I hacked through the chaotic world with my blade-Chapter 1321 - 313: Dad, I Was Wrong
"Of course, after all, he’s my son, Wang Zixuan’s kid, carrying the name and will of my good brother. He must grow up fast." Wang Zixuan didn’t mind at all. Growing fast means being exceptional; if he weren’t exceptional, there wouldn’t be such a situation.
Gu Hang: ...
Lin Fan said, "What are your plans for the future? Stay here with the whole family or go back to Qing City?"
Wang Zixuan answered without thinking, "Go back to Qing City. Yunyun doesn’t really like crowded places. She wants to return to Qing City to see the flower sea I planted."
"Oh." Lin Fan didn’t say much more. Going back to Qing City was naturally not a problem. From his observations, Wang Qitian’s condition was relatively stable. It’s good if he can rely on his parents; if he couldn’t even recognize his parents, then Lin Fan would have to think carefully about how to handle it.
At that moment.
The satellite phone rang.
Connected.
"Brother Lin, a large zombie horde has appeared at the end of the bridge, heading towards us at a rapid pace."
The patroller in the bridge fortress spoke calmly, having seen it all before, and was long used to it.
"Alright, I’m on my way."
Hung up the phone.
Lin Fan said, "A big zombie horde is heading towards Huang City. I’m heading to the bridge now. If you want to see it, come along."
After saying that, he quickly left.
"My gosh, zombies still dare to come here at this point, especially with me, the zombie emperor Wang Zixuan, present. How arrogant can they be?"
"I must go take a look."
Nowadays, Wang Zixuan was very active. Since the birth of his child, his mindset had quietly changed, and the violent emotions he had once suppressed deep inside were gradually dissipating.
Perhaps this is what they mean by being in high spirits when good things happen; all negative emotions vanished without a trace.
Gu Hang watched as Wang Zixuan ran off like the wind, leaving him blinking in place. Wow, he’s really fast, but he didn’t plan to go to the bridge. With Lin Fan there, the outcome would surely be as he imagined.
At the bridge.
Lin Fan stood on the fortress, gazing into the distance.
The zombie horde was running in great numbers, kicking up clouds of dust. They weren’t making the usual ’hoo-hoo’ roars; they were just heads down, rushing forward.
"A strange zombie horde."
Lin Fan shook his head, quietly watching from a distance. He wasn’t in a hurry to act, thinking he would deal with them easily with Frostmourne once they got closer.
"Brother Lin, can I handle it?" Wang Zixuan appeared beside Lin Fan.
"You want to take action?"
"I can control them, make them twist each other’s heads off."
Wang Zixuan was very confident in his ability to control zombies. As he evolved, the number of zombies he could control increased, as did their levels. Even if an ordinary Creator appeared before him, he’d think about controlling them to make them his little follower.
"Your son is here." Lin Fan sensed and turned back to see Wang Qitian indeed floating over.
Wang Zixuan saw his son’s figure, "Qitian, it’s dangerous. Don’t always float around in the sky."
"He’s stronger than you."
"Huh?"
"He can suppress you. Whether you believe it or not, I suspect the reason this zombie horde is coming is because they were attracted by him."
This was just Lin Fan’s guess, but based on several instances, often the truth wasn’t far off from his guess. It was as if the truth followed his speculations.
Wang Qitian saw Wang Zixuan and then Lin Fan, whom he deeply feared.
He felt like a little lamb in the darkness, while Lin Fan was a pair of eyes calmly watching him. It seemed as if nothing was happening, but that feeling made him shiver uncontrollably.
Even though Wang Qitian was just born a few days ago, appearing as if he didn’t understand anything.
His mind wasn’t childish.
His brain was anything but dumb.
He was always thinking about how to conquer his fear of Lin Fan, and now the opportunity came; he had to cherish it.
"Little baby, why are you here?" Lin Fan asked with a smile; he liked children a lot, all children.
Wang Qitian raised his little head, took out his small hand from his pocket, and with eyes round and bright conveying a naive authority, he stepped forward.
To Wang Qitian, this was just raising his foot and stepping down, but in reality, it was a big step forward in conquering his fear.
Swish!
From afar, a sound of synchronized kneeling could be heard.
The zombies at the edge of the bridge were kneeling down, reminiscent of ancient armies kneeling to an emperor.
Wang Zixuan stared wide-eyed in shock, fixating on his son, recalling a past novel, and couldn’t help muttering to himself.
"My son Qitian, has the bearing of a zombie emperor."
Wang Qitian held his little head high. With the zombie horde kneeling, he tried even harder to raise his head a bit higher.
Pat!
Lin Fan’s hand landed on Wang Qitian’s little head, "Baby, are they kneeling because of you?"
"Yes," he replied, slightly flustered. There’s no doubt; it’s me. Don’t be fooled by my size; my abilities are beyond imagination.
"That’s amazing, truly impressive."
Listening to the praise.
Wang Qitian couldn’t help but smile, yet he restrained himself, not wanting to look too proud, which made his little face contort slightly in an awkward expression.
But the next words confused Wang Qitian.
"But you’re still a baby. Zombies are very dangerous, and not something you can handle right now. Your dad is an adult; he can control them. So let uncle clean up these zombies for you, okay?"
Lin Fan’s voice was extremely gentle; the child was young, and lifting his voice could easily scare him.
So he was very controlled.
Huh?
Wang Qitian blinked, staring at Lin Fan.
What are you saying?
While he was confused, he saw Lin Fan slowly draw Frostmourne, the tip of the sword touching the ground gently.
"Baby, watch closely."
"Numbers often don’t mean much. To uncle, one or countless is often not much different."
"Frostmourne, with your power, wipe out the apocalypse’s evildoers before us."
As soon as he finished.
Frostmourne became covered in red. From its tip emerged countless blood-colored threads. These threads swayed and extended, covering the traffic bridge in no time, rushing towards the distant zombie horde quickly.
The threads entwined the zombies, draining them quickly into dry corpses left to fall to the ground. In a matter of moments, the distant horde had turned into a massive red ocean.
Wang Qitian trembled as he watched the scene before him.
When the threads first appeared, one thread even came before him, seemingly examining him, before merging back into the legion of threads without looking back.
The blood-red threads quickly retracted, back into Frostmourne, the crimson hue disappearing to reveal its original silver-white.
"Ice."
In an instant, frost surged out, sweeping the bridge, covering the surface of those dried corpses.
"Shatter."
Crack!
The distant frost shattered into icy shards taken by the wind, scattering between heaven and earth, sparkling with vibrant colors under the sun’s rays.
Wang Qitian’s heart couldn’t stop trembling.
"Baby..." Lin Fan wanted to reach out and pat Wang Qitian’s head.
Pat!
Wang Qitian knelt down directly, causing Lin Fan’s hand to miss his head.
"Dad, I was wrong."
Beside him, Wang Zixuan turned his head in confusion, "Son, you finally called... huh."
Wang Zixuan’s eyes widened.
Shocked and speechless.
His son wasn’t kneeling in the right direction; why was he kneeling towards Brother Lin and calling him ’Dad’?
Thinking carefully.
Wang Zixuan realized instantly. The child was young, had limited understanding, and must have made a mistake.
No doubt about it; it must be that.
As long as he calls ’Dad’, it’s fine.
Once home, he’ll explain properly that he should call him Dad and Lin Fan Uncle.
Thinking about the child finally being able to call him Dad,
Wang Zixuan’s spirits lifted more and more.
Family, it’s truly wonderful.
