I Just Wanted to Teach Cultivation, But Goddesses Keep Coming!-Chapter 271 Plucking A Hundred Flowers in a Single Night
Lin Feng stood tall, listening intently.
In this moment, he was completely in his element.
There was no trace of arrogance or indulgence in his bearing and only the steady presence of a mentor devoted to his role.
His posture was straight, his gaze attentive, and his aura carried a quiet authority that commanded both respect and trust.
To any observer, he looked like the very image of a noble teacher and someone who would not hesitate to sacrifice everything, even life and limb, for the sake of his students.
And with his open invitation, his newly arrived, beautiful students immediately grew competitive, each eager to outshine the others.
"Mentor Lin Feng, I am..."
"I’m so glad to be here, Mentor Lin..."
"Please, have some decorum! I’ll go first..."
Voices overlapped all at once, turning what had been a brief moment of order into utter chaos.
The calm atmosphere shattered instantly as dozens spoke at the same time, each trying to seize his attention.
Some of them had clearly been well-trained by their clans and that training made them bold and willing to do anything in order to achieve their quest and mission.
The scene quickly devolved into something more akin to a bustling marketplace than a respectable place of learning.
"This is... quite something," Lin Feng muttered, unable to stop himself from shaking his head.
There was a hint of amusement in his eyes as he observed the lively chaos.
For a brief moment, he simply let it play out, enjoying the energy of it all.
But only for a moment.
Raising his hand slightly, his presence alone was enough to cut through the noise.
"The ones in the front will begin," he said calmly. "Then proceed one by one, from left to right."
His tone wasn’t loud, yet it carried an unquestionable authority.
This time, no one dared to interrupt.
The chatter died instantly, and the crowd fell into obedient silence, each person waiting their turn.
But soon, Lin Feng found himself facing an entirely different kind of challenge.
"Hello, Mentor Lin Feng. I’m an orphan who came here to study under the best mentor in all of this region. I make ends meet by singing on the streets, though it’s barely enough to keep a roof over my head. There are days when men approach me with indecent proposals, one after another... but I refuse to give in. I believe there’s a better future for me. Now I’m just waiting for a strong, capable man to sweep me off my feet, and I’m willing to do anything for him and love him unconditionally!"
"Mentor Lin Feng, I am kind and diligent. I know how to cook, clean, and..."
"I am well-versed in the arts of the Secrets of the Jade Chamber, Mentor Lin Feng. I memorized all the positions. You certainly won’t be disappointed. I can even..."
One after another, the women spoke with startling boldness, their words far exceeding simple introductions.
Instead of brief names and passions, many presented themselves as though they were vying for something far more personal like candidates competing for the role of a wife or concubine.
Each tried to stand out.
Each tried to offer something the others could not.
All of them were willing to lie, cheat and kill just to get Lin Feng’s attention.
And most took far longer than the five breaths he had originally instructed.
Lin Feng stood there, momentarily stunned.
He had expected enthusiasm but not this.
Their confidence, their persistence, and above all, their complete lack of restraint left him at a rare loss for words.
No matter how composed he usually was, even he couldn’t help but feel a flicker of disbelief.
He truly hadn’t anticipated just how shameless these beautiful women could be.
In the end, the class finally drew to a close, though not all his students had managed to finish their introduction.
Three hours had slipped by, entirely consumed by name recitals and personal boasts, yet Lin Feng remained unfazed.
"To those of you who did not get a chance to introduce yourselves, don’t worry," Lin Feng said, his voice calm but carrying clearly across the now-emptying stadium. "By tomorrow, I will have memorized your names well enough to call you individually. That is when our proper discussions and training will begin. Prepare yourselves. I do not tolerate laziness, and I fully expect each of you to give your all during class and training. Only effort and sincerity will earn you progress here."
With a nod, he dismissed the class.
Students murmured polite thanks and filed out, buzzing with excitement and curiosity, whispering about the unprecedented first day.
Among the departing crowd, one figure lingered, almost comically serious in contrast to the excitement around him.
Yuan Bao had spotted an opportunity, and he was determined not to waste a single second.
He positioned himself deliberately near the exit, assuming the posture of absolute confidence. "Hello, everyone!" he announced loudly, his voice carrying far enough to be heard over the lingering chatter.
"My name is Yuan Bao, but you may call me Big Brother Bao, or Senior Bao, if you wish. If you have questions, or seek guidance, I am fully available to assist you. I have all the time in the world to accommodate your needs."
He clasped his hands behind his back, closed his eyes, and adopted the exact same aloof, statuesque stance Lin Feng had used which was an effective attempt at commanding respect and attention with nothing but posture.
In his mind, it was only a matter of moments before a swarm of eager students would come flocking, begging for advice, vying for his approval.
"Any moment now... they’ll all be praising me, fawning over me from left and right," he thought, excitement and anticipation fluttering through him like wildfire.
A minute passed.
Nothing happened.
Two minutes.
Still nothing.
By the third minute, Yuan Bao’s eyes snapped open in disbelief.
The women around him barely glanced his way, moving past him as though he were nothing more than a statue or a piece of furniture.
