I'm most familiar with. However, in order to not arouse suspicion, it would be more appropriate to cultivate the normal Atomic serum...Tyrion thought to himself.
He had now mastered the Enhanced Atomic Serum and Red Moon's Blood, which were both much more powerful than the original Atomic Serum. However, these two kinds serums could expose his identity. Hence, they could not be used. But, this did not mean that Tyrion intended to produce just a simple Atomic Serum.
The Atomic Serum can be cultivated last, so I'll finish cultivating the other two serums first...
In addition to the Atomic Serum, Tyrion had also prepared two other simpler F-grade serums, which were the Lunn Serum and the Nigeh. These two serums were named after their creators, but the more common names for them were the Healing Serum and the Tanking Serum.
The Healing Serum was very helpful for external injuries, such as gunshot wounds, knife wounds, and so on. Excluding internal injuries, the serum would be able to heal any injury quickly.
It was helpful even for minor colds, heat stroke, dizziness, mild poisoning and so on. As such, it was one of the most commonly used serums.
This kind of serum was also one that every adventurer would bring with them when they went out to explore. After all, a bottle of Healing Serum could solve many problems out on the open road. Moreover, the price was relatively cheap, costing only 100 original gold for one bottle.
The second kind was an Tanking Serum. Its effects were mirrored its name, as drinking would strengthen one's skeletal muscles and greatly increase one's ability to fight. One's recovery rate would also accelerate.
This made the serum vital, as resistance was extremely important, especially during battles. Sometimes, even though someone had suffered a fatal wound, because they had used the serum, their ability to resist beatings had increased. As such, there might be a chance that they would survive.
Tyrion hadn't wanted to cultivate the Atomic Serum at first. Instead, he had prepared a third antibiotic serum, which could strengthen the body's immune system and weaken any virus.
Even though human beings had evolved to adapt to the new environment, in the outside world, there were still many dangerous places that were filled with mutant viruses, where even an evolved human body would be vulnerable.
Therefore, Antibiotic Serums were also essential serums for adventures. Moreover, they were also not difficult to produce.
But, now that one of the serums had been restricted, Tyrion could only abandon his original idea of using the Antibiotic Serum and cultivate the Atomic Serum instead.
Starting with the first Healing Serum, Tyrion picked up the materials and began to work...
...
Meanwhile, the higher ups of the Alchemy Guild were looking down intently at the apprentices from the roof. The apprentices were busy cultivating their serums.
Donnie, in particular, was the object of their interest, as Donnie was the best match for perhaps being the Fiend. As they watched, many commented on this very fact...
"The more I look at Donnie, the more likely I feel that he is the Fiend. Look at his skilled hands! They are almost as skilled as an F-grade certified Chemist."
"We've also seen videos of the Fiend cultivating the Enhanced Atomic Serum, and his approach, though quantitative, was only at the level of an F-grade Chemist. This narrows it down, as there are only three people at that level.
"Prince's too young and Kayla's a woman, so Donnie's the most likely one."
Groode did not respond to any of these comments. Instead, he just looked at everybody carefully. As long as they were cultivating the Atomic Serum, he would look at the details of their actions, then rule them out one by one.
On the first day, very few apprentices chose to cultivate the Atomic Serum. Hence, Groode was able to assess them quickly.
Just as everyone was watching carefully, there was a sudden knock on the door of the conference room. Soon after, a man hurried in. It was Marie's assistant, Ginna.
"Didn't I say that there was an important meeting today, and that nobody was allowed to enter?" Gaffrite asked stormily.
Ginna looked pale, but he still pressed on and said, "President, I have important news."
"What could be more important than this meeting?" Marie looked at her assistant coldly, then barked, "Leave now!"
However, Ginna continued to walk up to Marie, whispering in her ear, "Miss Marie, I've found that someone had used another's recommendation letter for the certification test."
Marie hurriedly asked, "Who is it?"
"That man there. I've checked all of the Chemist's recordings in the data base and found out that the picture in the recommendation ID doesn't match."
As he was explaining, Ginna had sent an email to Marie.
Marie opened the email, surprised. "How could it be him?"
"Marie, what has happened?" Gaffrite asked in a deep voice.
"President..." Marie bent down and whispered Ginna's findings in Gaffrite's ear.
As Gaffrite heard her shocking words, his pupils dilated.
"Do not let anyone know about this matter!" Gaffrite said seriously.
Ginna and Marie nodded.
