I hacked through the chaotic world with my blade-Chapter 1355 - 323: The Word "Self-Defense" Is No Longer Pure
This mutant was living well before being found by the headquarters. Although, during his survival, he used some unspeakable methods to harm others, all of it was just to stay alive.
Lin Fan said, "Whether to let you go or not is not up to me. I am just an ordinary citizen."
The kneeling mutant internally ranted, "If that’s what you call an ordinary citizen, then what is a truly ordinary citizen like?"
Zhong Hong, standing by, smiled and said, "Why feel wronged? I know things that he doesn’t. The things you’ve done to survive until now have never been simple, right?"
Swish!
Swish!
The mutants’ eyes fell on Zhong Hong.
Each and every one was trembling with fear.
Just as Zhong Hong said, others may not know, but how could Zhong Hong not know? Even during casual conversations, they who have gained power are already mentally broken.
They love talking about past events. For them, talking about what they’ve done before is a way to add a sense of ruthlessness to themselves, letting other mutants know they are not to be trifled with.
The listening mutants didn’t think much, but Zhong Hong noted each detail in her heart.
Lin Fan looked at Zhong Hong, and though he didn’t speak, his meaning was clear.
Zhong Hong was the type of woman who could understand with just a glance.
"Didn’t you, Qin Fang, say some time ago that the reason you’ve survived until now was that you poisoned everyone around you to death, seized their supplies, and hid in an abandoned basement, barely surviving until the mutant headquarters found you?"
Qin Fang, who was named, still knelt there. Upon hearing Zhong Hong openly reveal his deeds without reservation, his expression drastically changed, looking quite unpleasant, then as if thinking of something, hurriedly protested.
"Not me, I was just bragging, I didn’t do any of that."
Immediately, he pitifully looked at Lin Fan, hoping Lin Fan would believe his words and not believe Zhong Hong’s instigations.
Zhong Hong then pointed at another mutant.
"You also told everyone about your glorious deeds. Drifting outside, you encountered a survivor living in the wild who already had their own shelter. The person kindly took you in, yet you harmed them and even tormented their teenage daughter for a long time..."
The mutant being pointed at turned even paler.
"You’re lying, I didn’t..."
The exposed mutant weakly refuted.
Zhong Hong ignored them, pointing out each one, bluntly repeating the things they had said before.
Lin Fan listened calmly. Having become accustomed to all the horrors of the apocalypse, he still believed the world was wrapped in love, considering those terrible things to be just the tip of the iceberg.
He gazed into the mutants’ eyes.
The mutants, under Lin Fan’s gaze, lowered their heads, feeling a sense of oppression, as if their inner selves had been seen through.
"Regarding your situation, I’ve already decided. I want to hand you over to Officer Huang. If Officer Huang decides to let anyone live, then they will live."
"Or you can turn into brutes, kill me, then step over my corpse. The choice is yours."
Lin Fan was already prepared.
He trusted Zhong Hong, and trusted what he perceived.
At that moment.
A mutant standing by Lin Fan’s side revealed a fierce look in his eyes. Just as he thought he could make a move, he suddenly launched forward, his fingers becoming extremely sharp, lunging at Lin Fan’s body.
Lin Fan had sensed the commotion early on, remaining still, and muttered to himself.
"Once again, my life is threatened, truly a dangerous apocalypse."
The attacking mutant roared, "Damn you, die!"
Lin Fan didn’t finish the mutant with a single punch or kick, but instead dodged and tussled with the opponent for a few seconds.
Zhong Hong was very surprised.
From what she knew of Lin Fan, he usually didn’t need a second move, so why was he now entangled with this mutant?
Quickly, she understood.
The Black Demon, who had remained inactive, was observing. Upon seeing the glorified Lin Fan not being as terrifying as imagined, he truly began feeling emboldened.
"What are you waiting for? It’s all hype. He’s not as formidable as we thought, kill him." The Black Demon was delighted, feeling hopeful, and his words further incited the originally frightened mutants.
Everybody has eyes and can see clearly. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
It really seemed to be as he said.
"Attack."
"Tear him apart."
"Damn it, scared the hell out of me, we really thought it would be like what’s boasted in the Zombie Album, but seeing is believing."
As Lin Fan feigned weakness, the mutants who saw hope became ferocious again.
Zhong Hong shook her head with a smile, realizing these were foolish individuals, wondering if the brain becomes muddled after injecting the agents?
"Pretentious guy, you call yourself the Sunshine Shelter’s Guardian God, perish."
A perfect mutant snarled ferociously, throwing a punch towards Lin Fan’s head. The punch was immensely powerful, the sound of destruction already heard upon it being thrown.
For any ordinary person facing such a punch, they would surely be obliterated, completely destroyed.
While Lin Fan was holding back, suddenly, he slightly squinted his eyes. Facing the charging mutant, he suddenly exploded with seemingly gentle but extremely fast speed, shocking to the world.
