I Picked the Useless Class… Turns Out It's the Most Broken in the Game-Chapter 78: A Tiny Tube
She extended her hand and looked right into the eyes of Leon. "Do you perhaps mean her?" She asked.
A sudden glow of light appeared around her hand, and when the light faded, a small tube rested in her palm.
A tiny body of something rested inside the tube, looking lifeless.
Leon’s eyes widened, and he extended his hand as he grabbed the tube from her hand.
"What’s the meaning of this?" He said, agony was dripping out through his gaze.
His dark mana began to pour through his body, the mana so pure that Valleria choked on it.
But before it could turn fatal, she guided her mana flow toward Leon’s mana, countering it as she regained her senses.
’To think she could oppose a flow of pure dark mana... amusing indeed.’
’The kid’s mana isn’t that strong yet, but the mana of the lord isn’t something that you can endure.’
"Listen to me before letting your mana run wild, or you’ll suffer mana backlash." She said, a bead of sweat rolled down her cheek.
Leon took a deep breath as he calmed his senses. "Speak," He said, crossing his arms.
"I did that because I sensed a strange, yet strong mana,"
"If I hadn’t captured her, Jeffrey or Victor would have used her as food for the undead." She said.
Leon listened to her clearly as a thought curled up inside his mind.
’She’s not wrong.’
"Is she safe? If she’s not, then I’ll not let you stay alive." He said as a shadow sword appeared inside his grasp.
"Whoa... wait, wait," Valleria said, taking a step back.
She extended her hand again, closed her eyes as she murmured something under her breath.
The tube began to evolve. Moments later, it evaporated, and a beautiful fairy with shiny green wings appeared in its place, unconscious.
Leon’s expression turned warm, his brows relaxed as he quickly grabbed her in his grasp.
He just stood there calmly, it seemed as if he didn’t even get shocked by the sudden reveal.
Draviel was standing in the corner of the room, leaning against the wall as his arms crossed.
’He’s trying to pull himself together... but the mental burden he’s suffering currently is far heavier than he’s reflecting.’
’I don’t know why I gave you that task, and I don’t know why you obeyed it.’
’I don’t know if I am the worst master... or if I was ever worthy of that title.’
"I’m sorry, Sylphaine. This foolish master of yours swears he will never again place his own desires above your safety... or let you fall into danger for his sake." He muttered, almost a whisper.
Leon placed his hand on Sylphaine’s body and started to let his mana flow through his palm.
He looked at her with apology in his eyes, trying his best not to let the tears spill out.
He drove his mana toward the point where their bond was placed inside his body, letting it channel fully into it.
Soon after, a faint nerve began to pulse inside her body, as if everything had finally settled into place.
She raised her hands as she rubbed her eyes. Slightly opened them and muttered. "Umm... master... are you alright!?"
Leon’s eyes widened, and the tears that he was trying to hold back finally welled up in his eyes.
"Coming back from that situation, and still thinking about me?"
Her eyes opened fully, looked at Leon as she noticed that he was crying.
Her eyes widened as she reached out, rubbing the tears from his face, but her own eyes filled with tears as well.
"Master, why are you crying?
Did I fail the task you gave me?" she asked, sobbing.
Leon shook his head, a drop of his tear rolled down his cheek, and as it fell on her face. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
Green mana covered her body, and then started to flow inside her. Her weakened state started to improve, and her mana started to return to normal.
After that, she extended both her arms up in the air as she flew from Leon’s grasp.
"I can feel my strength again, YAY!!" She said out loud.
A warm smile appeared on Leon’s face. "I’m glad to hear that, little troublemaker." He muttered.
His eyes shifted towards Valleria, who stood a few meters away, looking at him with a feeling of guilt in her gaze.
She bowed her head lightly. "I’m sorry for capturing her... my intention wasn’t bad, I swear on my name as a mage." She said.
Leon waved his hand, signalling her to get back up. "No need to do all that, you’re older than me in age and even of a higher rank than me as a mage.
I’ll overlook this mistake of yours because Sylphaine is fine." He said, voice cold.
She lifted her head, but her gaze still remained fixed on the ground.
Leon’s gaze shifted towards Draviel. "Let’s get out of here. We’ve wasted a little too much time in here." He said.
Draviel didn’t say anything for a while, but then gave a nod.
"You’re the one who was with them. So, tell me if you know any way out of this chamber." He said as he looked at her through the side of his eye.
She walked towards the corner of the room, steps steady. "Getting out of here is pretty simple." She said.
A marble was placed in the middle of the wall, which was different from the other.
She extended her hand and pressed the marble. The wall in front of her started to shake.
The ground beneath their feet trembled as the wall slid slowly to the left.
A path that was hidden behind the wall appeared. It was wide, nicely made with marble, and the lights were placed at each corner of it.
