Chapter 1668: Drastic

A declaration of war, just like that!

The moment those words were spoken, everyone's expression changed, even Shendao Chen's.

It was common for Supreme Divine Civilizations to have friction and conflict, but no one dared to escalate it to the level of total war. Everyone understood what a full-blown civilization war entailed; the consequences would be catastrophic.

And now, as long as the man before them gave the word, the Immortal Treasures Pavilion would not hesitate to launch a war against a Supreme Divine Civilization.

The crowd was stunned.

The Immortal Treasures Pavilion had always been known for its diplomacy, for keeping peace with every power it encountered. Yet now, it was showing absolute madness.

This was madness. Utter madness.

Compared to the others' shock, Lin Jun and his son were already in complete terror. Their faces were pale, their legs trembling. Young Pavilion Master?!

They never imagined that the person standing before them was their own Pavilion Master's heir.

It was over. Completely over.

Especially Lin Yun. The moment he recalled how he had just threatened to exterminate the other party's entire clan, he realized there was absolutely no chance he'd make it out alive.

He was filled with endless regret. Why was I so stupid? Why did I choose to stand with Shendao Chen? Why did I feel the need to show off?

A mistake. A massive mistake.

But whose fault was it?

Lin Yun suddenly turned and glared at Lin Jun, and his face contorted with rage.

"It's all your fault, you senile old bastard! If you'd taught me properly, would I have made such a mess? Damn you, you useless dog!"

If the child wasn't disciplined enough, blame the father. Couldn't argue with that logic.

Lin Jun couldn't hear anything anymore. His eyes were filled with nothing but despair, endless despair. He knew it was over. Not just for him, but for the entire Lin Clan.

The former glory and wealth that once towered over others had now turned into a death sentence.

Meanwhile, Tuogu Yuan and Xiao Yuanqi, who had been standing beside Ye Guan, had their mouths wide open in shock.

Yang Guan... was Ye Guan!

The two were completely dazed. They turned to look at each other, as if seeing ghosts.

A short distance away, Mu Xinghe was practically trembling with excitement. He had been full of despair just moments ago. How were they supposed to survive both the Divine Dao Civilization and the Immortal Treasures Pavilion?

But now? How were they supposed to die?!

He wanted to scream. "I beg you, let me die!"

As for Mu Xingchen, she was still buzzing with excitement and hadn't even registered the part about Ye Guan being the Young Pavilion Master.

The entire world fell into dead silence.

Everyone's eyes were on Ye Guan. One nod from him, and war would erupt. No matter how the Divine Dao Civilization responded, the Bei Clan, Nan Clan, and Tuogu clans were doomed.

Just then, a group arrived, the Nan Clan's powerhouses, led by their clan leader Nan Lin, father of Nan Zhao.

Nan Lin rushed over to Ye Guan and bowed deeply with respect and fear.

"Young Pavilion Master, Nan Zhao has already been cast out of the Nan Clan's records. He is no longer one of us. Whatever you wish to do with him, we will not interfere."

Nan Zhao trembled where he stood, his face pale, and he stared blankly at Nan Lin.

Ye Guan looked at Nan Lin but said nothing.

Seeing Ye Guan's silence, Nan Lin grew more terrified. "If it's still not enough to calm your anger, I..."

Before he could finish, Nan Zhao suddenly stepped forward. He walked up to Ye Guan and knelt down. His fleshly body and soul ignited, and he burned away rapidly.

Ye Guan looked down at him, unmoved.

Nan Zhao raised his head and looked at Ye Guan.

"I acted on my own. I'll take responsibility. Let me die, but spare the Nan Clan."

Still, Ye Guan said nothing.

Nan Zhao didn't speak again. His fleshly body and soul faded quickly, but his gaze was no longer fearful.

Nan Lin turned away, unable to watch. His heart was bleeding. It wasn't that he was heartless, but as the clan leader of the clan, he had to think of everyone's future.

Just as Nan Zhao's soul was about to vanish completely, Ye Guan suddenly spoke.

"Gather."

A supreme law imprinted itself into Nan Zhao's soul sea. In an instant, his soul reformed and stabilized. The flames on his fleshly body vanished without a trace.

Nan Zhao looked at Ye Guan in confusion while Nan Lin stared in disbelief.

Ye Guan simply waved his hand.

"Everyone, disperse."

Disperse? The crowd was stunned.

Ye Guan turned to the commander of the Immortal Pavilion Guard.

"Take me to my mother."

The commander bowed. "Yes, Young Master."

Ye Guan looked at Shendao Chen.

"Young people fighting is no big deal, win or lose, it's part of growth. But when an entire clan steps in to bail you out, even a victory will become shameful.

"Within the next hundred years, any genius from your Divine Dao Civilization is welcome to challenge me. If they can force me to draw my sword, I'll return the Divine Dao Celestial Imprint."

Then, he walked away.

Shendao Chen's face was ashen. The Divine Dao Civilization elites around him didn't look any better.

They couldn't beat him in a duel. And ganging up? They weren't confident in that either.

Today was a huge humiliation for the Divine Dao Civilization.

Mu Xinghe suddenly shouted, "Big brother!"

Ye Guan turned and smiled, "I'm heading home for now. Let's catch up another time."

He turned to Tuogu Yuan and Xiao Yuanqi.

"Brothers, let's have a proper reunion soon, with plenty of wine."

Then he soared into the sky with the Immortal Pavilion guards and vanished over the horizon.

Tuogu Yuan and Xiao Yuanqi were stunned.

Off to the side, Wu Yunzai and Yang Seng exchanged glances.

Wu Yunzai chuckled. "So he really was the Young Pavilion Master of the Immortal Treasures Pavilion..."

They both looked toward Shendao Chen. His face was paper-white.

Wu Yunzai whispered, "That seat as Young Master may not last much longer."

After all, Divine Dao Civilization had many geniuses. If you couldn't handle a duel, you'd be replaced. It wasn't that they feared the Immortal Pavilion but as Ye Guan had said, if you can't win in a one-on-one, that's on you.

If Ye Guan had called in backup, the Divine Dao Civilization would've had grounds to retaliate with everything they had. But he hadn't. He'd stood alone—and won.

Nearby, Nan Zhao quietly stood up and walked away.

Nan Lin watched him go, wanting to say something. But in the end, all his thoughts turned into a soft sigh.

Suddenly, the sky cracked open and countless stars fell.

The elites of the Stellar Civilization had arrived!

Under the lead of their clan leader Mu Ling, a large group descended. Mu Xinghe and Mu Xingchen hurried to greet them.

Mu Xinghe bowed, "Clan Leader, elders."

Mu Xingchen also offered a polite nod.

Mu Ling personally helped the siblings up, his face filled with pride.

"Good. You two did well. You've brought honor to the Stellar Civilization. Now come, we'll return and pay respects to our ancestors. They wish to see you."

The siblings left with the elders, turning into starlight and vanishing into the galaxy.

At that moment, another group tore through the sky, the Xiao Clan had arrived.

Leading them was their clan leader, Xiao Long.

Xiao Yuanqi rushed up to greet him.

"Greetings, Clan Leader."

Xiao Long quickly helped him up, laughing heartily. "I've heard all about your actions, how you stood by your friends, never flinched before power. You've done the Xiao Clan proud."

Xiao Yuanqi replied humbly, "All thanks to your guidance, Clan Leader."

Xiao Long's grin grew wide, "Even the Old Ancestor wants to see you. Come!"

Xiao Yuanqi blinked. "The Old Ancestor wants to see me?"

"Yes. It's a massive opportunity. The Ancestor may ask a few things..."

Xiao Yuanqi said quickly, "The Xiao Clan's success is all thanks to you..."

Xiao Long waved his hand, sending others away, then smiled, "No need to flatter me. The Old Ancestor sees through everything."

Xiao Yuanqi hesitated. "Then I..."

Xiao Long said seriously, "No matter what he asks, say this, Ye Guan is your sworn brother. Life-and-death brothers. As for everything else, speak naturally."

Xiao Yuanqi hesitated, unsure.

Xiao Long patted his shoulder and said, "If those above don't like you, it's not because of your personality, it's because you lack value. But the moment you have value, even if you're arrogant, they'll say you've got character."

Xiao Yuanqi nodded, "Understood."

From afar, Wu Yunzai watched Xiao Yuanqi leave and smiled, "Unless something unexpected happens, the Xiao Clan is his now."

The Xiao Clan wasn't a major power but it was a Super Divine Divilization. But with ties to a Supreme Divine Civlization, everything changed.

No force would dare move against them without weighing the consequences.

This is the difference between the upper and lower worlds, down below, it's all blood and blade. Up top, it's connections and politics.

Even if Ye Guan never acknowledged Xiao Yuanqi as a brother, as long as he didn't deny it, everyone would tread lightly.

Just then, the sky tore again.

A group burst forth, it was the Tuogu Clan.

Leading them was their clan leader Tuogu Yu. His face was pale and panicked.

Moments ago, their civilization's destiny had started turning black, indicating a terrible omen.

When he heard what had happened here, he rushed over with all their strongest.

Seeing Tuogu Yu, Tuogu Lin rushed up.

"Clan Leader."

Tuogu Yu ignored him, running straight to Tuogu Yuan.

He asked nervously, "You... are Tuogu Yuan?"

Tuogu Yuan nodded, "Yes. And you are?"

Tuogu Yu forced a friendly smile. "I'm Tuogu Yu, Clan Leader of the Tuogu Clan."

Tuogu Yuan froze. The clan leader?!

To him, this was someone as unreachable as a deity.

Tuogu Yuan hesitated, "Do you... need something from me?"

Tuogu Yu smiled gently and replied, "I've come to take you home."

Tuogu Yuan blinked, asking, "H...home?"

Tuogu Yu nodded. "Yes, back to the main clan. I've already revised the clan records; your branch is now part of the main line."

Tuogu Yuan looked at Tuogu Lin in the distance.

"He just kicked us out of the clan and even banned us from using the Tuogu surname."

Tuogu Lin was speechless.

Damn it.

Tuogu Yu now understood why the clan's destiny had turned black. He shot a cold glance at Tuogu Lin, who felt a chill down his spine.

Looking back at Tuogu Yuan, Tuogu Yu smiled warmly.

"He doesn't make the decisions. Come home."

Tuogu Yuan lowered his head.

"I-I don't dare go back."

Tuogu Yu frowned, asking, "Why?"

Tuogu Yuan glanced at Tuogu Lin and whispered, "I'm just from a branch. I'm scared that I'll get bullied."

Tuogu Lin had no idea what to say.
