I Have A Dual World Seal-Chapter 438: Invisibility and Sneaking
Satisfying the small wish of seeing celebrities in person, Lu Zheng once again toured this world-famous tourist destination.
Well, actually, there’s nothing particularly special about it. Hollywood Hills is just a small hill, and the rest is various shopping places, about as bustling as Hai City.
In terms of natural scenery and cultural buildings, this place is far inferior to Hai City. To put it plainly, it’s all about reputation.
Lu Zheng searched the travel platform for Los Angeles’s must-visit attractions, and surprisingly, they were Universal Studios and Disneyland California.
This is quite awkward!
Going to these places, of course, should be with Lin Wan; Lu Zheng couldn’t possibly go alone. What’s the fun in that? To watch other couples flaunt their love?
It’s not like I’m single!
Of course, as the second-largest city in the Lighthouse Country, known as the City of Angels, Los Angeles certainly has its unique characteristics.
For example, the extensive distribution of nightclubs, which outnumber those in Hai City, along with advertisements for gun stores and ranges, and in addition...
It seems that a certain jagged plant-made inhalable substance has already been legalized in the Lighthouse Country, so Lu Zheng also saw shops selling these items and official consumption injection points.
It’s really... a fantasy land...
Lu Zheng marveled at the foreign sights, strolling and exploring, heading in the direction of Los Angeles city center’s Allen Art Company.
"Let’s make a preliminary visit first, and then find a hotel in the afternoon to contact Lin Wan and see what progress she’s made."
Lu Zheng muttered to himself, following the map, and ended up in an increasingly remote area, where he saw three Black men blocking the road ahead.
"What’s going on?"
Lu Zheng blinked, looking around and realizing that the surrounding buildings were significantly more rundown than those on previous streets.
"Wow, did I just walk into a dangerous community?"
Lu Zheng turned around and saw two big Black men blocking the exit.
Looking up, he saw faces fleetingly appearing in some windows, seemingly watching the drama unfold.
"This map navigation isn’t smart; it didn’t automatically avoid dangerous zones. What if other tourists follow this navigation; wouldn’t they be in danger?"
Lu Zheng raised his phone, speaking to the three who had blocked the way, "I’m just passing through, can you let me through?"
The leader sneered, gesturing with his right hand, and the two men beside him rushed up to try and grab Lu Zheng’s arms.
"Sigh! Why bother?"
Lu Zheng shook his head and sighed, standing firm, lifting his leg, and kicking out.
"Smack! Smack!"
With two light sounds, the two who rushed up flew back even faster.
Lu Zheng shrugged, smiling, "Now can you let me through?"
"Chinese Martial Arts, Jack Cheng!"
Lu Zheng nodded. Alright, in this era far removed from Li Xiaolong’s time, now when people see Hua Country folks practicing martial arts, they instinctively think of Jack Cheng.
The two young men who were kicked away scrambled up, but didn’t dare rush again, though they were cursing under their breath.
Lu Zheng furrowed his brows, secretly pinching an imprint, each given a Gathering Yin Curse.
Seeing Lu Zheng instantly handle his two companions, the leader exclaimed, but didn’t respond to Lu Zheng’s words and instead reached back for a Glock.
Lu Zheng: "..."
The leader vehemently said, "You actually dare resist? Do you want to die, Hua Country man?"
"Son of a—"
Lu Zheng shook his head and lightly stomped forward, directly charging out.
"F**k!" The leader cursed, instinctively firing at Lu Zheng.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
After shooting three times, he realized Lu Zheng had reached him.
Reversing, Lu Zheng seized the gun, and the hot muzzle touched the leader’s forehead.
Having just fired the gun, the searing muzzle on his forehead made the leader shiver involuntarily.
But he dared not shout in pain; he feared any sudden move might prompt Lu Zheng to shoot.
So he swiftly raised his hands.
"I surrender! I surrender! Don’t shoot!"
In the next moment, one of the fatties behind him drew a p226 from his back, holding it in both hands towards Lu Zheng.
"Drop the gun! Else I’ll shoot you dead!"
Lu Zheng smirked and then charged towards the fatty.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Two seconds later, the fatty stared bewilderedly at the p226 now aimed at his forehead, while his companion was already crouched on the ground, hands on head.
With both index fingers spinning the guns, Lu Zheng then mimicked Jack Cheng’s movie technique, disassembling both guns one-handed until the parts scattered.
"Crash——"
Dozens of parts clattered to the ground, and Lu Zheng fished out his phone, showing the navigation screen to the leader, "I’m passing through; can you let me through?"
"Of course! Of course! Please, go ahead!"
The leader jumped in fright, hastily stepping aside, saying repeatedly.
Lu Zheng nodded and continued along the navigation route.
"Really unlucky, facing this kind of thing on the first day here."
"Forget it; the Lighthouse Country is too dangerous; I’ll use invisibility to pass."
Turning the street corner, seeing no one around, Lu Zheng pinched an Invisibility Technique spell in his hand, and he suddenly vanished.
...
"F**k! Hua Country martial arts!"
"Terrifying! Hua Country martial arts can really dodge bullets!"
"The movies didn’t lie!"
"Even Jack Cheng can’t dodge bullets, right? This guy’s even more amazing than Jack Cheng!"
"Mom, scared me to death!"
"Tom, you almost got us killed just now!"
"Don’t blame me; you shot later too!"
"Wait, where he’s headed now, is that Eric’s territory?"
"F**k! Is Eric gonna be unlucky too?"
"Let’s follow and see!"
The few hunched over, cautiously running forward, but even after leaving their street area, they didn’t see Lu Zheng again.
...
Already invisible, Lu Zheng let loose, soaring and sliding, quickly reached the building housing Allen Art Company, surprisingly an office building in the city center.
"Such swagger?"
Occupying an entire floor of the building, the seventeenth floor, was Allen Art Company.
Without releasing his invisibility or taking the elevator, Lu Zheng went straight for the stairs, quickly reaching the seventeenth floor.
Exiting the stairs, he saw Allen Art Company’s logo opposite the elevator and a pretty receptionist.
Lu Zheng bypassed the reception and went inside.
Several offices, a small conference room, several small auction rooms, and at the back of their company, a secure room.
Allen Art Company primarily engages in art acquisitions and auctions, as well as selling on behalf of others.
Lu Zheng wandered around but found no evidence or issues.
The next moment, his phone rang; it was Lin Wan calling.
