I Picked the Useless Class… Turns Out It's the Most Broken in the Game-Chapter 33: Spirit King?
The energy that was radiated through the pond of divine mana was the divinity of the mother tree.
Spirit’s eyes widened slightly, its hand started to extend towards the pond, and the moment the fingertips of the spirit touched the pond.
A huge wave of mana got deflected towards the spirit, the mana wrapped around its body as if it was trying to circle around it whole.
The spirit startled as its eyes forced closed themselves, hand of it raised as it covered the face of its. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
A low groan escaped through its mouth. "EEEE!!!"
Everything around it went silent as if nothing had happened. Spirit opened one of its eyes and took its hand to its normal position.
Spirit’s mouth opened, a small drop of drool dropped through it, and eyes widened completely.
A man stood in front of her with a quiet grace, his long green hair of his were flowing down from his back, catching the light with a soft, natural glow.
His face was sculpted, with gentle eyes, sharp yet elegant features that could win the heart of any beauty, and a calm beauty that felt almost unreal. A white robe was clinging to his back.
Spirit’s voice came out loud, tone was confused and shocked. "S-SPIRIT KING!??"
The man’s gaze fell on the spirit, and a small warm smile appeared on his face as he said. "Oh, a noble young spirit?"
The spirit gulped as it fell onto its two knees and bowed its head down on the ground. "Y-yes, spirit king."
The man raised one of his hands and waved it slightly. "Ah... you don’t have to do that, I’m not a spirit king anymore. New one already took my place."
The spirit nodded, its head was still down, and its gaze was fixed on the floor. "Y-yes, spirit king. It’s been centuries since we last heard from you."
The spirit took a small pause, and a bead of sweat welled up on its temple. "Beg my pardon, but what are you doing here, spirit king?"
Spirit King closed his eyes for once, and his voice came once again. "I’m not here, it’s just a feeling that you’re feeling."
He took a small pause and then opened his eyes, looking straight into the eyes of the spirit. "Wake up."
He said as he flicked the forehead of the spirit. The spirit’s eyes opened suddenly, it staggered back a bit, and found itself in front of the pond once again.
"W-what was that!?" The spirit muttered under its breath.
The strange presence of the divinity was still coming out through the pond.
A small sigh escaped through the mouth of the spirit as it travelled back out of the core of Leon’s.
Spirit looked at Leon once and then leaned in closer to his face and extended its hand.
A loud smacking sound filled the chamber. Leon’s eyes opened instantly, and a small stinging pain ran through the entire cheek.
When he woke up, his gaze fell on the spirit that was in front of his eyes, slightly leaning towards his face.
He grabbed the spirit into his grasp, threw her to the nearby wall, and pushed himself to get out of the bed, standing on his two feet now.
His expression turned serious, his eye twitched slightly as his voice came out firm. "Who are you?" He said.
The spirit got sent flying backwards towards a wall, back of crashed into the wall with a loud THUD.
The spirit gagged as its mouth opened and small splashes of its saliva flew out through it. Its eyes of it got closed as it rolled down and fell on the floor, its back resting next to the wall.
One of its eyes opened, and a small, painful groan left through its mouth. "Ughh!!"
Leon walked closer towards the spirit, his steps were slow and deliberate, gaze was fixed on the spirit.
"I asked something from you. Who are you?" He said, his voice was steady and firm.
The spirit’s lips parted slightly, voice came out a bit cracky. "I-I’m a spirit..."
He raised one of his eyebrows and said. "Why would a spirit follow me? And enter my room when I was sleeping?"
"Because you’re too kind to nature. I heard your and that girl’s conversations earlier in the forest." The spirit said, and took a small pause in its sentence.
It continued, barely trying to maintain its voice. "I sensed that you were kind to nature, and you’re not an evil man. So, I got a bit curious and followed behind you."
He raised his hand and kept it under his chin, closed his eyes. "Hmm, what do you want from me?" He said.
The spirit used the last bit of strength which was left inside of its injured body, pushed itself back in the air and flew towards Leon.
Its voice came out low, tired. "Make a pact with me, boy," Spirit said.
His eyes widened slightly, his voice came a bit shocked, but he maintained his usual calm.
"Why do you want to form a pact with me? Spirits like you usually don’t form a pact with random people." His tone was dripping with suspicion.
The spirit raised both of its hands and directed them towards Leon, its head moved slightly backwards as if it was trying to act peacefully.
"Listen, you’re a bit too interesting for me... and I sense a strange aura from you, make a pact with me, human boy."
A small sigh escaped through his mouth as he muttered under his breath. "Why am I the only one who’s getting entangled with ’Cringe Speech’ maniacs?"
’What do you think, Draviel? Should I form a contact with it?
Draviel didn’t reply for a while, but his voice came deep. "That being can be used as an errand servant."
Leon lifted his hand as he kept it on his face and let out a sigh. "Okay, let’s form a pact."
A warm, bright smile appeared on Spirit’s face. It swung both its hands down in excitement as it leaned forward towards Leon’s face.
