I Have a Sailing Game-Chapter 306 - 204: Sea of Lava, Divine Blood (2-in-1)
"It’s said that there’s also a legendary Magma Sub-dragon guarding this place."
"If you’re planning to go, please be very careful!"
Magma Sub-dragon?
Rogel immediately thought of the Purilas he had seen in the cave before. It relied on the scales of the Magma Sub-dragon to complete its metamorphosis, and he still had that scale on him.
"I understand, thank you for the warning."
Rogel nodded.
"By the way, what do you plan to do next?"
Even though Rogel had destroyed the Salt Reef Plundering Group,
as long as the mermaids remained in the Yudona Sea, plundering wouldn’t cease. It’s a phenomenon that exists throughout the Yudonarod Empire.
So, even if they returned to their base, it wouldn’t mean safety for them.
"Well... I’m not sure at the moment..."
Tara gave a bitter smile.
"We’ve lived in the Yudona Sea for a long time. Actually, it’s relatively safe here..."
Rogel was a bit surprised by this: "Why do you say that?"
At present, the Yudonarod Empire didn’t seem very friendly to other races.
Yet Tara said it was relatively safe here.
So, how chaotic could other places be?
"My original homeland was actually in an unclaimed sea area to the south of the Yudona Sea."
"Due to the multitude of other races, that place was already filled with conflict."
"After the war broke out between the Divine Blood and the Sea Barbarian Race, wars raged there, forcing us to migrate here..."
"Although the Yudona Sea isn’t friendly to other races, the Yudonarod Empire hasn’t targeted other races, and the war hasn’t spread here, so..."
Tara sighed.
Rogel couldn’t help but fall silent.
According to Tara, the Yudonarod does seem relatively safer.
"...Tara, what exactly are these Divine Blood and Sea Barbarian Race you mentioned?"
Mira asked curiously.
Everyone was curious about this point as well.
They hadn’t heard of these two races before.
"You don’t know?" Tara was a bit surprised, then scrutinized them seriously.
"It seems your homeland must be a very distant place..."
Tara shook her head with a smile and began to explain to everyone.
"The Divine Blood is a vast Extraordinary Race with powerful bloodlines, which grants them various divine heritage traits, making them devotees of the gods."
"And I feel like they should have some connection with your human race, as you look quite similar apart from the Divine Blood’s divine heritage features..."
"As for the Sea Barbarian Race, it’s also a powerful Extraordinary Race, usually living underwater. They resemble humans in appearance, but they are larger in size."
"Unlike the Yudonarod, these two races haven’t built a complete empire; instead, they expand everywhere through constant battles."
"Their wars have swept across many sea areas..."
Tara sighed deeply.
[You’ve heard some insider information.]
[Mysticism·Peeping Secret provides you with additional information.]
[There is an irreconcilable conflict between the faith of the Divine Blood and the Sea Barbarian Race.]
After listening to Tara, Rogel pondered while considering the hints provided by the game.
It seems the war between the Divine Blood and the Sea Barbarian Race is most likely due to a conflict in their beliefs.
"Since humans and the Divine Blood are quite similar, Tara, how did you know that we are humans? Is there some divine heritage feature on the Divine Blood that makes it obvious at first glance?"
Noemi, with a face of curiosity, asked from the side.
Hearing this, Tara chuckled, "Because you travel by ship."
"The Divine Blood never uses ships."
"Generally speaking, besides humans, only dwarf moles would travel by ship."
"And for races in the ocean, ships are ideal targets for attack, and these two races usually place many treasures on ships, so in the Yudona Sea, encountering a ship often leads to an attack by Yudona."
Noemi suddenly realized and looked at Rogel: "Captain Rogel, no wonder we’re constantly attacked."
"..."
What could I do, could I make the Gelin float in the sky?
Rogel felt helpless.
At this point, Rogel couldn’t help but think of other questions.
It seemed Tara knew quite a lot, and this was a good opportunity to ask more.
The vast sea.
Rogel stood in a Stone Fish Lung, floating on the sea surface, flashing over long distances from time to time, heading towards the western part of the Yudona Sea.
Indeed, Uvie Muzhe’s "Illusion and Reality" ability was like a versatile tool in certain aspects.
Although not omnipotent, it could handle most situations.
Such as traversing long distances like right now.
Uvie Muzhe, being sensible, didn’t let Rogel deplete his Spiritual Value.
Thus, Rogel could maintain his speed and progress quickly.
His current journey was, of course, to the Sea of Lava to obtain two materials needed for coating.
He had dispatched the Gelin and other crew members to escort the mermaids, with Heisatan among them, teleporting as needed.
He would need Tara’s assistance once he found the materials, so it was necessary to ensure their protection.
As he advanced, Rogel checked the books he had acquired from the Reef Fortress, gaining more insight into the Yudona race.
Before long, he suddenly felt a surge of heat coming with the sea breeze.
Looking up, he saw an expanse of dazzling flames, interwoven in shades of orange and red.
[You’ve reached the edge of the Sea of Lava.]
Rogel closed his eyes and activated the Dragon Bloodline within him. Before long, the Dragon Wings unfurled, lifting him into the sky.
Rogel’s face, illuminated by the bright flames, showed a look of amazement.
In front of him, between the magma and the seawater, was a thick layer of black rock.
Beyond the rocks lay the dazzling Sea of Lava, with its orange and red glow making it feel like standing on the sun’s surface, almost impossible to open one’s eyes.
The rolling masses of viscous magma bubbles and the occasional spurts of molten lava were fear-inducing.
Yet, even so, Rogel still spotted the silhouettes of creatures within it.
There was a serpentine unknown creature, made of a jet-black skeleton, roaming within. Its skeletal gaps were filled with viscous magma.
In the sky, some unknown birds covered in a black rocky exterior emitted low calls as they circled above.
A few manta ray-shaped creatures, similar in color to the magma, flew out, flipping twice in the air before diving back into the magma, lively and spirited.
Hoo—
The hot winds kept assaulting, raising the surrounding temperature quite a bit.
Rogel, still at a distance, knew it would feel scorching if he got any closer.
[Magma Manta Ray]
[Type: Creature]
[Quality: Common]
[Level: 34]
[Tier: Apostle]
[Explanation: An Extraordinary Creature living in extremely high-temperature areas, possessing strong reproductive abilities. They are born as creatures of the Apostle Tier, but they lack advanced intelligence and have very low limitations.]
[Mysticism·Peeping Secret provides you with additional information.]
[Young Magma Manta Rays are very playful. They like to jump out of magma while carrying Thermally Stable Stones, enjoying the thrill of gliding through the air.]
This information matched what Tara had said.
It seemed that to find Thermally Stable Stones, one would need to wait for the Magma Manta Rays carrying them to leap out of the magma.
But Rogel didn’t have the patience for that.
Of course, he dared not plunge into such a place headfirst.
Forget his small build; even Heisatan would likely melt down there; it was only a matter of time.
Rogel closed his eyes, making a grasping gesture.
A Magma Manta Ray that had just leaped out was immediately drawn before him by the power of the Illusory Black Stone, unable to move.
Despite its struggles, the Magma Manta Ray couldn’t break free under the suppression of the Illusory Black Stone.
Rogel closed his eyes, and a wisp of Purple light slowly emerged from his brow.
